I have been trying to find some thoughts on this topic but have not managed to find any results...

I have an idea for a story but then I am influenced by something and bam another idea... I cant commit. I dont feel like then starting the first idea and it rots away.

How does one deal with it? Is this writing block?

At this rate I feel like just making a scrap book out of my ideas I never touch on because something else worms its way into my head....

Anyone have advise? a cure?

I’m about R340k in debt with FNB and earn after tax around R26k. Had a salary cut around the beginning of the year and used to earn around R30k.

I want to get into debt review because at this rate I’ll be blacklisted. But I have been reading reviews of all the debt counselors you get and I am very overwhelmed as there are a lot.

I know one has to check if they are registered and all that but I want to know who to definitely avoid and who one would recommend.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Its a big discourse at the moment, the amount of debt people have and the cost of living. People trying to just get by and others splurging on cars they cannot afford, for example. And have seen people mention they ignore their debt.

I am terrified of ending up on the wrong side of the law so how do you just ignore your debt? what has happened? what will happen?

I see people saying they owe millions and decided to just stop dealing with it....HOW?!

So I landed on a video yesterday with a guy saying how much debt he is in South Africa and the comments were flooded with people in similar situations.

A lot of debt and their income not being able to cover it anymore, as an example.

I am also in a lot of debt.

But the people I know around my age (20-30) do not even have a credit score or have major debt. It seems to be one or the other.

I am not here to listen to people judge about others and why they are in debt, we all have our reasons but with the unemployment being so high and the debt so bad... is there any future for the next generation? are we already set up for failure? I mean they stole how much of people's pensions? 3.6 billion....

I do not have a car or property, my debt was made to keep a roof over my family's head and everything in the world seems to keep getting worse so what is honestly the point if we all going to struggle?

I am a native English speaker wanting to improve my German, written mainly. I have troubles with languages and my work is requesting I improve my German but I have attended German lessons and well it did not improve so I am trying another method.

So I want to improve my German as well. So am hoping to find someone with the patience of a saint for a fool who can't remember if it is spelt 'Lekker' or 'Lecker.'

I love to read and write so I want to try and incorporate those into it, if possible.

I have spoken English my entire life and even minored in it in Uni! I can even throw in some Afrikaans words for good measure 😄

My schedule can get busy some days so I might be slow but otherwise I try to find as much time as possible.

Edit: I am from South Africa and about a A2/B1 in German

So I am very much childfree and never plan to have kids. But my questions is more regarding a 'what if' scenario as I just dealt with a client in this situation and I have seen it as a popular trope in stories.

So those who have nephews and nieces or any other type of young kids in the family, and not a lot of family to help out, if something happened would you take the child in?

If no, why not?
If yes, why?

Is it different if its a family member compared to adopting a strange child?

Family member wants to get a car before she heads into pension in about 10 years, wants to get a car now so it is paid off by then but honestly at this point are there any brands that will last that long anymore?

I know Toyota has a good reputation but will the new cars last as long as the older models have? and I mean with the hijacking stats is it even worth looking at them for an older lady?

Usually these posts have like hobbies and such like the typical, read books, enjoys hikes and murder but I feel like switching it up.

Cannot cook, cannot build anything to save my life but am stubborn enough to die trying. I am not handy but do try my best.

Now I am looking for people who like animals and might have a similar lifestyle? that's what I am gonna call it. I have a lot of animals cats, dogs, horses, and a few others, I like living further out from town and wish to live in the middle of nowhere. I know murder vibes but whatevs.

I like snakes, crocodiles, sharks and a lot of other wild animals. I have had to handle snakes to relocate them and chase my cats after they have hunted some poor unsuspecting animal. Would have been a vet but can't do math. But I can inject under the skin and shove a pill down a feral cats mouth. Have more scars from animals scratching me then childhood injuries.

I dont mind creepy crawlies but there are some I just cannot handle.

So if you have an abundance of animals or pets you need to care for hit me up, or if you wanna go swimming with sharks then def tell me about it. Also if you like living further out and away from people. Nature and murder go well together.

I have to wear glasses 24/7 (can’t work without them) and I know you’re not supposed to skimp but I don’t have medical and my company scrapped covering anything for them. I can’t afford the R6k for new ones right now but I am struggling to see so any ideas would be great!

Wondering about those who have ever claimed from the road accident fund. Was in a bad accident in mid 2024 and my work told me I shouldn’t claim from them or even attempt it.

But a new co worker said I should look if I still could claim as I suffered injuries.

I’d like to get anyone else’s experiences. I apparently still have time to claim if it’s possible.
