Does anyone know why the outcome was overexposed ?

It was shot on Kodak vision3 50D Color negative film, I remember I used the step down function on canon Ae-1 program, or when shooting this type of scene better with a filter ? Thanks for any insights !

[Printing] Any online print services for your artwork that highly matching the color?( like 95%) Moo Vs. Staples Vs. Vistaprint ?

I am looking to print some of my photography to cards and sell on the art market, however I go to one of the local print shop but the results are not pleasant, The color dynamic is missing , colors were darkened , blue sky are mixed with purple tint, and there has weird visible printing strip

And the owner give an excuses saying we can’t guarantee the same result, the color you see on screen is different from the printer

So I wonder has anyone used Moo , Staple or Vistaprint ? Which one has the best results? Thank you !

Does your citizenship status impact you networking with others ?

I am a student with study permit holder, whenever I talk with someone I always have the subconscious that I don’t know what to talk about, and a thought that our path may never come across again. We don’t really parallel in someways. And I always avoid discuss that my status is temporary resident as well, it kind of feels like a taboo for me.

How do you separate yourself from the historical issue ?

I am probably a person with strong sensibilities and deep emotional sensitivity.

Recently, I did a research project and learned about the traumatic history of Chinese Canadians , especially the destruction of Toronto’s Chinatown, the Chinese Head Tax, the , and the construction of the most dangerous sections of the Canadian Pacific Railway, where countless Chinese workers died while being paid only half of what white workers earned.

This completely changed my perception of the multiculturalism… especially realizing how much it is established upon the colonial past.

And sometimes I just can’t unsee Chinatown for what it used to be, and I feel a deep sadness and grief that I’m not sure how to process.

Combined with the stereotypes and lack of Asian representation in mainstream media , especially as someone who partially works in film , this created a feeling of having my hands tied.

What makes it even harder is that nobody around me seems to fully understand what I’m feeling or know how to cope with it either.

What are your suggestions for pull yourself out of this madness? It seems like a curse, the more you know the more unhappiness you’ll be.
