Jeanie buss fired all her siblings, kept Linda and Kurt Rambis. Now is making a fuss over her siblings selling the rest of their stake.

It’s quite ironic that Jeanie is putting up a fuss, doesn’t look like legally she has any legs to stand on. However wants to stay in control of the lakers so bad for some reason after backstabbing every single member of her family.

She has played great PR to always make her look like the hero and their siblings villains. Even in the show running point which she was the producer of, shows her in a positive light.

[Bloomberg] Lakers Owner Walter Seeks Cash to Pay Down Loans Amid DOJ Probe

“Billionaire Mark Walter’s firm is in talks with investors to raise money to help pay down loans on the books of its insurers that had drawn scrutiny from the Justice Department, according to people familiar with the matter.”

“TWG Global has approached multiple investment firms, including Steve Cohen’s Point72 Asset Management, about a range of deals to raise cash, said the people, who asked not to be identified describing private discussions. The firm has been working on plans to address concerns about the outsized loans Walter’s insurers have made to other parts of his investment empire, and those efforts have ramped up in recent days, said some of the people.”

Luka has 6 All-NBA First Team selections in his first 8 seasons — same as Michael Jordan and more than LeBron James (5).

Interestingly Luka had 5 first teams in a row since his second season, in 24-25 he didn’t make them due to injury and games played.

LeBron made second team all NBA twice instead of first in 2005 and 2007 causing him to miss out.

Jordan didn’t make first team in his rookie season like Luka and LeBron, he also missed out in his second season due to injury. He then had 6 seasons in a row as first team all NBA.

Thybulle can guard wings if necessary; he’s 6ft 5 with a 7ft wingspan. Kuminga is 6ft 7 with a 6ft 11 wingspan.

Thybulle has guarded and locked down Tatum, and while guarding wings isn’t his speciality he could certainly do it occasionally. Then there’s Ziaire, Mamu and the deep bench/rotation Kaluma and Thiero. Our PF depth isn’t bad. EDIT: completely forgot about Laravia lmao.

However getting Kuminga for Vando and Knecht would be beneficial as I don’t see them fitting on this roster much.

Kevon Looney Report Card 24-25 Season (Warriors)

I didn’t use Looney’s 2025–26 report card because he only played 21 games for the Pelicans that season. Looking at his health history instead, he’s generally been very durable, playing 76, 74, 82, 82, 61, 20, and 80 games in the seasons before that.

The 25-26 campaign appears to be more of an outlier than the start of a trend, similar to his injured 19-20 season. Overall, his track record suggests he’s been a reliable player in terms of availability.

Austin Reaves Report Card [BB-Index]. Our #2 option is elite.

Both him and Luka had F in optimisation last year, both weren’t used to their strengths on offence and defence. This year the roster is a complimentary fit for both of them so their optimisation will improve and their performance should improve too and they were both great last year.

Our #2 option is better than a lot of teams #1 option on offence. Finding someone who’s elite in shooting and playmaking like reaves is hard there’s only a few players in the game like that.

Matisse Thybulle prior to these two previous seasons averaged 66.6 games a season across 5 years. In 23-24 when he played 65 games he was #3 in steals a game in just 23 mins played per game.

Thybulle has been injured the past two years but was relatively healthy the past 5 seasons. Marcus smart prior to last year only played 54 games in 3 seasons he played 62 last year. In all advanced defensive stats this dude is still absolutely one of the best defenders in the league he is the cream of the crop. He just needs to stay healthy and I think the lakers staff and health team will help him with that.

Quentin Grimes Ranked #2 in best Defensive 3-Point percentage in the 25-26 regular season. (Min. 200 Total D3PA):

Quentin Grimes held opponents to 28.6% from three when guarded by him. He has always been a good perimeter defender. Luka is also 11th on the list.

If healthy this Lakers team will battle for first seed in the west. The fit is just too perfect.

