Needs bigger pot

Is this plant struggling with the pot size? Still struggling if it needs a bigger pot. It grows small leaves but they rarely grow bigger.

Cuttings still not growing well

I have these two cuttings that are more than a month old. They’re not from a very healthy mother (as you can see on the brown spots on the leaves). I dried them for a couple of weeks after cutting, then transferred to small plastic pots. I noticed the leaves didnt fatten and I suspected the soil mix was probably too hydrophobic.

So last week, I transferred them together to this clay pot and a better soil mix.

When do I expect the leaves to fatten/absorb water? The bigger one has a tiny root, but the smaller one still doesn’t have. They don’t seem to have root rot as the ends are fairly brown and dry.

I tried so hard to save the mother plant but it ended with death by root rot (didn’t realise the pot wasnt draining well) so desperate to save these babies!

Reviewer that wants his UNRELATED papers cited in our manuscript

We are trying to publish in Springer Nature. Previously, I've only had constructive and meaningful reviews. Now this reviewer #2 made a comment that we should cite more related work, then gave 7 links of his own work that are very much unrelated to anything in the manuscript. I find a reviewer like this incredible stupid and unprofessional. Of course I know who he is and I know he is still doing a PhD since all of the papers he linked are written by one person.

Since we want to publish in the journal, I picked on of his very general paper and just picked a very general point he made and cited one of his work.

During the second round of reviews, the other reviewer (the one who gave all constructive feedback) has approved all the changes. Now this mfckr of reviewer #2 wanted more works cited again and gave a link to his work. I am going to cite more related work, but I won't add any of his work this time.

MOST OF ALL, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE EDITORS IN THAT SPRINGER NATURE JOURNAL SINCE THEY LET THESE KINDS OF TOXIC REVIEWERS GIVE THESE KINDS OF COMMENTS. I would have thought a reputable journal would quality check their reviewers and the comments they give to the manuscript.

Anyway, I still want to publish with them but if this reviewer is going to throw me all his insecurities in the next round, I am bringing the paper somewhere else.

HAVE YOU TRIED, OR HEARD ANYONE SEND A COMPLAINT TO THE EDITOR FOR A TOXIC REVIEWER? I am seriously considering this.

Merci d'avance

Standard Architect Fee for a 53sqm house

Hello, for architects or those who recently built a house/availed an architect's service: how much is a standard fee for a 53sqm house in the province? Is an 800k budget for construction sufficient with today's costs, if not, how much is a realistic price or estimate per sqm?

No more DELF A2 exam slots in Paris

Hey everyone, I was about to book a slot for the July DELF A2 exam in Paris. I checked Alliance Francaise and Sorbonne, but both don't have slots anymore. (Is that normal???)

Does anybody know of any other places aside from Prosodia (do they only have the manual registration where you need to send the filled-out form)?

Thank you!

Document translation (certified vs self-translation+confirmation from another professional)

Hello, I am applying for a standard visitor visa from France. Is a certified translation really needed for the documents, or is it acceptable to have a friend sign off on the translation (where they can just put their profession, contact details, etc and the confirmation that the translation is correct.)

PS Didn't realise how expensive the UK visa + VFS fees are! crazy
