Can elevated prolactin cause an increase in anxiety?

I’ve found out last year that my prolactin was elevated and did an MRI that maybe found a tiny tiny microadenoma. I’m still waiting for an endocrinologist consult. But I’ve noticed my anxiety has been worse since and even before getting these results so it’s not anxiety due to that issue. I tried to research this online a bit and it seems inconclusive as if whether or not elevated prolactin can raise anxiety? What was your experience?

Edit : I’ve had anxiety disorders for most of my life but it just seems like it increased considerably since about the time I found out about the elevated prolactin.

GERD/LPR worsened by Zoloft does it go away?

I’ve started Zoloft 25 mg a little over 3 weeks ago and it caused a major flare in my GERD/LPR symptoms. Yes I take it after breakfast with lots of water and never lay down after meals. Did anyone experience this and did it go away with the other side effects at some point? Thank you!

Obsessed with Taurus man why??

I’m an Aries woman with Cancer rising and I’m completely obsessed with Taurus men in general ☺️ Why?! There’s just something about their rigid personality and robustness that I find absolutely compelling. They always seem incredibly solid and comforting… like they could handle me. But not sure they’re into Aries and our intensity haha 😅 What do you guys think?

Anyone with panic disorder and ADHD?

I have panic disorder plus generalized anxiety disorder as well as ADHD. I’ve tried therapy for years for my panic disorder but nothing helped. I also tried different SSRI and SNRI over the years that have never really worked for me (too many side effects or not much help with anxiety). I’m interested if anyone here has panic disorder + ADHD and if so what medication or combination of medications has worked for you?

Can week 2 be worse than week 1 when starting Zoloft?

I’ve started Zoloft 25mg for extreme panic disorder about 10 days ago. The first week wasn’t too bad (I’m also on a low dose lorazepam to help) and side effects were minimal : some diarrhea/constipation, acid reflux that lasted a couple days, dry mouth, some stomach upset and light insomnia. I’ve noticed an increase in anxiety when week 2 started which surprised me… Did this happen to anyone else?

Anyone had issues with zoloft?

I just started Zoloft 25mg for anxiety and I’ve noticed an increase in my LPR symptoms (sore throat, cough, chest tightness, regurgitation). It’s a shame because for me LPR is directly caused by anxiety and I’m trying to get anxiety under control to avoid LPR… Does anyone had this experience with this medication? Is it a side effect that goes away?

Thanks!

Sore throat / GERD or LPR symptoms when starting?

I just started Zoloft 25 mg for panic disorder and generalized anxiety (I’m on day 2 only) and I’ve noticed a sore throat very similar to LPR or GERD about 8-10 hours after taking my first dose and it stayed on. I’m very sensitive to reflux and was recovering from esophagitis last year so I’m panicking a bit that this medication will cause this. Did anyone experience this? Is that a common side effect? Does it go away?

And yes I took it in the morning right after breakfast with a tall glass of water and haven’t laid down right after, I’m eating small non acidic meals, etc etc

Thanks!

Tight diaphragm pulling on chest?

(36yo/F) I’ve been having a particularly bad flare of my panic disorder for the past month and I have developed what I believe to be an overly tight diaphragm. I suspect this because I’ve had this in the past and it felt somewhat similar (hard to laugh, breathing feels off, etc) I always feel like there’s a tightness in my abdomen and chest and also often feel like something is pulling my chest/sternum downward plus also feel some ribs soreness that moves around. I’m also quite constipated (to be expected with severe anxious flare in my case). I’ve been to the ER twice and everything looks good (had ECG done, chest ultrasound, multiple tests, etc.) I’m feeling particularly uncomfortable when having a bowel movement not like I’m gonna faint but my HR goes up and I feel like it’s hard to breathe normally. It settles after however. I’ve also had to take lorazepam daily to function through this severe panic flare and it doesn’t seem to completely overturn my symptoms but I’m taking a low dose so that might be why.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone had any insights on this? Is anyone experiencing this? I’m trying to figure out if this can all be caused by severe anxiety.

Extreme panic disorder anyone?

I’ve been diagnosed with panic disorder for a little over a decade now. I’m 36 and it started when I was 24-25. At first, the panic was “typical” : it came unexpectedly, felt awful but lasted 15-20 min then came back down to my normal state. I actually felt better afterwards like I had survived something terrible and now everything was possible! Of course, that was always short lived. I tried different SSRI but none have ever worked for me and/or the side effects were intolerable. Over the years, I went through different phases with the panic - sometimes it was more manageable for a while and then sometimes I could barely get out of the house. I should also mention that I’ve been in therapy most of the time. I tried CBT, ACT, etc. and while it has helped a bit it never really had a significant impact on the disorder. Last year things took a toll. I experienced a burnout due to toxic work environment and that made my panic disorder just completely out of control. My tools weren’t working anymore. I could barely eat, lost 40 pounds, could only sit at home and watch TV, etc. I’ve been slowly recovering from that in the past six months but went on a trip recently that completely wrecked my panic disorder again. I had intense panic attacks all day long…Now I’m to the point where it’s impossible to function without daily dose or lorazepam. If I don’t take it I shake uncontrollably, hyperventilate to the point of having a syncope, etc. All the tools I’ve developed over the years are useless, my partner is unable to calm me as he used to, etc. I feel like I’m in hell and my body is completely disconnected from my brain. Doctors says I’m physically healthy, that there’s nothing wrong with me but that doesn’t even reassure me anymore… it’s like my body doesn’t believe it. I’m curious if anyone has experienced something similar and if they’d be willing to share what they did to get out of that. Thanks!

Shuttle/bus/train option from La Fouly or Champex to Chamonix?

Hi all! I have to shorten the end of my TMB this summer and need a transport option from La Fouly or Champex (or in between) to go back to Chamonix. I looked online with public transport options but it seems really complicated and long… Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!
