MMC, emotionally distant and cold, falls deeply in love with FMC.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME FIND SOMETHING LIKE THIS!! 😭

Okay, I'm dying to read a book where the MMC is emotionally detached, cold, and completely uninterested in relationships. I'm not talking about the typical intimidating, ruthless MMC who can kill someone without feeling anything. That's not what I'm looking for.

I want an MMC who genuinely doesn't care about romance, sex, or even casual conversations. He just wants to live his life in peace. Maybe he's completely focused on his work, his goals, or something else, and he's never considered romance important enough to pursue.

Of course, everything changes when he meets the FMC. 🤭

I don't want insta-love where he sees her once and suddenly falls head over heels. Not at all! I want to watch him slowly experience emotions he always dismissed as pointless, ridiculous, or unnecessary. Seeing those feelings gradually bloom because of the FMC sounds so satisfying to me. Just imagining a story like that already has me excited!

I'll gladly take any recommendations with this kind of dynamic, or even something similar.

One book that gave me a somewhat similar feeling was Pestilence by Laura Thalassa. Since the MMC is one of the Horsemen, he has never experienced romantic or sexual feelings and sees no purpose in them... until he spends time with the FMC. And once he finally experiences those feelings... let's just say he becomes completely obsessed. 😂

Thank you in advance!

YA romances with an average-looking FMC

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for YA romances where the FMC is considered average-looking or even unattractive by the standards of her world.

I love romance, but sometimes it feels like every FMC is described as incredibly beautiful, with striking features, flawless skin, and a body that turns heads everywhere she goes. I'd love to read something different for a change.

I'm looking for books where the FMC doesn't have particularly remarkable looks and isn't the kind of girl everyone immediately notices. Ideally, the MMC isn't instantly attracted to her and initially sees her as just an ordinary girl. The attraction and romance would develop gradually as he gets to know her personality, strengths, and character.

I'm especially interested in slow-burn romances where the MMC falls for who she is rather than being captivated by her appearance from the very beginning.

Any YA recommendations with this kind of dynamic would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Looking for MFM/MMFM romances where one woman having multiple partners is accepted by the heroes' culture

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for MFM or MMFM romances where there's a group of male protagonists and the female protagonist joins them as the story progresses.

It would be even better if, within the MMCs' culture or society, it is considered normal for a woman to have more than one partner. I also enjoy stories where a group of men falls in love with the same woman and agrees to share her, even if some of them initially struggle with the idea.

One thing I'd especially love to see is the FMC developing an individual relationship with each MMC before they eventually form a group relationship.

I would also like the FMC to be the center of the relationship. For me, the relationship exists because of her, so I'm not looking for stories where the MMCs have a romantic relationship with each other independent of the FMC.

While I'm specifically looking for MFM/MMFM romances, a good plot and believable relationship development are very important to me as well.

Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

FMC is a commoner who resents the rich + MMC is a nobleman.

Hello everyone! I'm looking for historical romances where the female main character (FMC) is a commoner or someone of humble origins who genuinely resents the wealth and privileges of the nobility. You know that feeling of: "While I'm struggling to survive, they keep getting richer and living in luxury"? Ideally, the male main character (MMC) would be a nobleman, aristocrat, or someone very privileged who has no idea how hard life is for ordinary people. I love the conflict and tension that arise when the protagonists come from such different worlds. I would also like the class difference to be a real obstacle to the relationship. For example, he belongs to the nobility and she is a commoner, so society, family, or the conventions of the time make their romance inappropriate or even impossible. I don't need the FMC to specifically hate the MMC, but I would like her to have strong opinions about social inequality and the privileges of the upper class. I welcome any recommendations with a similar dynamic. Thank you!

Where are the human protagonists in supernatural romance novels?

I swear, I was looking for a paranormal romance book because I'm completely obsessed with this genre, and OMG, it was so hard to find a human FMC! 😭

All I could find were older books or stories I had already read. Nowadays, the FMC is always a mermaid, a hybrid, a fae, a vampire... NOOOO! 🥲

As the saying goes, sometimes the classic "bread and butter" works best! For me, paranormal romance is only truly enjoyable when the FMC is human. It's so much more interesting to see the cultural differences, with her trying to understand a world that's completely different from her own while the MMC isn't human. I also love the dynamic where she's physically weaker but still doing her best to survive and find her place in that world.

It's even better when she's suddenly thrown into this supernatural world with absolutely no idea what's going on. I just love that kind of story.

Unfortunately, it feels like these types of romances are disappearing, because nowadays I only see FMCs who are some kind of supernatural creature. Human FMCs seem to be getting rarer and rarer. 😭

What a tragedy...

Novels where the LMC is an elf?

• Um protagonista masculino elfo;

• Uma protagonista feminina humana (sim, humana, por favor! 😭);

• Romance.

What are your favorite secondary couples from books?

What are the best fantasy romance books you've ever read, or books from any genre, that featured amazing secondary couples besides the main couple?

I'm looking for stories where the secondary couple was so compelling that they sometimes stole the spotlight from the main couple, or at least left just as strong an impression.

Which books had the most memorable side romances you've ever read?

A monster romance with a humanoid wolf?

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well.

I'm looking for books where the MMC (male main character) is a humanoid wolf monster. 👀 I've been really enjoying monster romances lately, and I'm not sure if this falls entirely under fantasy, but I thought I'd ask anyway!

I'm specifically looking for stories where the MMC isn't just a shapeshifter who turns into a wolf, but an actual humanoid wolf creature, something closer to a werewolf-like monster. I'm also open to other types of monsters as long as they're humanoid.

