Uma Musume is teased literally all way back in 2016, but doesn't become mainstream until it's global release in 2025, 4 years later after the JP release.

I personally agree. Because we really didn't take pedophilia cases seriously, and in general is more than just some cheap easy way to get those sweet views and money.

For example we have Honey the Cat. Despite being appearing in Sonic and is also one of fan favourite, Honey isn't actually from Sonic The Hedgehog but rather from Fighting Vipers. I'm pretty sure nobody talked Fighting Vipers so thanks to her mysterious appearance in Sonic Fighters many people get to know more about Fighting Vipers.

Then we have Shimakaze from Kancolle/Kantai Collection, inspired by the real Destroyer Naval ship from WW2. Shimakaze is a well known Character from Kancolle due to her appearance. She's Quiet popular at the time Kancolle is booming outside of Japan back in 2013. However because of the context of Kancolle and it's gameplay, it is pretty much impossible to make Kancolle playable outside of Japan. Even despite Kancolle popularity decreasing, Shimakaze will always be remembered as one of the most recgonizable character in Kancolle.

Also fun fact believe it or not but there is a sub genre of anti woke Indonesian who are very anti Diversity. Fyi Diversity is a must in Indonesia, Otherwise you'll be discriminated for being Anti DEI.
