Something is eating my marigolds. I’ve never had this issue before. Any ideas of what’s eating it and how to stop it?

I thought slugs, so I threw them a little frat party w/ ground level pools of beer. I’ve sprinkled coffee grounds. And next up I’ve started collecting egg shells. I want to protect the pollinators so I’d prefer not to use chemicals. However I’m running out patients. 😭

Okay Aldi, I see you 😏🩷

Snagged the candle, left the vase behind, and grabbed the pack of stickers to add to my clipboard. 💜 They also had a canvas tote featuring a stack of books, of which one of them was P&P. I just couldn’t justify bringing home another tote when I don’t used the ones I already have 😂

That time wore my Swatch to “Dom’s house” and got distracted by his neighbors gorgeous front yard 😂

My friends: “OMG, it’s Dom’s house from Fast & Furious!”

Me: “OMG, do you see the size of these succulents?!” 😆

A Jane Austen-inspired bookstore? Be still my book-loving heart. 📚💕

What started as Austen’s Shelf, a Jane Austen-inspired mobile bookstore, has officially grown into a brick-and-mortar shop, and I could not be more excited about it.

I love seeing small businesses succeed, but a bookstore inspired by one of my favorite authors? That’s next-level. The shop is a few hours from me, and I’m already trying to justify the drive.

If you’re anywhere near the area, consider stopping by during their Grand Opening Weekend. Between supporting a small business and surrounding yourself with books and Jane Austen charm, it sounds like a pretty perfect outing to me. 💞

If only I was a size 7 🙄

Found a 1980s Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock at the Goodwill today. $7.50 😳😭

Catch and release.

Vintage 1980s Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock. It was size 7, which I am not. Soooo…. I left it behind even at $7.50 🫤

Opportunity doesn’t knock twice. Or does it? 🤔

Last month I walked out of T.J.Maxx without it & regretted it. Went back the following morning, but it was gone. Today at Marshalls however… ALL MINE! 🤩

Honestly, this is ridiculous. I hadn’t a clue it was such a big deal. To me it’s just another Swatch.

Cool to have, sure. Worth the price tag, not really. The inconvenience of waiting in a mob like line, absolutely not. And to think most of those folks are probably there just to resell at a profit. Sad🙄

My first bunny cake.

I was definitely more amused than my family was 😂

I’m halfway through Longbourn and really enjoying the different perspective as the storyline runs parallel to Pride and Prejudice in real time. I’ve often wondered what my own ancestors’ lives were like, and I never imagined them as the Fitzwilliam Darcy, Charles Bingley, or even the Bennet family—and certainly not Lady Catherine de Bourgh—but much more in line with the Hill family. I’ll never know the truth of it, but at least now I can imagine how the other half of Longbourn’s residents lived.
