I log into Fiverr and I search or browse and apply the filters I want. Instead of seeing prices for the options that I clicked in the filter, I only see the prices for the lowest tiers that do not have what I want. Even if I put in my price range, Fiverr only shows me the lowest tiers that are in my price range instead of the sellers who are offering the features that I want in the price range I want.

Is there a way to search on Fiverr for the options I need in the price range I provide?

If not, are there other sites like Fiverr that are better?

My Google Pixel 8 Pro that was only 3 years old just died. Since it is out of warranty, Google support only offered to tell me where I could get it fixed at my expense even though the motherboard dying is a known issue. I'd rather avoid Google phones now because I feel I can't trust them.

ANYWAY... The thing I like most about the Pixel is that it screens my calls and takes nice pictures. I don't give a rip about fast GPU (I don't play games or install a lot of apps) and I really don't like AI features - I turn them all off. BUT I want my calls screened. AND I'd like my phone to last more than 3 years without dying.

Is the Google Pixel still the best phone for camera and call screening or are there better options that will last longer?

I'm looking for a phone in America, in the US.

At this time, in person classes are not an option for me. I've been watching Brandon Sanderson's lectures on YouTube, along with some other YouTube writing channels. Brandon's is the best IMHO.

I've also been seeing ads for online classes that you pay for. Some are quite expensive. Has anyone taken any of those? What do they offer that the YouTube versions do not?

* I get that instructor feed back comes with a cost. But other than that, do the paid classes offer anything over and above what the YouTube videos offer?

I'm writing a story about aliens taking place from the alien's POV. They only have one gender. The opening scene is two of these aliens talking on the bridge of their ship.

To name them, I used typical gender neutral human names (albeit not standard American names) one with an "Xz" in front and the other with an "Ss" in front to give them an alien vibe. The names are different lengths as well.

I have a very very very rough draft (not ready to post anywhere) that my husband read. His first comment was that he couldn't keep the non-standard names straight. The second was that he couldn't get in the character's head and couldn't tell who was giving the orders. (No one gave any orders, they are just talking)

I have 2 questions for science fiction readers:

1. If there are a couple of characters in front of a human name, even if the human name isn't something like John or Susie, do you have a hard time keeping them straight?
2. (generally) What kind of things help get you into the brain space of an alien vastly different from yourself?

ETA: Husband writes military fiction. He is good at it!

UPDATE: Apologies for the 'NB' - it should be 'single gender' (I had a huge brain fart!). Thank you everyone for pointing out books to read as I clearly have more research to do. I was hoping for more of a consensus on alien names but there seems to be a lot of opinions. That makes it tougher to decide. It is interesting writing from the alien's perspective but still trying to make it relatable to humans.

I created a small 8.5x11" zine for family. I'd like to get it printed so it looks nice but every printer I find online has bad reviews. They can't all be bad, right? I'm looking for a printer that will maybe do saddle stitch and full color with just a half dozen copies.

Where do you all get your printing done?

Lately when I select "Crop Image", the crop selection isn't limited to the image and if I unintentionally make the crop selection too large, a "generate" option appears where the crop was. I *never* want to generate. I want my crop selection limited to the image that I'm trying to crop. How do I do that?

Someone posted a pic of a German asparagus peeler on another subreddit. Why? Do people peel asparagus? How? Like you peel a carrot? How does that even work? Asparagus is so thin, there'd be nothing left. And it's already soft after you cook it. I've never heard of this before. Is it really a thing?

My mom loves fruit and lives in FL near Jacksonville. I live several states away and cannot visit over Mother's day & want to send a gift.

Are there any places that sell high quality fruit baskets that deliver to FL? She likes apples, strawberries, oranges, etc, basically all the standard stuff - but not exotic fruits. I'm looking at the gift basket places online and many have bad reviews. Seeing as the gift baskets are so pricey (like $10/per fruit), I'd like to make sure she receives a premium gift.

Anyone know where I can order a good gift basket?
