Looking for a new anime to watch! Any help?

Hi everyone, i'm not really looking for any specific genre (although i gravitate towards fantasy), just hoping to find some new recommendations. Shows i've enjoyed in the past include, Castlevania (what originally got me into anime) and also Vinland Saga, Invincible, The Legend of Vox Machina, and The Mighty Nein.

Any shows that are similar to the above would be great but I'm genuinely open to anything. Was thinking of watching the "Castlevania: Nocturne" but i've read mixed reviews on it, was it any good?
Thanks.

Bitlocker on new Windows 11 home installiation

Hi all, just installed Windows Home 11 via the media creation tool from Microsoft. I'm currently looking to find Bitlocker/Device Encryption to disable/remove it but can't seem to find it anywhere?

I created a local account and not a microsoft account (not sure if that makes any difference)

Has it been removed from new installitions?

What was the general feeling towards the series "How are you?" ?

I’ve only just got around to watching this, and I was wondering what other people generally thought of the series?

I'm a huge fan of Alan Partridge (mid-morning series 2 is peak Partridge for me), and I'm usually massively disappointed whenever a series ends. However, with How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge), I just didn't feel the same way. To be honest, I didn't enjoy it all that much.

Is it just me, or did anyone else feel a bit underwhelmed by this one?

First boot on new build, CPU temp in BIOS in the 40s

Hi all, just built my first PC and booted it for the first time in BIOS. When updating the BIOS the temp went to 47C, while when idle it was 42C. That seems pretty high to me?

AI said the following, but i'm not too sure, think it's just tyring to make me feel better, lol:

"Being in the BIOS completely changes the context, and it means you have absolutely nothing to worry about*. In fact, 42°C in the BIOS is a fantastic result.*

Here is exactly why your CPU runs hotter in the BIOS than it will in Windows:

NO OS Power management:

When you boot into Windows, the operating system takes over and tells the CPU, "You aren't doing anything right now, drop your clock speed down to 3.0 GHz (or lower) and reduce your voltage."

In the BIOS, Windows isn't there to manage power. The motherboard usually runs the CPU at its base clock (3.7 GHz for your 7900) constantly. Because the CPU is running at a higher fixed speed and drawing slightly more power just sitting there, it generates more heat."

Spec:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor
  • CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
  • Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK
  • Memory: Crucial Pro Overclocking 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
  • Storage: Crucial T500 2 TB
  • Video Card: Asus DUAL OC GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Video Card
  • Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
  • Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower Case (3 fans)

Should i be worried? Does the thermal paste need to go through a few cycles to spead more evenly? I've only had the PC on for about 20 mins in total.

Efflorescence issue with postcrete

Hi all, a few days ago i used some postcrete to create a base for a planter in a chimney pot, i was planning on using normal builders cement with sand but i didint have any lying around so i decided to use postcrete.

The issue is, after 5 days of drying in hot weather (25c+) im still seeing efflorescence grow back on the base after i have washed it down with a hose.

My question is, was using postcrete a mistake? Will the efflorescence ever dissapear after the base fully cures?

Below are some pics of the efflorescence after day 1, it's now day 5 and it isn't as dense as that anymore but it's still there in a chalky kind of form.

Should i wait? I really don't want to but should i restart?

Thanks.

Edit: After day five i washed it down with the garden hose and gave it a couple of knocks with my knuckles and while overall it seems strong, on the surface it crumbled a little in the middle.

Images created while on free plan have dissapeared?

Images i created in saved chats from a couple months back have all dissapeared? Frigging annoying if they are gone forever, i had probably around 20 saved chats in total with various prompts, the prompts are still there but without the images the prompts mean nothing.

I just checked some chats that i had a few days ago and the images i created in those chats are still there.

Has this happened to anyone else?

PSU Installation, fan facing up or down?

Hi everyone,

I'm installing a Corsair RM750e in a Montech XR case. My PC will be sitting on carpet. Should that make a difference in whether the fan faces up or down?

I know the general rule is fan-down for cases with bottom vents, but I've seen a few videos where they install the fan facing upwards, such as here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqspjZhj7gk (11mins 12secs)

I've also seen videos where they face it down, like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqiwvvKH8sU&t (7mins 30secs)

Is there a significant difference in performance between having the fan face down or up in the long term? I'm planning on keeping this build for at least 5 years, probably longer.

If i was to get a PC stand like this pc stand would it then be ok to have the fan facing down?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone else feel like they are kinda addicted to this game?

I love this game and play it frequently but perhaps a little too often. I've got into the habbit of playing it for an hour or so before i go bed, some nights i say to myself, "ok, no fall guys tonight, watch something, read a book or do something else"....but i always end up playing it! I have a love/hate relationship with this game, lol.

Anyone know anything about this or tried it?

"WTMETHODE's Cure Grey Care is Korea’s first and only specialized scalp and hair program designed to address gray hair. Rather than relying on traditional dyes, the treatment uses essential enzymes and advanced K-beauty technology to stimulate the scalp's environment and naturally promote the formation of melanin pigments.

How the Treatment Works

The Cure Grey Care solution focuses on treating the root cause of graying by reviving inactive melanocytes (the cells responsible for hair pigment). It is typically applied through a structured multi-step process:

  • Scalp Detoxification & Scaling: Deep cleans pores to remove oxidized sebum and dead skin, creating a healthy environment for hair follicles.
  • Vital Ampoule Therapy: Delivers specialized enzymes and vital nutrients directly into the scalp to encourage melanin production.
  • Regeneration & Circulation: Uses specialized therapies—such as aqua therapy and magnetic field therapy—to improve blood circulation, increase cell regeneration, and balance the scalp's pH.

Key Benefits

  • Drug-free Pigmentation: Helps restore the hair's natural color gradually without the damage, strong odors, or harsh chemicals associated with synthetic hair dyes.
  • Scalp Health Improvement: Combats inflammation, soothes the scalp, and prevents premature graying caused by stress or a weakened scalp environment.
  • Hair Loss Prevention: The enzymatic treatment doubles as hair loss care, helping to strengthen hair follicles and improve overall hair thickness."
