should i drop my chem class?

so i registered for a chem lab that starts at 8:00 am 😀 it’s on tuesday and i also have a hybrid sociology course that day, along with chem recitation at 5:00 that day.

it has 2 professors. one of them is rated really well, but the other has:

- two 5 star ratings

- one 3 star rating

- one 1 star rating

on rmp for my school. he’s also taught at some other schools too but the reviews for those are very mixed.. some ppl like him, others don’t. he seems average and some rated him only 1 or 2 stars.

the other only options i have are at 7:30 pm, on thursday. there is also a monday one at the same time. there is only one professor for each, the one who was rated very well.

both fit in my schedule, but i’m just scared because it’s so late. when i get home i feel like i wont have enough energy to do hw/study. for either the monday or thursday one, the next day i would have classes starting at 11.

if i stick with my tuesday 8 am, my final class on monday ends at 2:50, so id say i may have a decent amount of time to study/do hw and hopefully sleep early, that is if i dont take any naps during the day 💀

there are so many seats are open for these while no seats are left for my 8 am so if i switch i hope im not making a mistake!! any opinions? if you really stuck by to analyze everything you’re the best 😭

if you’re not certain that a school accepts sat superscores, does it hurt to still submit both sat scores

it’s an 80 point jump between the two scores i’m considering submitting 😭

the problem is that i can’t find any resources online that tell whether or not the school takes superscores 🥲 my superscore would be nice to submit as it’s 70 points higher than my greatest composite score..

the university needs official score reports so i’m considering sending in both for the chance that they superscore, but im just scared they don’t acc accept superscore and that sending both will hurt me

(the uni is thomas jefferson btw !!)

would i receive credit for leaving out the h>0 in the explanation for letter b

i got the answer to letter b right, but left out the “for h>0,” in the explanation shown in the second photo. i wanted to know if this still would still receive full credit

how many decimal places can i go out to?

when finding my lower and upper bounds for integrals, i’ve been rounding my bounds to 3 decimal places. then, i use the rounded bounds to integrate.

when doing so, my final answers have always resulted in the final answers on the scoring guidelines. however, i have heard that you should not round these decimals, and that you have to use the full decimal places for credit. i’ve heard you shouldn’t round partial answers and you should instead store them in your calculator so you can use them unrounded in further calculations. is this true?

furthermore, if it’s not ok to round: since a calculator only shows up to a certain number of decimal places for a value, how can i use the full number if it’s not being shown on the calculator?

is this an acceptable sentence when writing about mean value theorem?

is this an acceptable sentence when writing about mean value theorem? (ik MVT includes more info, but i’m asking about the beginning part for now):

”Since f is differentiable on (a,b), f is continuous on [a,b].”

asking because in past frqs, i feel like i remember seeing intervals included although in recent frqs i have not been seeing them. so, is it worth including intervals or should i leave them out?

furthermore, if i do include intervals, are the intervals for differentiability always open while the intervals for continuity are always closed?

domains for initial condition problems

are domain restrictions typically needed in your final answer for “solve the equation using the initial condition” questions for ap calc ab?

i’ve seen then in final answers for some questions in scoring guidelines and often have no idea where they come from + i’m not sure if it’s just extra info they’re including or if it’s really needed for full credit

is optimization likely to pop up on ap calc ab exam

i’ve did basically all of the released frqs and just realized i haven’t seen much optimization so i haven’t really been studying it 😭 how likely is it to pop up on frq for calc ab? how about mcq?

have i been scoring myself wrong

i’ve noticed scoring guidelines usually omit the inside of a function in certain explanations. however, i’ve been keeping the inside while still giving myself the points.

i’ll leave an example problem of what i mean in the photo. in letter b (towards the bottom) they wrote f rather than f(t). say in my explanation i wrote f(t) instead of f. would i lose the point?
