So lets start with how most ai-rp sites came to be.

Basically it was because of cai being censored and venuschat shutting down and giving out its code.A lot of sites you know now are actually copies of a dead site named VenusChat(rip 2022-2022.A lot of you may remember how Chub used to be called VenusChub because it was a direct copy of that site.And even now it has stick for the most part to the old ui.(Also BigJ was a copy of Venus but they changed most of their Ui early on and had rebranded relatively as quickly as they could)

A big part of VenusChat was how completely uncensored it was and its massive ever-growing library of characters due to users uploading their character bots there.There you could import and export your chats and any bot freely.Something that Chub promised they'll continue to do and for a short time other ai-rp sites did the same.

Until they realized that they can capitalize their sites by 1)giving free chatting with a limit to promote their subscriptions 2)gatekeeping their bots and chats to force their users to keep using their sites if they wanted to keep their chats or bots.

A lot of people know many sites that went to hell due to overdoing it with subscriptions and eventually censorship hitting those sites due to sponsors.Some more than others.With many of those sites shutting down eventually from their users leaving their site or other reasons like not having the budget to keep going.

Since I mentioned VenusChat let me introduce you all to VenusAi.VenusAi was a site created almost a year(2023)after the initial shut down of VenusChat by the same owner.The site was almost from the start(became really quickly) censored and filled with ads.Until it died abruptly once again out of nowhere and without notice.The owner selling the site for about​ 120 dollars on a auction.

This is one of the many examples of ai-rp sites going to hell due to bad management,censorship or aggressive advertisement for subscriptions(for example lobotomizing their free tier just to promote their paid tiers)

The history lesson has mainly ended here is the reality check part.

Chub is the only site that relatively kept true to what it promised from the start.

Uncensored (geofencing and banning one theme doesnt count cause Lore could have faced legal consequences.Also geofencing is a easy workaround by using a vpn),with no ads other than their subscriptions which was put on the first place just to maintain the site and with the option to save any bots and your chats so you can leave or come whenever you want.

Name me one site that does all this still.

So....realistically speaking.Where is everyone supposed to go? Since most ai-sites now face almost all the same problems.

Their free tiers being extremely limited or lobotomized,ad heavy,censored heavy etc.

ST is a option but 1)You cant search bots from there you have to search from third parties(discord servers sharing character cards,sites that have characters -hoping its the site is not censored-etc) 2)ST doesnt provide any models you have to find yourself one. Like,ST is like chub right now but you have to put much more effort on it. Which most users have openly admitted that they are not willing,dont know or are lazy to put the effort to use.

Like how can a lot of users not know how to use a api when this knowledge was essential for the ai-rp community?

One more thing is that sadly there is not many free api models.Wanna use it or not. Ai companies and providers dont like the ai-rp community since they overuse the free models and overwhelm the servers.This has resulted in many models that were free for a long time to become paid last year.This is why you'll wont find many tutorials on free apis nowdays compared to a few years ago because most people nowdays gatekeep their free model apis in order to keep the ai-rp from abusing the free models so much that they become paid

Ai companies in general simply dont like ai-rp.They intentionally have banned ai-rp sites many times and even lobotomized their models in order to not be usable for ai-rp.They have also censored a lot of models even the paid ones.

In general what i am trying to say is that ai-rp as a hobby is not for the weak.Your favorite sites are all in danger to be shut down on any time depending on the government's mood(especially nowdays since governments have become increasingly puritan),you can never know when your free model will stop being free or become censored etc.

Realistically speaking in general there is nowhere you can turn to for ai-rp chatting that is better than Chub is. Mainly uncensored and as user friendly as Chub.

BigJ is way too unfriendly for users and put many inconveniences.Its ai model even tho its free it gets lobotomized so often that it becomes unusable for longterm rp.Its subscription plan is already ruining their free model and it will keep ruining it.

The popular Pan ai-rp site,same case with BigJ its only saving grace is that you can download some bots depending if the creators keep their bots open(60% of creators dont do that)

ST as i mentioned is complicated for most people and slightly inconvenient even for people that do use it cause you have to find character bots elsewhere and find your own models

Yes the new free limit sucks.Yes the Crypto thing is awful.But it was something that it would happen.There might come a day that we will be able to use some sort of payment other than Crypto.But until this day comes sadly this was the only choice for Chub in order to keep the site at least running since hosting so many bots and chats takes a lot of resources.

Like sorry for the long post but I have seen so many people that came here from sites like BigJ with free tier stuff that they forgot that the free model on Chub was a privilege that was able to happen only because of the extra cash from subscriptions.

Other sites have free tier because they are willing to sell their souls to sponsors.Chub is uncensored and user friendly as it is because its unwilling to sell its soul to sponsors.

Most users say that they came here for the uncensored aspect of the site.If you do you should be respectful and supportive of Chub not throwing tantrums.

its going through a rough patch. Every ai-rp site had gone through that.

