Buying in bulk vs replenishing?

I am a party planner who met up with a couple of other event managers who told me that they felt it was actually cheaper to buy supplies in bulk for one-time large events rather than purchasing ongoing supply needs all the time. They insisted I crunch the numbers and figure in shipping costs and I will find that it actually comes out cheaper to just purchase supplies in large amounts instead of replenishing. I was wondering if anyone actually worked this out and what their experience was when it comes to this.

I know that there are some sites like amazon business, walmart, and alibaba where you can actually order quite a large amount at one time. In fact it becomes cheaper the more you order and sometimes they even have a minimum order quantity in order to be able to order. Any thoughts on this? I mean considering the rising costs of customs, shipping, and tariff's , a one time large order might be worth it. I am mostly thinking for disposables like cutlery, plates, napkins etc.

gift ideas for give aways for a garden party?

I need to put together a small batch of promotional and business gifts to old colleagues who I have invited to a garden party. I’d would rather give something genuinely useful than another branded item that ends up in a drawer. What have you received at work that you actually kept and used? I’m considering quality notebooks, insulated travel mugs, portable chargers, desk organizers, tote bags, reusable water bottles, cable pouches, umbrellas or compact lunch containers. The aim is practical, professional and not overly flashy, with subtle branding if any. I have been browsing amazon, and alibaba for ideas and bulk pricing, although I would check samples and quality carefully before ordering. Are there items you would recommend, or things you would definitely avoid? Budget is modest, so usefulness matters more than novelty.

Are edible gifts better or items that guests can use? which ones are better?

Do people like give awayst hey can eat or ones that they can actually use? I have always wondered this and wanted to know which ones would be most preferred by people who are receiving them. Personally I like things that I can use rather than things I can eat. But I am planning a garden party and I need to gift promotional and business gifts to old colleagues and business partners.

I was wondering what should I get that would be more beneficial for my guests and I am a bit unsure as I have never done this before. I was thinking for edible options I could do branded cookies, candy or small snack packs that are easy and could have my logo on them, but if its something that they just throw away then its not really worth it, then is it?

Gift ideas for giveaways, want to put my name on it without it coming across as tacky and cheesy?

I need to purchase some promotional and business gifts for older colleagues and business partners. I am throwing a garden party and I just want something small and thoughtful that can serve as a give away to guests when they leave. I don't want it to be ostentatious or something that would make it look like I spent a lot of money.

Just something simple that is classy and maybe have some sort of branding on it but not in a cheap way. So I guess my question is what is a clever way of putting my name and logo on something that doesn't look cheap and tacky? I know a lot of you do this for a living like me, but right now I am just in deep brain fog with client tasks and trying to pack to go on vacation so I need some ideas. Also I was thinking getting unique ideas from other people might actually educate me how people do it better than me? I also was thinking that I don't want to buy wholesale like from amazon or alibaba, but would be wiling to pay the extra buck to buy from a small business as a token of appreciation. I could also keep their name and logo on the gift as as a sign of support.

Mid-range badminton racquets that are less expensive than Yonex?

I have heard that Yonex is a good brand for mid-range badminton racquets but wanted to get some insight into what other brands might be just as good but cheaper. I actually do not want to spend an arm and a leg because I am just purchasing badminton accessories for a garden party I am throwing. I also want to just order from amazon, aliexpress or alibaba because they are just easier to order from and in fact a lot of the chinese sites even Temu have good deals on badminton stuff. Any recc's of name that would cost less than Yonex? I know Head and Wilson also make racquets but like I said I dont want to spend a lot fo money.

How hard is it to set up a net yourself and a chalk out a badminton court?

I am going to throw a garden party for my small team and some professional contacts. I have a nice big backyard lawn and was thinking of some lawn games and thought about badminton and how its so easy to set up, i just need to get a net, raquets, birdies, accessories and chalk out a court. Easy right? But then I realized if I am purchasing all this stuff online and actually trying to find a decent raquet price from a site like amazon or alibaba does take time, I just want to make sure that people will actually play with the stuff.

I am also concerned about the quality of the stuff I buy and how easy it will be to set up the net, because I will be doing it myself. Do i need to have sticks to set up the net, and how hard will it to do that, and do the kits you buy online have everything in it that I need to purchase?

length of pool tables, what is most standard for an indoor area?

