Is the BTC bear market almost over?

Bitcoin’s current bear cycle has already lasted more than 300 days. Counting from the October 2025 all-time high, we’re now around 315 days in.

There’s an interesting stat going around: if we take roughly one year as the average length of a Bitcoin bear market, about 86% of this cycle could already be behind us.

And the timing actually looks pretty similar to previous cycles. Major Bitcoin bear markets lasted roughly 321, 385 and 381 days.

Of course, Bitcoin doesn’t have to follow the same timeline again, and this doesn’t mean the bottom is already in. But based purely on time, we’re much closer to the late stage of the bear market than the beginning.

Binance CEO Explains Why the Exchange Responds to Global Law Enforcement Requests

Binance CEO Richard Teng says the exchange cooperates with law enforcement agencies around the world when requests follow valid legal procedures.

This can include requests from countries where Binance does not operate commercially. Teng pointed to the US as an example, saying that responding to lawful requests is a standard responsibility for regulated financial companies and does not mean supporting a particular government or its policies.

A Better Short Entry Could Be Higher

World Network (WLD) is not a short for me at current levels. Price is already too low to chase it here, so I’d rather stay patient and wait for a local pump with stronger volume.

My original trading plan hasn’t changed. I’m watching the $0.40–$0.44 area as the main zone where I want to start building a new short position. Ideally, I want to see price push into this range, attract buyers and liquidity, and only then look for a good entry.

From there, my targets remain around $0.24–$0.23, with the expectation that WLD eventually breaks and updates its yearly lows.

For now, no reason to force a trade. I’m waiting for price to come into my zone.

BTC is entering a zone that historically appears near market bottoms.

The amount of BTC supply sitting in profit has dropped to multi-year extreme lows, often associated with capitulation. But that doesn’t mean the bottom is already in.

Coinbase Premium Index shows institutional selling has continued for around 90 days, while SOPR suggests we still haven’t seen real mass capitulation from both short- and long-term holders at the same time.

So yes, BTC may be getting closer to a bottom, but there could still be room for one more move lower before it’s fully formed.

Bitcoin Trades at a Coinbase Discount for 90 Days

Bitcoin has now traded at a negative Coinbase premium for 90 straight days, the longest streak in CoinGlass index history. It points to weak demand from US buyers. Right now, American investors seem much more interested in chasing AI stocks than BTC.

US Could Be Preparing a Larger Operation Against Iranian Oil Tankers

Trump spent much of Saturday posting images on social media showing the US maintaining what he called an “iron” blockade of Iran and portraying himself capturing Iranian oil tankers.

Today, the US reportedly conducted reconnaissance around an area in the Pacific where Iranian tankers are stationed.

Some experts believe this could be a sign that Washington is preparing for a much larger operation targeting Iranian oil tankers.

Israel’s Largest Bank Is Bringing Crypto Trading to Its App

Bank Leumi is partnering with Galaxy Digital to let customers buy, hold and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana directly through its banking platform.

The service is expected to launch in early 2027 through Leumi Trade, with BTC, ETH and SOL as the first supported assets.

Galaxy Digital will provide the infrastructure through GalaxyOne Institutional, while Galaxy’s custody platform, formerly known as GK8, will handle asset storage.

This would make Leumi the first Israeli bank to offer full crypto trading directly through its own investment platform.

And this is the part that matters: Leumi serves millions of retail and corporate clients. Crypto is slowly becoming just another asset inside traditional banking.

BTC Falls Below the 200-Week Moving Average

BTC is trading around $62.6K, while the 200WMA sits near $63.9K. The gap is only 2.1%, but Bitcoin has already spent four days below this level.

The 200WMA is one of Bitcoin’s slowest indicators, covering almost four years of price history. Over the past 12 years, BTC has traded below it on only around 8.5% of days.

Falling below the 200WMA is definitely a worrying signal. But historically, these zones have been more associated with capitulation and bottom formation than with a normal correction.

This could mean we’re right in the middle of the capitulation phase that ends the previous market cycle.

$TRUMP and $MELANIA are now down around 98% and 99% from their peaks. Meanwhile, Trump reported more than $1.4 billion in income from his family’s crypto ventures in 2025.

Nearly 1 million $TRUMP buyers are estimated to be sitting on combined losses of about $3.8 billion.

Critics in the US are calling it one of the most blatant examples of political conflicts of interest and corruption in modern American politics. (beincrypto.com)

The family made billions. Retail got the bags. Quite a success story.

Silver: Waiting for a Clear Move

Silver looks similar to gold right now. Price is building a support base, moved below the lower range, then came back into support. Now we could see the start of an upward move.

For me there are two possible setups:

  1. Wait for a correction below $55.
  2. Wait until this messy price action is over and silver holds above $71.

The macro view stays the same.

Right now stocks are stronger, while crypto, metals and bonds are moving slower. In autumn, I expect a correction in stocks and liquidity to start moving into crypto, metals and bonds.

SEC to Vote on New “Regulation Crypto” Framework Today

The SEC will hold an open meeting today at 10:00 AM ET to vote on publishing “Regulation Crypto,” a proposed regulatory framework for crypto asset offerings.

The vote comes as uncertainty around the CLARITY Act continues to grow. Some media reports suggest the SEC may be moving ahead with its own framework while the market structure bill remains stuck in Congress.

The Senate vote on the CLARITY Act is expected on September 15, after lawmakers return from summer recess.

Grayscale has also said it sees little chance of the CLARITY Act becoming law this year.

So we could soon have two very different paths for US crypto regulation: Congress through CLARITY, or the SEC moving forward with its own rules.

Delio CEO Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison in South Korea

A Seoul court sentenced Delio CEO Jeong Sang-ho to 15 years in prison in a major crypto fraud case.

The court confirmed losses of around 70 billion won, roughly $49.2 million, linked to misappropriation of customer funds and false documents.

Interestingly, Jeong was acquitted of the biggest charge involving around $175.6 million and 2,800 victims after some evidence was ruled illegally obtained.

Delio once marketed itself as a “digital asset bank” offering high yields on crypto deposits. Withdrawals were suddenly suspended in June 2023, and the company was declared bankrupt in November 2024.

Bitcoin Spot Trading Volume Hits Lowest Level Since 2019

Bitcoin has been stuck between $63K and $68.7K for almost three months, while spot trading volume has dropped to its lowest level since 2019.

Selling pressure is fading, but buyers are still missing. ETF inflows remain weak, coins continue moving to exchanges, and leveraged longs are piling up.

Several on-chain indicators are approaching levels seen near previous bear market bottoms.

If BTC loses $58.5K, low liquidity and crowded longs could trigger a wave of liquidations and push the price even lower.

CryptoQuant notes that the current BTC move is being driven mainly by the futures market. Open interest is rising, while spot demand remains negative. For a sustainable rally, demand needs to come from both spot and futures. Right now, that confirmation is still missing
