Bought this on a trip in Budapest in 2004. Been sitting in a box in my house ever since. Thought I’d do some research about it. Love the dial!

This Lumed dial really puts the ssk019 to another level 🔥
Just installed my first mods on my ssk017. I wanted to brighten up and slim down the bezel on the watch a bit, so I went with the slim coin edge bezel from Namoki and the vintage Lumed coke Sapphire insert from LCBI.
Picked up an alleged green seiko 5 GMT off of Facebook marketplace last week and I just received the package. What I received is a pretty shoddy fake. The fitment of the bezel is wrong. The bezel insert is angled. The Crystal is wrong. The gap in the Crystal to the dial is wrong. The dial itself doesn’t lume. the dial lacks the made in Japan marking. The caseback markings are wrong. The case itself has un drilled lugs. The bezel itself clicks. And the movement is wrong.
Watch out there!
GMT, Diver, Field. My favorite go-to setup while traveling for work. What’s everybody’s three watch travel combo?
Picked this up of watchexchange. Complete set with the added uncle strap, recently serviced 3 months ago. I love the way it wears and the champagne dial is even better than i thought it would be! I think my blue SMP300 might have to move over because this could very well be my new daily 🥳
Thinking that I’m still short a mechanical chronograph. The moonswatch was a fun purchase for a cheap watch that I don’t worry about, but if I’m honest it gets little wear. I’m thinking a MK40 triple date racing, or a blue Speedmaster Schumacher Cart.
So here’s my issue: I love the Speedmasters history and I would like to have a chronograph in my collection. However, I find the moonwatch and professional to be such a common choice that I struggle. So in my mind, I start looking at the more niche speedmasters throughout the years, and I think to myself either the Schumacher Kart racing or the Mark 4.5 have the uniqueness that I’m looking for. What’s the community’s opinion? Which one should I go for?
Print throws Error 103. I’ve replaced the hotend twice, the toolhead PCB, and the toolhead cable. PSU remains at 24.0 V while the failure occurs. PID calibration passes. During printing, the nozzle falls from 220°C to ~214°C and eventually faults.
HELP!
Found this oddity at an auction the other day, and thought I’d pick it up. Apparently Micronta was a Radio Shack brand in the 1980s cashing in on the calculator watch craze at the time. Thing is NOS mint with booklet and box and it wears nicely!
First photo is after using topical min only for 2 years, slowly losing the battle, then took a scalp photo each month after. Was scheduled for a HT back in March, but postponed it on account of being too close to my wedding in October. Been using the happy head Dut/Min for three months now since then, and I’m cautiously pleased with how it’s been going. No felt sides, and I think my mid scalp and bald spot is really beginning to fill in!
So I have my brand new (to me) 96k mile 996 at the shop to get its timing guides etc dealt with, after finding chunks in my filter after my first oil change (link here) and the shop just sent me some photos of the cylinder walls. On a scale of not too bad send it to your f@cked engine rebuild time what would you say I’m at?