I am looking to rent a pool table and I am little confused on average size of a regular pool table. I have been looking online and coming across a couple of different sizes, so now I am thinking if there are different sizes of tables maybe for indoor rec room's or something. I saw a bunch of listings on pooltables.com, billiards direct, alibaba and other websites and I have seen 7 foot, 8 foot, and 9 foot tables and so I want to get it right in regards to the length of the table.

Sometimes the sellers list the dimensions and sometimes they don't, but I am thinking if I know what the right size is then I would just be able to shortlist tables based on what size they have available for rent.

Reliable classy pool table brands?

I am coordinating a pool table themed corporate birthday party and I was wondering what brand of pool tables should I be looking for to make sure that whatever I am renting will come across looking sleek and not scrappy. I want to make sure the pool tables look really professional and not really cheap, even if its a one-day event, its a corporate event and they are willing to spend money so I want to make sure everything is top of the line.

Also any recc's on the cue sticks and what I should be looking for when I am renting. I am not a pool table player, so honestly don't know the first thing about this stuff. Also should I go for the set of balls that we use in the US or what people play in the UK play, I think its called snooker? The place I am renting from is offering both sets of balls, just not sure what to use. I know a lot of pool table companies source wholesale from third party sellers on alibaba and amazon, so I just want ot make sure whatever I am renting doesn't look like a novice who knows nothing about pool.

Cases for Android Tablets that are rugged and durable?

I want to purchase a case to protect my tablet and electronic organizer and was wondering if Otter is still the best case to buy for a tablet because it is probably the only case that will protect the device when it falls? Are there any other brands that anyone can recommend?

These things get dropped, tossed into bags, carried around warehouses/events, and constantly handled by different staff, so I care way more about durability than appearance or anything else for that matter. If I am going to buy like 5 of them I want to make sure that they will last a long time. I have seen a few budget friendly tablets on sites like alibaba and amazon but I can buy the case from an actual retail store so that I can actually look at it upclose. I there is a defender series in Otter that a lot of people like, apparently its pretty rugged.

commercial use android tablets, do they fare better in the long run?

I have been comparing Apple and Android tablet systems and wanted to get some instrospection from others in regards to long term commercial use and what would fare better for a small business. I have an event mgt company and I have a lot of employees who need electronic organizers that they can use to manage events and schedules etc.

I was wondering if in the long run Android would just be better because its easier to customize and streamline information while Apple you need to purchase an application for every single small thing. I have an android phone and I was thinking I would be able to send information and send documents to my team's tablets a lot easier than if I purchase Apple. What do you guys think, commonly what do commerical enterprises use when it comes to no fuss and not being bothered by having to purchase simple applications all the time. I have seen a lot of other android electronic organizers besides Samsung being sold on sites like alibaba and amazon so there is a lot of opportunity to shop around and compare features etc.

Durable and possibly waterproof tablets or electronic organizers?

I run a small event management comapny and I am looking for tablets or electronic organizers that are durable and possibly waterproof. We have a lot of incidents where tablets get exposed to moisture or get water dropped on them and I wanted something that would be extra durable for team members who maybe aren't so careful when they are using the tablets at events.

Are there special case that might be waterproof or should I be looking at the device itself that should be moisture resistant? Also in the case of purchasing, I thoguht if I got a bunch of tablets at wholesale prices from a stie like amazon or alibaba then even if something happens then it won't be a total loss if something happens to them?

I am an event organizer and I am looking for electronic organizers that are pretty sturdy and durable to purchase for my team. I want something that is waterproof electronic organizers and rugged because I have a lot of outdoor events my gear gets absolutely tossed around by staff members all day. In the chaos of getting everythign done sometimes these get thrown around so I will need tablet covers and cases that are durable so that nothing breaks.

I also dont want something really expensive because I am not really ready to fork out a lot of money. I was thinking of looking for something that would just serve our purpose and some chinese android like tablets on sites like amazon and alibaba. I was wondering if anyone has bought something like this for their events and how did they work out for them? I know there is no warranty so I would need to figure out what to do if something is not working.
