Whats yalls craziest misheard lovejoy lyrics?

Recently found out:

"I could spend a weekend watching shark videos" is actually "shock videos"

The bridge in Scoundrels before 'so what's it even mean to be accepted by the scene" is js a synth and not a gut wrenching Wilbur yell

In IGHS I thought it was "describe our naked bodies as equal partnerships" tunrs out its "describe our naked bodies over zoom call partnerships" and also at the end "when all others see fit to take what u see fit" is actually "were all on a CFIT, so take what you see fit"

These are just the ones I've realised in the last few days who knows how many more there are I haven't noticed 😭😭

Is this retro looking BA boarding pass of any interest/worth?

Preface: I know pretty much nothing about aviation except my brother is a pilot this is my first time on this sub.

Found this in a second hand copy of cosmos by Carl sagan and was wondering if anyone can identify when it's from and where the flight was to/from, I'd love to know the story!

Irrelevant posts

Can we stop posting the most redundant, irrelevant low effort things like "1-5 how well known am i" and "[list of basic questions] give me a number and I'll answer" etc etc. Basically js posts that don't have any real substance.

I know it's summer now but rhis is still a GCSE SUB not r/teenagers or wtv

British to American school system translation

Hello from the South of england! I have this annual charity work thing where I work with a bunch of people from America and, being a teenager, the go to question is always "what grade are you in?" To which I tend to reply "umm idk american grades but I'm 16 if that helps"

So, if I'm 16 turning 17 in march next year, have finished year 11 here and have done my gcses moving on to alevels in September, how do I say that to an american? Am I in highschool?

This sub confuses me sometimes

Hi so I'm really not active on this sub but I always come across posts and I have questions:

  1. Why is everyone so desperate to have a decided nickname for their child's name? I feel like the concept of a nickname is something you aquire as you get older or if you want your name to he shortened. Of course parents can have a nickname while they're still young but it just seems like there's this obsession over nicknames idk.

  2. I never understood "what's a good sibling name for _____"? Unless you're going for sibling names all with the same letter/meaning I guess but a lot of them are like "what would sound good with jessica?", "Uh how about [any name ever]" "oh that's such a good pairing!"

  3. "Is my child gonna be bullied if I name them this cause it will remind people of [something horrific that no one would relate to a child/something really niche that no one was thinking until you just said it]?"

5 years of periods and they've recently got more frequent?

Im 16 and got my first period when I was 11 and while they were slightly irregular to begin with they've been quite regular once a month around the same day same flow pattern until now when I had a relatively light period, then 2 weeks later another heavier period and 2 weeks after I've now started another one. Is this normal hormonal changes or something else. My diet and exercise are pretty much the same though I have been eating healthier and more citrus fruits especially oranges. At what point do I consider a visit to the doctors?