If this Lakers team stays healthy with their key players luka, Kessler, reaves not missing massive time, this team will absolutely be in the battle for first seed. Especially if we add a decent 4. You can save this post and clown me if we don’t.

This team has all the the players and tools needed to succeed. Teams will not dare blitz and triple luka again. There’s too many threats in the team now. Snipers in grimes, sexton, reaves, mamu, Carr. Lob threats in Carr, Kessler, mamu, (kuminga?), thiero, Kaluma, ziaire.

Then you have elite rim protection in Kessler, very good POA defence in grimes, all defensive level defender in thybulle who can also shoot 3s at a decent rate now. Then another great defender with a okay shot in ziaire williams, also add kaluma and thiero for depth.

For shot blockers you have Kessler, Carr, Sandro, ziaire, kaluma, thiero.

Offensive rebounding / great screen setting in looney paired with Kessler elite offensive rebounding.

Playmaking off the bench in sexton and you have fucking reaves who can do most of everything that Luka can at a slightly lower level. This team is just really well balanced and maybe two more players to come instead of vando and knecht and team will be perfect.

Under the 2024 Bridge Agreement, Rip City (Blazers) is responsible for funding capital repairs and maintaining Moda Center in a “first-class” manner—it’s become a key point in negotiations.

The 2024 Bridge Agreement which is linked states:

“Rip City continues to have responsibility for operating Moda Center, funding and completing capital repair, maintenance, and improvement projects and maintaining the arena in a first-class manner. Rip City and the City have agreed on a 5-year plan for
specific sustaining capital projects for the arena to be implemented during the term of the bridge agreement.”

Blazers are asking for more then 600m+ in repairs and maintaince cost. If the Blazers move the city can use this to sue the blazers. Councillors have threatened this to the blazers when they were not coming to meetings to try to negotiate.

Under the 2024 Bridge Agreement, Rip City (Blazers) were required to maintain the building to a first class manner. Asking the city for 600m+ in funding for repairs shows a failure to do so. Which the city is using as leverage if blazers try to move.

I’ve linked the agreement and it states.

For People who defend Dundon because he won a chip with the Canes. This is not NHL, in NHL the best players are in the court for around 30% of the game. In the NBA the best players play the game 80-90% of the game. So you need to retain and attract Star Players.

I’m sick and tired of people conflating Dundon winning a chip whilst doing cheap shit in the NHL. He lucked into a coach who was a previous player of the team who stayed even with lowball salary offer due to loyalty. Also lucked into a GM who might leave soon. Then you need to know NHL is a completely different sport.

Star players or individual players don’t affect the game as much as they do in the NBA. Due to shift changes etc, in the nba you need to have a star player or a very good player to win a championship around top 10 in the league. The way you attract or keep those players is not by being cheap and creating a miserable environment for the players and fans.

Projected Denver Top 10 Player Lineup without Peyton and Spencer: Starters: Murray, Braun, Cam Johnson, Gordon, Jokic. Bench: Tyus Jones, Strawther, Alpha Diablo, Zeke Naji, Bagley.

ESPN has Denver ranked #4th best team in the league. Which I personally think is wild.

Most likely Watson and Spencer Jones won’t be signed due to Apron and luxury tax, they are currently over it.

What’s your prediction on where they will finish in the west?

The 60% Paycut proposed to Travis Demars isn’t even the biggest issue with the contract, him not being able to travel to road games, no benefits is crazy.

Normally, NBA radio broadcasters travel with the team on charter flights to road games, stay at the team hotel, and call games live from the arena.

Under the reported proposal, Demers would no longer travel with the team. Instead, he would be calling road games remotely rather than from courtside.

The reported offer also removed his employee benefits, including healthcare, dental coverage, retirement contributions, and potentially other benefits.

If Demers was earning around $150,000 an estimate for an experienced NBA radio pbp announcer a 60% pay cut would reduce his salary to roughly US$60,000. That’s before accounting for the reported loss of benefits, travel, and analyst support.