Even if this is or when is the end we at least know that the site wont be abruptly shut down like many other sites have been and that we will be given a timely notice and be able to save our bots and chats without any issue.

Is better to keep positive for the stuff we do have instead of complaining and doompost about stuff that Chub cant control.

By all means if you dont feel comfortable on the site anymore go but at least do it without spreading unnecessary hate towards Chub who was always almost non-profit(most of any profits they got were used for the free models or to find payment processors,so barely any profit went to Lore or Chub mods)

Edit:One thing I want to mention is that the community has begged Chub at the past to not put subscriptions thinking it was gonna get censored.We didnt even wanted the Chub models as long we got to keep the site anti-censorship.We had begged Chub to open donations.Something that Chub actually did at one point but it was quickly discovered that most sites that have donations dont like ai-rp sites and would take down any attempts on making a page for donations(for example Chub had a Kofi page at the past for a short while until it was taken down by Kofi)

So I have a copy of a anime series that doesnt air in tv anymore (not only in my country but as far as I am aware in the whole world) yet despite the series not being aired anymore the studio that made the anime has started copyright striking any uploads of the episodes.

The anime was previously fully uploaded on youtube for more than a decade but around 2022 the studio copyright striked the videos.

I wanted to ask if there is a possible way to submit the copy of the series i have to be uploaded in any piracy site since I dont want the series to be gone in obscurity

(I know piracy sites arent permanent and such and I have taken measures to archive the series but its just more convenient for anyone who wants to watch the series to be able to find it on piracy sites instead of downloading a 50+GB file)

The site being down is something normal it has happened before.

About the geofencing thing,every ai rp site gets that or will get it because of the government being stupid. Thats a easy fix with a vpn so I dont understand why y'all whine about that and say the site is dead.

Yes you must be prepared for every ai rp site to be taken down.That means archiving your bots,chats etc But so far considering everything that happened Chub still stands and shows no signs of going anywhere.

So calm down a bit and take a chill pill. The site will be back up and running again In a bit (currently as i am writting this the site is already up just a bit slow)

If you have a problem with tags not showing results just use a vpn and log in through a country without the geofencing and everything should show up normally

Okay I know that i might be just reaching here.

But I am the only one who is wayy too sus of the fact that Shen Yuan and Shen Qingqiu share a last name?

Say that its maybe for the readers shake since Shen Yuan is mostly referred to as Shen Qingqiu throughout the novel.....

But I really dont bite it for some reason.

Like no lets put the facts down for a second.

We have Luo Bingzhu.A god confirmed to be able to make universes after splitting himself into the systems,meanwhile those systems are confirmed to make contracts with people to use their bodies in exchange of a better life/be sent into a better world.

And then we have Shen Jiu one of the people who agreed to that contract with the system and willingly gave up his body in exchange for a better life.

Then we have Shen Yuan a man who was brought into the svsss universe as Shen Qingqiu way too suddenly and not even reincarnating properly like Shang Qinghua did who migrated as a baby and lived his whole life as Shang Qinghua.

On top of that we have the system later saying that it did that to preserve power. Saying that making Shen Yuan reincarnate as a baby would be ideal but it would need to recreate a new universe which it prefered to not do to save on power.

Am I the only one who is extremely suspicious when I see the facts like this?

Cause like we know from the novel that the system is not the kindest of beings. It may act like a virtual assistant and try to act cute. But we know that it has a will of its own with how much it was pushing Shen Yuan towards certain directions. Since the systems is essentially fragments of Luo Bingzhus soul it probably inherited his will,personality and (some) of his emotions(Please tell me I am not the only one who gets reminded of Bingmeis manipulative side whenever we see the system do anything really)

What i am trying to say is that when you put the coincidences all together it doesnt feel like a coincidence at all.

Shen Qingqiu and Shen Yuan sharing a name,Shen Qingqiu's contract,Shen Yuans migration into a adult body,us not knowing what the heck happened to Shen Jiu at all after he got transmigrated to a new world as well etc Once and twice its a coincidence,thrice its a pattern.

And I think that the system straight up was a asshole and pulled a trick on Shen Jiu with their contract.

This is a popular theory already but I truly believe that the system took Shen Jiu, made him reincarnate into the modern world where he had the happier life he wanted as per their contract(rich and comfy,loving family etc) and then went around and snatched him from that life and got him back into his og life.

Like. Listen the system said it needed to preserve power. Transmigrating a complete stranger feels like it would take more power than the system would wanna spend.

So upon seeing how much better Shen Jiu had become as Shen Yuan decided to bend the contract a bit and send him back into his old body.

But it would break the contract wouldnt it? Nope it would not cause the system as we have established is a little shit. So it made sure to get Shen Jiu(SY)back to his og body when he was already Shen Qingqiu so he wouldnt have to live through what happened at his past (that or gave him straight up amnesia so he wouldnt be scarred from his past as Shen Jiu and prevent him from fixing the plot. Like Shen Yuan shouldn't have "unlocked" those past memories of Shen Jiu if he wasnt actually Shen Jiu in my opinion.)

