This is my complete list of the best Call of Duty maps using both my own opinion and the opinions of others that I have collected from over time with polls, tournaments, and personal conversations. This has been in the works since 2018 when DLC for CoD: WWII was still releasing, and this list has drastically changed since then.

I finally feel proud of the list and believe it archives Call of Duty's maps pretty well. There may be some concerns and questions that I am more than happy to answer, and to start off...

Why are some games like Call of Duty 1 and 2 or Call of Duty Mobile excluded from the list? I wanted to draw the line somewhere because I myself have never played the original 2 Call of Dutys and I felt that only maps that appeared on Xbox, Playstation, and PC simultaneously should be included so then it feels like a more comprehensive community list. This would exclude Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty 2, Finest Hour, Big Red One, Black Ops Declassified, Call of Duty Mobile, Call of Duty Online, amongst some others that I may have forgot to mention. There are also games that have console-exclusive maps, such as BO3's Back in Black DLC and all DLC maps for Call of Duty 3. These too have been excluded.

Where are the weather variant maps and why are some but not all remakes on the list? First, I dont care for weather variants. I feel that I have to draw that line so we dont have too many similar maps on the list, this excludes maps like Contraband Hurricane, Makin Day, or Arsenal Sandstorm. They're pointless and add no substance to the list other than to bulk it up even more. This also applies to most remakes/remasters. I believe the exceptions to this rule include thematic changes and ones that actually change the layout to some degree that is noticeable. This would mean maps such as Underpass in III and Studio in BO2 would be included, but Terminal in MW3 and Firing Range in 4 are not included. Again, theres so many remasters; I would hate to have 8 versions of Firing Range on the same list.

Why did you even make this? I don't know.

Is this ranking maps based on how they play in specific game modes, i.e. Search and Destroy? No, not really. I'm trying to consider all modes when making this list. Team Deathmatch does carry the most weight however since its by far the most played mode. To add to this, Faceoff, Gunfight, and Ground War exclusive maps have not been included.

How many of these maps have you actually played? I have played most of these online. If i had to throw out a number, there are probably 15 maps in here that I've never had the chance to play and most are MW3 DLC maps tbh.
