3 year 6 month age gap

Mum to a nearly 4 year old and a 5 mont old. Age gap is 3 years 6 months. I’m wondering when it usually gets to the point where they actually start playing together. At the moment, my nearly 4 year old still looks to us a lot for someone to play with, and obviously the baby is too young to really play with her yet. They do sit together when older one is playing and smile and laugh at each other. I sometimes find it hard to picture them actually playing together. For those with a similar age gap, do your children play together now? When did you start noticing them genuinely enjoying playing together rather than just being around each other?
Would love to hear your experiences.

3.5 year age gap

Has anyone got a 3.5 year age gap between their kids? Do they play together much? Do you like the age gap overall? And what does it look like a few years down the line?

Behaviour, big sister

My daughter will be 4 in September and my baby is nearly 4½ months old. I've noticed my 4 year old's behaviour is much worse when it's just me, her and the baby. If she's one-to-one with me, she's absolutely fine and such a good girl.
My husband works during the day, so on the days I'm not with my mam or have extra help, I'm on my own with both of them, and that's when her behaviour is at its worst. For example, if I'm trying to get the baby down for a nap, she'll start acting up and end up waking the baby.
I'm really struggling with managing both of them on my own and dealing with the behaviour. Has anyone any tips or advice? Does it get easier?

Multiple wake ups

Daughter is 4 in September. Some nights she sleeps through, other nights it's multiple wake ups. Demanding I go into her to put covers on, says she wants me, is scared. Anything really. We are exhausted. We also have a 4 month old. How do others in this situation manage it? Husband works shift work so somethings gets home 12am. And other mornings leaves 5am. Do one of us sleep in with the 4 year old and one stay with the 4 month old? Is co sleeping the answer? Please any advice

9 month old lunch ideas

Any lunch ideas for a 9-month-old? At the minute I mostly give strawberries (he just sucks on them), toast, yogurt and melt puffs, but I want to give him a bit more variety. He’s not great with baby-led weaning, so looking for easy ideas. What are your little ones eating for lunch? Any ideas please let me know, thank you

Controlling 4 year old

My daughter is 4 in September. She has just a strong need for control. When we're playing with her toys she has to control everything, sometimes getting in the car she has to pick who puts her in, when I try to help her get dressed she demands it's done in a certain place and not where I ask her to do it. I always try to follow through with what I say. For example if I count to three and you haven't done x,y,z you're dolls are been taken. This was working recently but know when I'm doing the counting she shouts no no I need to tell you something. She's almost looking for control and needs to say it. Any advice please? Is this normal?

Bad behaviour for mom and dad

Hi, my daughter is nearly 4. Her behaviour for myself and her dad is very bad. I follow through with what I say to her but she has no problem hitting at us and shouting. Seems like everything is a battle and we are constantly fighting. She would not act like this with her nanny or aunty who she spends a lot of time with. Is it normal for her to act out like this with myself and her dad? She would never be like this with others, even very close family members.