By doing that. 1)The system saves power on finding new people to bring in the universes it creates 2) It technically still complies with the contract with Shen Jiu.What Shen Jiu doesnt remember/know wont hurt him.

I feel like a mad man when I think that Shen Jiu might be Shen Yuan this whole time.For many reasons.

"But what about QiJiu? or LiuJiu? wont they get ruined if that theory its true?" Not really in my opinion since both of these ships are doomed by the narrative. It just makes them slightly more tragic than how much it already is.Its even more tragic if you think that (probably) the system cut Shen Jius red thread(this thing can create and destroy universes i highly doubt it cant cut a red thread)so it can (potentially) get tied to Luo Binghe as Shen Jiu fixes the plot.

I am gonna end up in a asylum the longer I think about this theory cause the longer I think about it the longer I am starting to get convinced and even more crazy.

Like wdym that potentially Shen Jiu had a life that he (at least) was happy with.Only for the system to send him back and forcing him to fix the consequences of the actions he doesn't even remember doing,meanwhile absolutely hating on his own self from what he read on the novel about himself. Like this shit would go so deep and so hard if its real and I am eating it all up like a starved man.

Can I also mention the absolute panic Shen Jiu(Shen Yuan) felt when he saw the dreams of Liu Qingges and Yue Qingyuans og deaths? 🙃 The way he acted i can only take it as Shen Jius past trauma from the pidw timeline kicking in

I am trying to make my first stage and I noticed that the objects is way too big compared to the character.For example a door will be twice the size of the character when placed. Its just annoying having to resize every single thing to be on a normal size.

Is there any way to fix this?

I am probably stupid + forgetful cause I don't remember it when I first read the books.But now some time later I was doing some research about something and I randomly found that his eyes are black and that there is only so few instances of his eyes being green/different colors (like grey or cyan mainly on covers,merch etc) 😭 i always thought they were green! I am really new in terms of making stuff in Miliastra Wonderland but recently I got the idea of recreating places from a book I am reading and making a (semi)open world game of sorts.

I was thinking I could add some objectives/activities but the main thing is basically people going into the game and just having fun exploring the area and hanging out (the fandom of the book is extremely creative and they are into rp stuff so I have 0 doubt that a stage like this will be used mainly for rp by people of that fandom)

Idk if it will be even possible since it sounds like a extremely ambitious project.

So I wanted to ask people with more experience if you guys think it will be possible. I am worried mostly for the load (serenity teapot main here. You always have to be wary of the load if you wanna complete your build 🙃) if I am gonna be able to make the areas without a problem on that

I have probably annoyed people here with how many times I mentioned that Genshin has made a ugc mode called Miliastra.(i have make two posts already showing off bootled Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu in Miliastra 😭)

But here is the thing there is a good reason for it! 1)They have got us outfits that remind me of Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe and 2) You can make your own games and I potential can make my own Qing Jing peak there(and if it goes well the other peaks as well)

So I just wanted to ask the people that do play genshin (or even if you dont i am up for recommendations) what you would like to see in a Qing Jing peak(/Cang Qiong if I get to it) fan made map? Certain places you would want either canon or not,activities, etc?

The new animation showing Human Durin transforming into a "pyro replica" of D.Durin sparked a bit of discussion on a discord server i am in.

One person there liked how the animation is like acknowledging D.Durins existence in Human Durin (something i agree with for many reasons even regarding how lore already suggests that D.Durin is not gone just fused with Mini Durin to create Human Durin)

While other people started arguing that he isnt and that hes gone.

This is something I have noticed in the fandom that some people are very "passionate" that D.Durin is gone and that Human Durin is just Mini Durin in human form.I find it kind off odd especially when even Durin fans say this.

So I wanted to ask people who believe that D.Durin is completely gone even from Human Durin,why you believe that?

What the title says.Basically someone shared with me recently a website where I can find bots.

I searched for a specific genre and little did I knew that the first result to come up would be a private bot I had in chub.Archived almost 2 years ago probably almost the moment i made it!

Let me make this clear i never had set that bot in public it was always set as private.I searched my own username on that site and then I even found all my private bots archived in there!

I should be mad but honestly? If I knew that my bots were safely archived there i wouldnt have spend so much time downloading my bots when I started deleting them from chub 😭 ✌️

Anyway i am not gonna be sharing the name of the site here.Its easy to find with some digging anyway.

This just goes to show just to not put any private information even in your private bots people if you use sites like chub or jai!

Just basically wanted to share this experience so you can all be carefull!

EDIT: For anyone saying "oh op should have shared the site" No i shouldn't.

1)you should never put sensitive info on private bots whether they can be stolen or not

2)I just warn people that are too comfortable with chub or jai for private bots to basically not be.Cause something that might seem like a irrational fear its actually real

3)The site is extremely good for archiving since it seems like its anti-censorship.I am not gonna be sending anyone who has issue with the site scraping their private bots that way.I am just warning you on something you should already had considered while hosting your private bots on sites like chub.
