People who calculate a month as four weeks in situations where accuracy matters
A month has 4.33 weeks, which is a pretty large discrepancy vs considering it has 4 weeks. That's about 4 weeks a year, half a day a week or two hours a day you just skimmed off the top.
Like, my wife will start a calculation of how much we spend on food per week and then multiply that by 4 to get how much we spend on food per month, and then by 12 to get to our annual food spending, and then wonder why there's a gap.
Or, at my job, we sell services and sometimes my colleagues show the client a schedule of fees.
- Week 1: $1,000.00
- Week 2: $1,000.00
- Week 3: $1,000.00
- Week 4: $1,000.00
- To be billed Month 1: $4,000.00
- Week 5: $1,000.00
- Week 6: $1,000.00
- Week 7: $1,000.00
- Week 8: $1,000.00
- To be billed Month 2
And so on and so forth over a quarter. And that's in a contract!
