Dondorians won't move to suburb

I gave someone advice about this exact problem just days ago and now I have the same problem and can't find the post.

I've been trying to set up a dwarf town under the mountain on the other side of the map from my main settlement. Every other race has dwarf jobs almost banned. Dwarves have dwarf jobs set to highest. The only nearby houses are dwarf only.

The dwarves stay homeless and randos do a crazy commute on foot.

What am I missing?

Botfly larva update (just 8 minutes of digging, sped up to 3)

Ranger buddy, ento buddy, and reddit all ruled out hominis while also giving the go ahead to dispose of it however. Was setting up a rig to feed it to a wild toad, but by then...look. I spend way too much time managing wilderness to have any sentimentality about it. But somehow the hours of witnessing this limbless thing's energetic monomania to fulfill its purpose moved me. Just looked a damn lot like will to live. And I got to thinking how many stages of life it'd already been through and how weird it is I saw this one and how I don't know who it might be their favorite food. So I took it off the acre where whatever exists without my knowledge exists without my consent to a spot I thought I'd like if I were a little grubby thing that needed to get underground.

After eight minutes, I realized the wood mulch I'd set it on was too dense and ants had alerted to its position, so I poked my finger through to where the soil was loose to make up for however many hours I cost it and maybe fake a mouse hole. It had totally vanished when I checked on it minutes later. Good ending, probably. There is a possibility for a bad ending that might have happened behind my back, in the form of my Labrador retriever, heard but not pictured.

My apologies to the mouse community.

Is thermal imaging viable for seeing bats behind drywall? Wood?

Stop me if you've heard this one before: tin roof cabi--oh, you know the score? Great!

This year, in spite or because of prior years' efforts, they've audibly progressed from the upstairs eaves to the walls throughout the building. Is a thermal camera viable for surveying their extent and where they cluster? I've got an endoscope, but I'd rather not Swiss cheese the place.

Hate the bat bugs, love the bats. Wish I could feed them all tick medicine...

And I'm practically deaf from allergies. We'll see if it's correlation or causation. Funny thing if I'm horribly allergic to bats!

Merge Sesame Street with The Wire

Commenter on a different post told somebody to "go watch Sesame Street."

I immediately thought Big Bird would have a long way to bend down when puking outside Kavanagh's.

Might be something here worth investigating.
