It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce SC4ALL II, the second edition of our StarCraft Community Gathering and LAN taking place on Dec 5-6 in Philadelphia. If you love StarCraft, you’re welcome, you’re cherished, and we’re confident you'll find that SC4ALL is home for you.
When thinking about how to introduce this event to you all, the thought immediately occurred to me that it shouldn’t be my voice that introduces it. It should be a voice that brings you the triumphs and tribulations of legends that we all have come to love. With that thought in mind, nobody was the clearer choice than Mizenhauer to write the forward:
You know it the second you walk in the door. The clacking of keyboards, the hum of conversation, the rows of PC’s and the massive stage watching over it all—it feels like home.
It’s only fitting that the City of Brotherly Love hosts an event for fans with StarCraft in their hearts. Whether it’s seeing friendly faces or meeting someone new, SC4ALL is the perfect opportunity to share the game with those whose passion is equally strong. Whether you were there when Brood War launched, obsessed over it on the N64 or you were exposed to the franchise by Legacy of the Void, there’s something for everyone.
You can play in a tournament, watch feature matches on the main stage or just mill around and talk. After all, it’s hard to find a group of people more welcoming than those at SC4ALL. It’s what naturally happens when fans and players from all over the world travel to celebrate something they love.
And, while Philadelphia is bound to be cold come December, the competition will be hot. With a who’s who of North American pros in attendance, SC4ALL is a chance to earn bragging rights and defend home turf. They will be tested, however, as they’ll have to do battle against a lineup of gamers so legendary, we would be doing the players a disservice by not introducing them individually. I got a chance to cast (something I’ll be doing again this year) and meet some of my favorite pros/community figures.
