This is my illustration of a cosmos flower fairy/spirit which I turned into a sticker.

I turned my Autumn Equinox illustration into a sticker, along with Summer Solstice and Spring Equinox. Here she is:

Here is a selection of some of my autumn inspired art, turned into stickers or sticker sheets. There are woodland nymphs, mushroom maids and some witches, some benevolent, some not :)

This is one of those artworks that I kept doing and redoing. I kept changing the pose and the colors until I realised this just needs to come into the world somehow and just let her be. Sometimes it's more useful to leave things imperfect and start something else than just beat over the head an image - it seems that perfection is such an elusive thing, slippery like fish and rarely ever granted to mortals. Perhaps only for the gods.
So here she is, my chamomile tea nymph, chilling in the sun 💫

This character is inspired by my trip to Sardinia, which happened in June (it seems it was last year, not 2 months ago :)) There I saw the Nuraghe and I learnt about this ancient civilisation that built many sanctuaries connected to water deities. When I go on trips like this, I love to buy books about the history, flora and fauna of the place. They inspire me when I get back and help me remember better the places I saw. A nice book I got on this travel is called "Il popolo di Bronzo" and it has drawings of what the Nuragic people might have actually looked back then, inspired by the small bronze statuettes found in the archeological excavations.
This was a little backstory so you know where this character comes from. I imagined her as a water priestess; she was inspired by one of the drawings in the book.
The last two slides are the linework and the render layer as separate passes. I like to turn off the line layer to check if the rendering holds the volume.

It's almost a year since I finished this illustration. And I thought it would be nice to show a small timelapse video of her, since it's almost autumn.
I was inspired by the irresistible smell, texture and colors of mushrooms. Each time I chopped them to cook something, it made me want to grab my art supplies and just draw something.

I made this image to celebrate Sanziene, the Romanian version of the Midsummer or Summer Solstice. It takes place June 24th and to me it carries a very mystical meaning. This celebration is associated with love and fertility. On this night girls traditionally wear crowns made of yellow flowers (Galium verum). They also decorate the houses and gates with these plants, as they protect against the evil. On this magical night the gates of heaven open, allowing the two realms, of the living and of the dead, to communicate.

Summer Solstice is my third illustration from the Wheel of the Year series, after Spring Equinox. This was inspired by warm summer nights and pagan beliefs. I wanted the illustration to be colorful and bright and I went out of my comfort zone with the colors. And now I turned her into a sticker :)

I drew this image last winter, but here is a snippet of my painting process. It is a redraw of an older piece from 2021. Back then I was really struggling with both anatomy and costume design. So I thought it would be a great opportunity to redraw it and see where I'm standing compared to last year.
