Eclipse Safety

Hello fellow eclipse chasers.

We may have our locations decided by now either days before or even just this afternoon. Either way, make sure wherever you're going to that you have shade from the sun and water for the heat.

The conditions out there are intense right now so take care and don't put your health and safety at risk.

I'm looking forward to seeing the photos from you all tomorrow - assuming the haze stays away!

Peguera attractions

I'm heading to Mallorca tomorrow and my base will be in Peguera whilst I view the eclipse from a great local location on the 12th.

I have a day relaxing on the 13th and don't want to stray far from my hotel on this trip. I wonder if anyone can give me any suggestions on where are some good photo locations or places to explore around the area.

Priority & 2 Cabin Bags - Gate Checks?

Hi all,

I'm flying to Spain from Leeds Bradford Airport and because it's a longer flight I've paid for the two bags upgrade which comes with priority boarding (I couldn't buy them separately). Although I'm confident that the larger bag (see the photo) is fine for the bigger size, I'm concerned that my small bag may not fit perfectly in the sizer.

Can anyone answer the following:

- Are they strict with both bags fitting in the sizer? Are gate staff currently picky with anything that looks slightly over?

- My smaller bag will not be packed full and I can compress it slightly to have it fit - would this be something I can manually do at the sizer?

- As I'll be in the priority queue and my bags are visibly different sizes, would this reduce the likelihood of gate staff picking me out of the queue.

I can purchase a perfectly-sized bag for Ryanair's sizer thing, but I'd like to avoid buying anything more if possible.

Any help from recent or regular travellers would be welcome - thanks!
