This is what Fire Giant looks like for me on any NG+ cycle. 😂

This boss deserves zero respect, especially at RL1. So boring, unnecessarily tanky, and run away central.

I've done my share of +0, no aux etc. kills of this guy. I can't be bothered anymore, he's just not satisfying to fight.

I'll do the first kill on my runs as per my restrictions for that run, but all bets come off upon NG+ 1-7 🤷🏻

Messmers Spear - Goldfrey NG+2

The AoW on this thing is ALMOST a decent method of dodging and punishing the stomps. ALMOST.

Unfortunately, 3 of the follow up attacks (as the AoW more than often brings you into close proximity) however are completely unavoidable given the length of the animation.

Basically, you can only safely punish the stomp if you are at the same distance that you could just walk back to avoid the move, as that leaves you positioned far enough away that it's most LIKELY he won't follow up with any of those three attacks.

So. Roll of the dice.

I came close a few times, but decided to allow myself two attempts of good RNG to punish at the start of the fight, before finishing the rest of the fight normally, and saving the final AoW punish until the final blow, just in case. 🤷🏻

All in all, a very fun way to fight Godfrey, just not at RL1. 💔

Giant Crusher w/ Deflecting Hardtear - DTS NG+2

Is giant crusher ever worth it at RL1? No.

But...

Is big bonk the true way of life? Yes.

This would be the perfect opportunity for the one update we so desperately need.

As ERs "final" update, wouldn't it be perfect for them to FINALLY add a *BOSS REMATCH* mechanic? Honestly could think of nothing better for the games end of life patch. (Perhaps a randomization tool/menu too but that's asking a bit much for us poor console players).

So I've never used the Deflecting Hardtear, until today...NG+2 - Margit

I heard about it, I saw some kills with it, I never actually used it as I'm not really a fan of Sekiro or LoP.

I wasn't expecting it to trivialize the game THIS much. 😂

Forgot I was on NG+ for a second and was expecting an earlier stance break 🤦🏻

Also lucked out and learnt that Dragonclaw will "jump" the stomp, pretty neat. 🤭

I really wish there was a better way to deal with the Erdtree Avatars stall move. 😫

It's always "run away" or "roll like a m'fer". Always ruining the flow of these fights. 😂

I find this particular arena annoying also, which is the real reason I think this avatar is the "hardest". Just a little too squishy, and slopey, to be dealing with rot AND trying not to get frame trapped.

If an Erdtree Guardian was a boss 🙏🏻

Head - Jar

Chest - Guardian Garb (Full Bloom)

Arms - Divine Bird Warrior

Legs - Young Lion

+ Trolls Golden Sword and Erdtree Greatshield

Greed, glorious Greed...forever the undoing. 🤦🏻

I got him the following attempt, which I shall post shortly, but my caveman brain couldn't help trying to squeeze the kill shot in...😂

Just kinda, forgot, about that whole phase 2 thing 🙄🤦🏻

I was just so chilled out that I didn't really register the phase transition move at all 😅

How many of you PC players do your NG+7 kills via intended gameplay route?

What I mean is are there any PC players who go through all NG+ cycles from Journey 1-7?

I personally don't really have a choice being a PlayStation user, but sometimes I wish I did have the ease of hand-picking weapons and difficulties and boss fights without having to go through the processes that are the intended game mechanics and flow.

I've only ever done two NG+7 save cycles at RL1 and the sheer hours invested hurt to look back on. 😂 Even with a cycle or two of those being absolute glass cannons and under 10 hour runs.

Honestly I think this post is more that I just wish that ER had manipulation capabilities for console players. 😫 Where are my PS2 cheat codes and Bethesda/Skyrim mods? 😂
