Anyone else is sick of looking at buildings like this rotting away in the hearth of Dublin City?

On April 24, 1952, a Nike missile successfully intercepted and completely destroyed in mid-air a remotely controlled QB-17 bomber high over White Sands.

I love old structures but it's time to get rid of these iron contraptions

https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/buildings-search/building/50010001/scherzer-bridges-custom-house-quay-dublin-1-dublin-city

So these "Rolling lift bridges" were installed in 1932-4

Today I admit they look rather intimidating and interesting but they are also creating proper bottleneck on Custom House Quay, where traffic is going from 2 lanes to 1 lane and then back to 2 lanes again...

Any chance to widen them, move them somewhere else? Was there any talk about this?

Were you one of the lucky few, enjoying 15min of full speed, loud wheelies from this chap?

If you missed him, come here at mayor square, he seems to be going again.

The show you can expect : back and forth wheelies on luas line and on the road at FULL SPEED.

‘We’re helpless to bureaucrats’: Wicklow locals living beside unfinished housing development for 10 years

I was passing through Ashford for the first time and immediately noticed these buildings, they are right in the centre of town and next to main street.

I had to have a look online what is going on and I was shocked these are empty for more than 10 years. We have to do better than this!!!

Graphic shows all entire homes listed on Airbnb in An Daingean (Dingle)

My graphic shows all entire homes listed on Airbnb in An Daingean (Dingle), which had a population of 1,671 in the 2022 Census, in County Kerry, Ireland. It’s no wonder seasonal workers in Dingle, including waiters, bar staff, chefs, and others, can’t find places to stay: short-term lets, including Airbnb landlords and holiday-home owners, are forcing native speakers out of Gaeltacht areas.
