Hey y’all,
Is anybody or has anybody gone back to school and received a Pell grant? If so does it affect your disability review or payments?

Back story :
*Liver transplant 8/12/25 (so it’ll be one year)
* was told I was approved for disability , but haven’t received payments yet
* I have a few other problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis as well, as anxiety and depression. ( up to date and going to doctors)
* wanting to take some Community college classes because it’ll all be paid for so technically I can use my Pell grant refund for other bills including school.
*will be taking online courses mostly but maybe one or two in person?

*my question is since they haven’t paid me for
my disability yet but I am a year out will it mess my case that I applied for 8/4/25.
*if I told them I’m able to do school online because I can do it at my pace will that be okay?

Let me know any experiences, advice , you guys may have.

*also those going to school, would you let you schoolsss as know you might have major doctor s you cannot do miss or might need more time for test taking?

My lawyer for SSI just told me that social security approved my disability. So I he doesn’t need to do anything, therefore he’s withdrawing from my case. I told him that they haven’t told me anything yet. He said they’re probably backed up and won’t for a while but I can give them a call at this number.

Before I call them I want to ask what I should prepare for on the call ? Will thwy ask what my expenses are? What are the best way to respond? I don’t want to say anything wrong or be confused how I word my answers. English is my second language also.

has anybody had any success for getting a life insurance policy? If so what kind of policy and how much do you pay? Does having life insurance policy effect if you receive disability?
Since I had a health/death scare.. If something were to happen to me, the last thing I’d want my family especially my daughter is to find funds to bury me.

I have some credit card debt right now. I do not have the money , right now because I am in the middle of a disability case. I also have about 2,000 in hospital bills. So I have no income coming in for a long time.

Can someone explain to me what disputing it entails? Or negotiating for less? What would work in my favor so I can try to manage it?

Does anyone know where I can take lessons?

I’ve always wanted to travel overseas to volunteer. I recently had a big health scare and I feel motivated to do this even more.

If I have some capital between 1,000-4000$ any good little business that will bring in money or how about a business that’s already established and I can buy? Maybe be a silent investor?
