I saw another person discuss a similar experience and it really hit home for me. I have been confused about this experience for a long time and denied thinking about it, so I need an honest objective opinion to help me come to terms with what happened.

When I was about ten or eleven years old, my family and I went on holiday. I have an older brother (eight years difference) who I was sharing a room with at the time and he proposed that we do 'massages' for fun. I did not really want to do it, but we never played together much so I just went along with it.

He told me to get on my belly so he could massage my back. He was sitting down on the bed as you would on a chair (back straight and legs over the edge of the bed touching the floor) I was positioned sideways so that my belly was where his thighs were. He proceeded to massage me around my back and other areas before touching my butt and lower half. He was massaging my behind for a while before moving lower to around my genital area, but not touching it directly. I was already uncomfortable, but when I felt this I immediately jumped up and ran into my mothers room and told her what happened. I remember being so guilty and confused.

I believe my mother spoke to him in private but I never got an apology or follow up conversation from either of them. As soon as I told my mother she had this immediate rage in her eyes and stormed out of the room. I'm twenty-two now and still confused. How do I come to terms with this and move on?

Hi Guys. I'm visiting Italy and I come from a colder climate. I only have a couple 'summer' staples but most of them are singlet/strap dresses and I need to cover my shoulders because I burn easily. I have lots of cardigans but they are too warm. I'm looking for a lighter material that won't overheat me. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for light coverups which will be suitable for high humidity?

I'm also on the lookout for a hat, but was thinking I would pick up a plain black cap from my local store. However I'm open to recommendations. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi guys. I have been struggling with breaking the habit of having a snack before bed. I struggle to wind down, and oftentimes I'm awake 4-5 hours after dinner and get hungry again. Any suggestions for easing slight hunger before bed?

My brother (31M) and I (22F) both live in my parents house. I am saving to move out and my brother has no desire to. He is unemployed and spends all night gaming, being extremely loud and yelling slurs to others on voice chat. No matter how many times I have asked him to be quiet so our family can sleep, or express that the words he is saying are toxic and harmful to others, he completely shrugs me off and acts as though my opinion is worthless.

Additionally, he is a smoker and goes into the garage several times an hour for a cigarette. Recently, the smoke smell has seeped into my room (it is adjacent to the garage). When I told him about it, he said that he has been smoking in there for years and that I must be either lying or exaggerating. I acknowledged that I was unsure why the smell had occurred recently, but it was certainly there and causing a stench in my room. Recently my mother came into my room and smelt it herself, so she proceeded to ask him about this too. Despite the support from my mother, he continues to smoke in there regardless.

He acts in selfish and entitled ways often, such as never cleaning up after himself and expecting money from my parents. They tell him repeatedly to find work, get his life sorted, etc, but he is stuck in this routine. I feel as though my parents will never kick him out because they are too protective, and could not face abandoning him despite him desperately needing to gain independence. I feel as though they have given up and let him have his way.

I don't know what to do. Recently, I have resulted to bare minimum contact with him. However, he is my only sibling and I would be devastated to give up on the only one I have.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
