Question regarding character imports in NWN:EE and it's modules

Tagged as spoilers in case people don't know. I've always wondered but have never gotten around to trying it, if I complete the OG campaign and have the henchmen's items and Aribeth's ring, and then import that character into HotU, do we get any extra dialogue? Does Aribeth recognize her ring?

How would you handle levels beyond 20 if your campaign is.. well.. massive.

Whether your playing D&D or Pathfinder it seems like the level cap is pretty settled at 20. So how do you deal with a campaign large enough that 20 levels probably won't cut it?

I have a campaign idea that I'm planning that will span not just a continent but two actual settings. Obviously it'll be a long while before it's playable, but I want to figure out the solution to this problem early. I know back in 3.5 we had epic levels but we don't really have anything similar besides the "epic boons" which isn't quite the same.

So how would you deal with it? Raise the cap and rig a way to go above it? Set up leveling based on milestones that will just have a very long period of time between levels? Reduce the exp gained from everything by enough to delay leveling up? What's everyone's thoughts?

EDIT: I do think the point is being lost that I am intending the campaign to go on for that long. I WANT to have a giant, sprawling game that will take a long time to complete. I'm not planning on dumping exp down the players throats in the course of a year. That's why I'm asking. The game is meant to take a long time and they will eventually reach the level cap and beyond.

How much am I missing out on if I take Talk to Animals every time?

I ask because honestly trying to play the game without TTA makes it feel like a huge chunk of the cast is missing. Maybe I spoiled myself by taking it on my first run but not being able to talk to so many fun characters makes me sad. So if I'm always being chatty with the local wildlife, am I going to be missing out on a lot of other options?

Sorcerer or Bard for my build?

So I've got a fresh install of NWN:EE on my PC. I'm going to play through the campaigns again. For the SoU -> HoU expansions I was thinking it could be fun to do a Dragon Disciple/Arcane Archer ranged fighter build. I'll select elf as my race to cover the ability to use Longbows and to satisfy the Arcane Archer Elf/Half Elf requirements, and that just leaves which class is better to start this venture off with as a base: Bard or Sorcerer. On one hand Bard will give me some good skills and such to utilize since I'm primarily going to be just shooting things in the face hole. On the other hand, Sorcerer can give me some spells to use for buffing, which would enable me to become a much beefier fighter.

What do you all think?

EDIT: Seems like Bard has the winning vote. Deekin and I will be singing songs throughout the land!

Sooo do we know when the last chapters are going to be released?

I know the most recent update was only like a few days ago, but I was wondering if there was a time table or anything posted so we'd know about when to expect the endings? I started the game up, and I LOVE it, and I burned through my first run and it's like a massive cliffhanger and I need to know what happens before I can bring myself to start a new run lol

Ok. How do I Book of Hours.

So I picked up Cultist Simulator when it first came out. Loved it, played the crap out of it, mastered it. Went in blind and didn't look things up until much later for specific endings, etc. if I couldn't figure them out myself.

Enter Book of Hours. I know it's different than CS. I picked it up at launch. Tried to go in blind. Got 60 hours in, got stuck. I didn't want to look stuff up, I didn't want to reset my save, and because I'm stubborn as crap I basically shelved the game. Well.. I want to play it and complete it. I'm going to start a new save. So what are the important points? I eventually got to the point where I could never muster enough anything to read new books, open new rooms, etc. I had about half the house unlocked before I got stuck. What am I missing?

EDIT: To answer some questions that are popping up. I have leveled up my skills. Currently I have several 3s, 4s and one actually at 6, Disciplines of the Hammer. I have almost the entire upper house unlocked except for the western most rooms and I had been trying to make some headway into the basement but without any luck. I have done minimal crafting.

Question about the TCG - How the Friendship Letter card works

The card itself is an Event Card. It costs 5 Harmony to play. The text is where things get.. confusing. It says:

"Only use when there is any [Unicorn] in your Adventure Area. Move 1 Hand to Story Area, it becomes the Plan."

The first part is self explanatory, but the second part is where it gets confusing. My wife and I are split on how it works. I think it means you can swap one card from your hand with one of your Plan cards from on your Story. She thinks it means you can use it to replace a Plan card that has already been removed. To be honest we aren't sure if either of these is correct and I haven't been able to locate an explanation.

Does anyone know?

Are the Horsemen considered gods or not?

I ask because I’ve seen several posts referencing that Paizo doesn’t give stat blocks to their gods, and yet in Bestiary 6 there’s a stat block for each Horseman. You’d think that made it cut and dry, but the Horsemen can be worshipped and give powers to people who do so like the gods do. They have fully functional cults and stuff. So what’s the verdict here?

Sooo Test of the Starstone. If you wanted it to work, how would you do it?

So the fact this exists in the first place means my players are gonna wanna try it. The obvious solution to them trying is if they succeed they lose their character as they ascend, they decide what kinda god they wanna be, and then roll up someone new. However I was wondering, what if the players succeeding was worked into the plot? My current campaign will end with them fighting some gods after all, so why not? With that in mind, I’m wondering how you more experienced folks would handle this situation.

What is the biggest McGuffin in Ravnica?

So I’m planning a campaign that will involve getting a powerful object from Ravnica. My knowledge of the setting is moderate at best, so I figured I’d post on here and pick the brains of those more knowledgeable.

What is the biggest McGuffin of Ravnica? I need to send the party in to pick up a very powerful artifact to help with their quest. I could just make something up but I feel it’d be more fun if it was something from the lore that all the guilds would want to have or keep secret. Something big.

Anyone have any ideas?