If anyone knows any books with this kind of character, please let me know! 😭

Books where the protagonist has a strong bond with a magical animal (dragon, Pegasus, griffin, etc.)

Hi everyone!

To sum it all up: I read Fourth Wing and became completely, utterly obsessed with Violet's relationship with her two dragons, especially Tairn. The companionship, loyalty, protection, and bond between them were absolutely incredible to me. I loved the idea of an ordinary girl being able to face anything with a dragon at her side who would protect her from everything and everyone.

Honestly, the only thing that disappointed me a little was the romance between Violet and Xaden. It happened way too quickly for my taste. Seriously, girl, you have dragons! Who cares about men? 🙄😂

But back to the main point: ever since then, I've been searching for books with a similar dynamic. I'm looking for stories with a female protagonist who shares a strong bond with a magical creature. It can be anything: dragons, pegasi, griffins, unicorns, magical wolves, phoenixes, or any other fantastical creature.

What I'm really looking for is a story where that bond is a central part of the narrative. I don't want the magical companion to be a minor detail or a side character that occasionally shows up. I want the relationship between the protagonist and the creature to be well developed, important to the plot, and consistently present throughout the story.

Basically, I want the female protagonist and her magical companion to feel like the true heart of the book. The bond between them is exactly what I'm searching for.

It would also be great if there were little to no romance, or if the romance developed slowly, but I'm open to any recommendations that fit this dynamic.

I've been having a really hard time finding books like this, so I'd be incredibly grateful for any suggestions! 😭📚✨

Books where the protagonist has a strong bond with a magical animal (dragon, Pegasus, logo)

books where the female character has a bond with a magical animal (dragons, pegasus, wolves)

Hello everyone!

I REALLY need to read another book with this kind of dynamic, so please help me out! 😅

To sum it up, after reading Fourth Wing, I became completely fascinated by Violet's relationship with her dragons. Seriously, I loved everything about it. The loyalty, the affection, the bond between them, and even Tairn's overprotectiveness were absolutely perfect to me.

I don't usually say this, but I think the only thing that slightly "ruined" the experience for me was how quickly Violet and Xaden got together. 😂 Like, girl, you have dragons! Men can wait!

Anyway, back to the main topic. Ever since then, I've been searching for similar books. They don't necessarily have to involve dragons. What I'm really looking for is a story where the female protagonist has a strong bond with a magical or mystical creature.

It could be a dragon, a unicorn, a pegasus, a magical wolf, or any other fantasy creature. The most important thing is that they share a deep connection filled with loyalty, protection, and companionship. I love it when the creature is always by the heroine's side, protects her when needed, and develops an almost unbreakable bond with her.

Does anyone know any books with this kind of dynamic?

The female common-law mother (fmc) overcomes her unrequited feelings for the male common-law mother (mmc) + the mmc begins to notice her.

In your opinion, how many continents are there?

Hello everyone!

Long story short, I'm Brazilian and I have a friend who lives in the United States. We were talking about something interesting. I basically said that everyone born on the American continent is American, but that the United States kind of "claimed" that term for itself. He agreed.

Moving on, he told me that, for them, there are seven continents, and I was like, "What?" 🤯🤯

My first thought was, "That's wrong! We have six over here." But after doing some research, I realized that in the United States they count North America and South America as separate continents, which brings the total to seven. In Brazil, however, America is traditionally considered a single continent.

Anyway, thanks to that research, I discovered that there are places in the world where people consider there to be only five continents. I found that so interesting that I wanted to share it with you all!

novels where the female character is an outcast and is despised

I'm looking for a fantasy book where the FMC is an outcast or someone considered inferior by the people around her. Here are a few examples of the kind of scenarios I'm interested in:

Example 1: Everyone has magical abilities except her.

Example 2: She has powers, but they're considered weak or inferior compared to everyone else's.

Example 3: She's human in a world dominated by supernatural beings, which makes her an outcast.

Example 4: She's looked down upon because of her appearance, especially if she's considered unattractive by the standards of her society.

These are just a few examples, and I'm open to other scenarios that fit the same general idea. What I'm really looking for is a book where the FMC is genuinely an outcast and is looked down on, rejected, or despised by her family and/or the people around her.

Bonus points if she's human rather than a supernatural being.

FMC is an ugly duckling.

The MMC is a supernatural being who doesn't understand and dislikes humans, while the FMC, ironically, is human.

I’m looking for books where the MMC is not human. He can be a vampire, werewolf, shifter, fae, elf, dragon, or any other supernatural creature, but it’s important that he genuinely does not understand human customs and doesn’t particularly like humans in general. I want an MMC who sees humans as strange, inferior, or simply incomprehensible at first.

Ironically, the FMC should be human. I also strongly prefer true slow burn romance. I don’t want the kind of couple that meets and instantly falls in love, lusts after each other, and sleeps together right away. I want to watch the relationship develop gradually through curiosity, distrust, cultural differences, and emotional growth.

I recently read “The Others” by Anne Bishop and completely fell in love with the dynamic. I adored how the “Others” are not human, rule the world, dislike humans, and have a completely different mindset, yet little by little the FMC and the small group of humans begin breaking through those emotional and cultural barriers. I love stories where supernatural creatures slowly learn to see humans as friends, people worth caring about, or someone worth protecting.

I’ve never really found another series with a similar dynamic, so I’d love recommendations with this kind of relationship and worldbuilding.

One very important detail: I do NOT want the FMC to secretly be magical, hybrid, vampire, werewolf, or anything non-human. I want her to remain completely human throughout the story.
