Smoker hack that disappeared after COVID infection, now returned little over 3 years later

(57M) was lifelong smoker until 2 years ago.(still smoke herb daily)

Got COVID January 2022, noticed about 6 months after infection that my smoker's hack (which is really a clearing of the throat and will produce a little bit of speudum) disappeared completely. I was still smoking same amount, but the hack just stopped, completely. At the time, mentioned this fact to a few people and no one seemed to find it odd except me.

Maybe about 2 months ago, I realize my hack, or clearing of the throat, has returned just as it was very many years ago.

AOE experience something like this, or heard of this? Anyone have a physiological explanation?

Men: To those who recently signed-up and created a FB account, did your initial, default feed include a great amount of spicy content?

That was my experience; don't know if that was specific to me, or this was SOP for FB to initially start populating your feed with super "suggestive" content 🤷‍♂️

Trying to understand if this was a grift or not; happened at the used car lot ~1994

So I'm 24 years old in 1994, and looking to purchase a 4WD Toyota cuz I'm new here in Southern Arizona. Go look at '85 4Runner at the corner lot, and as me and my buddy in the salesman are gathered near this vehicle and having a chat, this guy in a truck pulls up adjacent to us. He hops out and exclaims, motioning to the sales guy, "Hey! I wanna buy that 4Runner!", and he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a substantial wad of cash and kinda waves it at the sales guy.

So the sales guy explained to the guy holding the cash that he was in the middle of talking with myself and my buddy, and he would have to get back with him or some such thing, and he went on his way. Sales guy finishes his sales pitch, I took his business card, end up buying elsewhere.

My Question is:

Was the guy flashing wad of cash part of a ploy to increase my interest and hopefully buy that vehicle? Like some sales supe in the office pulls old "Jimmy" aside, and points out to where I'm talking to the salesman and says "hey Jimmy here take this five grand in cash and drive around the block there and pull up in the sales lot and hop out and say to Mr sales guy 'hey I want to buy this vehicle right now'"

The whole thing just felt weird...

Been resisting because of "install anxiety". Where did you get yours professionally installed?

Doing some research on best dashcams, see that it's best to hardwire the unit, and would like to find a place that's well equipped and experienced in front/rear install.

Any recs to point me in right direction please?

Gnats(?) on the Vincas

New to gardening here. Have a couple vincas in pots out my front door. Seems when I water them, there are gnats or some kinda bug that gets flying around while watering. Are these some kind of bugs that I should be treating with some kind of solution or is this a non-issue to worry about?

Wearing upper dentures with a numb mouth??

I have what doctors have said is spinal stenosis in my cervical vertebrate, and my entire head has this numbish feeling, and is particularly pronounced on my nose and upper palette area.

This had made wearing upper dentures very challenging, and the sensation with them in is bizzare.

Anyone else, maybe, experienced something similar?

Going to ortho for intermittent shoulder pain in couple weeks and hoping for advice please

(M57) Past two years having right shoulder pain that seems to appear about 48 hours after sustained physical use. Last bout of pain likely caused from splitting maybe three logs for a campfire using a wedge and 5 lb sledge.

Best way to describe pain is if I go to grab/loft coffee pot out of coffeemaker, I get a stabbing pain in right shoulder to the point where it's all I can do to not drop pot. Generally shoulder will feel better after three weeks of resting it.

Also should be known I was carpenter for many years...

So really I'm just kind of wondering what might this Ortho say is wrong with my shoulder? And also advice if he were to say "I think you should have some surgery", is shoulder surgery something contemplate very seriously before jumping into it?

Any info would be appreciated

Spinal stenosis Dx for cervical vertebrae, injections as treatment?

Diagnosed with spinal stenosis in my cervical vertebrate and the medical provider has referred me to a place called The Pain Institute. And what I have with my spinal stenosis is numbness feeling over my whole head and face. So I'm trying to understand if they do some sort of injection in my neck area, what does it do to address this numbish feeling. So I guess as a way person I'm looking at this like if they're going to try and block some nerve, but it's already producing some numbness, what are they actually doing to the nerve?

Almost seems like blocking the nerve would cause numbness.

Any Simplistic explanation would be appreciated
