UDR Recommendations
I’m trading an FMS FCX10 LC80 for a UDR today. The pictures of it actually look like it’s in decent condition.
I’m not afraid of wrenching on my rig, so even if there’s a few parts that need replacing I’m ok doing that. For the most part it looks fairly stock. It’s seen some light bashing, but nothing I haven’t done myself with my other rigs.
My question is, what are some good recommended upgrades? This is my first UDR, but not my first solid rear axle rig. I don’t think I want to go full Vitavon aluminum, I’ve seen how poorly that works.
Anyway, any tips or advice would be great. Thank you!
Followup on eBay Jack Wang
Earlier I posted regarding some jack wang trying to sell my items on eBay. There were actually two people. The first was reported and was removed immediately. The second was reported about four or five different times and was finally removed only for the ass hat to relist it again about 20 minutes later. I have submitted multiple requests to eBay to have the item removed for IP infringement violations, but eBay's ignorant AI refuses to read or review pictures or anything else that is remotely useful.
Since eBay is incompetent, I have decided to list the item myself here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/800087429484. It is not relief for sale, so anyone who attempts to purchase it will get it kicked back. I have put some wonderful information in the comments of the item stating to not buy from Overflow Outlet and to get the item free off MakerWorld.
Who knows, maybe I'll just sell them anyway cheeper just to screw this guy over.
How to report someone on eBay?
Someone is selling my designs on eBay. https://ebay.us/m/RxuJn7
This is my model: https://makerworld.com/models/1763506
I have reported them three times so far and eBay refuses to take it down even though I have posted the maker world exclusive copyright information.
Would MakerWorld do anything about it? Is there even a way to report it through MakerWorld?
WARNING!!!!
Some jack wang is selling my stands on eBay! DO NOT BUY THEM!!! They are free on MakerWorld! https://makerworld.com/models/1763506. I haven’t given anyone rights to sell!
If you did buy one, please demand a refund!
Mojave Grom Kits now!
Interesting they are making it a kit now! Wish this was a thing when I bought mine. I love assembling RC cars kits!
Looking for alternatives
Recently I’ve been eyeballing the Axial Ryft. It looks like a great time bashing over the rocks but I’ve heard a lot of negatives about it. It’s not durable, it has horrendous torque twist, etc.
I really like the idea of the Ryft, but want something more durable that I can bash over rocks like a true rock racer / rock bouncer. If I’m wrong about the Ryft, LMK.
I guess I should add that I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for this. The Ryft is already kind of more expensive than I want. I have struggled to find a used one near me, just keeping my options open.
Anyone have suggestions? I’m open to some light modding if needed in a different rig. TYVMIA!
What is this wire for?
I recently purchased the Traxxas 8095 TRX4 Defender light kit (https://a.co/d/0h7CpDVI) and the Traxxas 6591 advanced light control kit. The 8095 came with a roof mounted light bar which I have installed. It comes with two wires. A black and blue wire set that plugs into the distribution block and a very short, single blue one with two male pins as seen in the picture. Where does the short one go? Everything I am seeing says it is for the dimming feature but how do you plug it in? It’s way too short to fit in the distribution block. I don’t see any wire extenders with the kit. I am at a loss for what to do with this. I would love to be able to brighten and dim the light bar. Thank you!
