Traveling to Colombia this weekend from the US-- looking for recommendations on travel insurance.

I've googled and have found some articles that have "5 best' or the like but don't trust that they aren't somehow paid by the companies they recommend. Looking for recommendations for self and spouse, traveling last minute to Colombia for a week. I have a preexisting medical condition, he doesn't. I'm worried more about injuries and medical help/evacuation (worried in light of this earthquake) than coverage for petty theft or flight delays. We both have primary coverage thru our employers.

I've looked at BCBS global solutions (formerly GeoBlue), and that looked good and had good reviews, but then saw Zurich and Allianz. I've read that Allianz and Zurich sucked at payout.

Any help would be so appreciated! TIA!

Suggestions for couple's workbook

My husband and I( m/f, 40s), married 4 years, could work on our communication and arguing skills. We have a strong marriage but do have some issues around occasional anger outbursts and misaligned communication styles. Neither of us have ever been abusive, disrespectful or derogatory to each other. Short of doing couple's therapy, I'm looking at workbooks we could do together focusing on effective communication, triggers, and how to discuss and navigate tension and conflict without escalation. Asking for any suggestions from any other couples have found any that are or have been useful. TIA

TLDR summary: my husband and I need some couple's counseling for communication. Looking for suggestions on workbooks that might be useful.

Gotta love lows while on a work call

So I'm on a business call with a manager and I'm trying to explain something, I keep talking in circles and then I start to say that I'm overthinking.... and then I feel l lightheaded and remember I had an extended bolus on my pump I forgot to stop like an hour ago and my sugar dad going on 70 lol. I apologized and let them know what was happening (thankfully I work in healthcare and she's a nurse director, so she understood) but how embarrassing!! 🫠

So annoyed at how people just don't read instructions, emails, communications, documents, etc thoroughly anymore then get disappointed at the outcome.

I've noticed this at work, and in life. Our attention spans are so short we can't be bothered to read through a simple set of instructions, emails, etc that requires attention. And then we complain when the outcome is negative when all it took was to just simply focus for a second longer to read through something.

I work in recruitment and I can't tell you how many times candidates don't read a posting thoroughly and get disqualified because they didn't follow the simple instructions I provide so that they get a fair chance. Or at the offer stage they don't read the succint and direct but thorough information I provide, and come back with questions I literally answered in my email.

In life, I see how people don't read recipe instructions and fuck up something they were looking forward to eating. Or don't bring documents to important appointments at the DMV or passport office, etc. Can we all just TRY just a little to read shit we know requires attention?? I blame tik tok, insta and all the insipid social media sites. And of course our dumb phones, and am just so annoyed. 😒

And yes, I'm a geriatric millennial😞😒

Question

So, I was diagnosed last year at the age of 41, it came out of the blue after going thriugh several hypomanic episodes triggered by an SSRI I was taking at the time in combination with a lot of caffeine and Adderall. Little did I know that medicine had this risk in people who have a family history of bipolar2 or that it unmasks it. Anyway, I have been managing it with a more holistic approach because the mood stabilizers would make a couple of my medical conditions significantly worse. I've been doing pretty well so far, and have recognized some triggers and do my best to work on avoiding it managing them.

My question is, how can one tell when their 'down' feelings are related to this condition versus feelings a person without depression might have? To give bets context, I'm having a rough, stressful period at the moment managing my health, my elderly parent's health and their administrative issues (think things password/ phoneproblems, social security payment issues, etc), supporting my husband with his own needs, work stress..i feel down and feel sadness. I get moments where I feel like life is just not a thing i want to participate in. Not to hurt myself, but just this observation of looking at life objectively and seeing it's futility. People experience so much pain and suffering and hurt, I struggle with understanding why people want to bring children into this world. I also see that there is so much beauty in the world, too. I am grateful and feel joy in small things I experience throughout the day. I imagine most everyone feels like this or had these thoughts.

Is this a normal thing to do? Or is this a a symptom of depression? I can never figure this out.

Is this an appropriate price for this baby?

Hi all, i just finished the Cecilia sculpt from Bonnie Sieben and am not sure how much to price her . I am thinking $250-300, as I see others in similar quality priced around that. Some of my friends think I should charge more, but they aren't collectors. I'm new to this, but i know there are high expectations. She was made with professional grade acrylics and mediums, and her hair is both painted and prismacolor. Her eyelashes are rooted.

Only issue: I moved recently and in the process of decluttering I must have accidentally tossed her COA (along with other important docs I'm having a hard time locating). Not sure how much that might bring it down, any insights would be helpful.
