Since I drive an EV with a 13 cents per mile cost, it only cost me $6500 to make $100000 in revenue.
I posted in another sub but they don’t like math.
I input my preliminary numbers into ChatGPT, it is projecting that I retain over 81% of the revenue after tax and vehicle expenses assuming $2 per mile.
Vehicle expenses $6500 SE tax $8885 Fed income tax $1425 CA income tax $2055
Net take home $81000+
Does this seem accurate?
The photo is stuck spinning if there’s no reception. Putting it in airplane mode gets past the photo but it won’t let you complete the delivery if there’s no reception.
In the past you could still complete the delivery and it’ll upload the data when there is reception.
He onboarded about 2 months ago and has about 200 trips completed. I can’t stand this fucker every time he sees me he starts counting how many orders I’ve done for the day. Parks next to me or hangs out next to my car whenever he sees me.
My friend onboarded 7 months ago and lost his newbie priority already despite only doing about 100 orders. Do I do have to wait another 5 months for this fucker to go somewhere else?
Every driver except me from a few months ago stopped coming. This new batch of newbies gets most of the orders and are obnoxious as fuck.

I reported her to a curbside associate.
She left her dog and toddler inside the car while she shopped. The dog was barking a lot so I took a quick look and there was someone in the baby seat too.
A team lead and another associate was by her car when she finally returned.
She did leave a window open a little. It was very hot that day. I got a shop and was walking by them and heard her say it was only like 2 items. I know she was inside for at least 10 minutes.
There are a few drivers waiting in parking lots not getting orders. I take a peek inside and I can see past due or delinquent bills like gas or electric on the passenger seat.
Meanwhile I am in and out every hour, I am caught up on all my bills and just adding to my high yield savings account.

An extra $1000 to $1500 a week in bonus pay is insane. I am getting that every 2 weeks from prop 22, this is effectively 100% more than my bonus what the hell?

I heard Seattle pays even more bonus, I know 2 drivers moved there and making $400+ a day there.
The tips is shown under the trips area but under earnings the tips is not there. It’s showing as if that trip never had a tip.
It’s not a pharmacy and shopping order, I am aware there’s a glitch for those type of orders.
I assume a few months later Spark will catch this and send me an adjustment? They’ve done this a few times in the past so I am hopeful it will happen again.
Though the adjustment that comes in isn’t a tip and therefore isn’t exempt from taxes.
It probably happened before but I didn’t pay attention but I did this time because this was a big tip.
For drivers with high priority making good money, this roll out can only make it worse.
For drivers who are barely making anything, this can only help them, I can’t imagine they will even less.
The ID she gave me the person on it is 30 years old but the customer looked like mid 40s to 50. So I asked if she gave me her daughter’s ID by mistake because she didn’t look 30 and she went crazy on me.
I told her I wasn’t able to confirm the person in the ID is her and took the order back so she can’t rate me.
It was the complete opposite today, drivers who used to cry about no orders are getting orders while I am getting nothing for 2 hours in late morning. Thankfully it picked up in the afternoon but I had to multi app to barely make my $250 goal today and I drove 140 miles.
Did they change the algorithm?
I have been able to put aside my spark earnings and only lived on earnings from other apps. I built up enough savings for a down payment, has anyone got a mortgage with only gig earnings in the last few years?

There’s noticeable less orders available but I was still able to exceed my $250 goal both days on about $2.7 per mile.
The veteran drivers here except me barely see any orders. I am mostly seeing rejects only. Every hour it’s the same few new drivers doing shops. Some of them have over 150 trips but they still get offers with lower metrics than me.
Is there something special or holiday?
My adjustments have been at least 10% higher than I expected and the last 3 adjustments they were 30% more than I calculated.
The active time in California info matches my records and I am using 37 cents per mile. That leaves only the 120% of hourly rate is wrong?
My neighbors water filter hasn’t been working right so she ordered water temporarily as she is a senior and needs it for everything. I think she ordered the 40 packs. Unfortunately the elevator is still under maintenance and can’t be used but she only lives on the 4th floor and the apartment is right by the stairs. Another neighbor lives on the 6th floor and that driver delivered to the front door.
She tipped $3 and I ended up helping her bring 1 case up and she gave me the $3 instead. My back and knee hurts so that’s my limit.
If you accepted an order, don’t be lazy and do your damn job! The address very clearly shows it is on the 4th floor.
