I went solo, well tried to anyway

I was ok with the long wait

I was ok when three groups who got there after me get seated before me, despite being told I was next before one of the groups then asking if I could wait for another table. I was ok with that.

My turn comes up after what feels like an eternity of waiting and the server wants to seat a lady who came in after me because they're friends, dude behind the counter had to argue with him to seat me first. She got seated right after me at another table anyway.

Server proceeds to ignore me, take her order and continue to talk to her while I'm sitting there waiting for a menu. Sever finally asks me if I've already ordered and I request a menu, dude brings one and goes back to flirting.

I eventually had to just get up and leave, no bowl of noodle soup can be worth this service.

TIL the rats vinyl art is called a Rat King, a natural, albeit extremely rare, phenomenon.

A rat king is a collection of rats (or mice) whose tails are intertwined and bound together in some way. This could be a result of an entangling material like hair, a sticky substance such as sap or gum, or the tails being tied together. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_king

Etymology fun fact! *Martin Luther stated: "finally, there is the Pope, the king of rats right at the top."*

Are all of their concerts way too hot?

I was in San Diego last night and wtf, I was sweating my booty off just standing around. I've been to the sound a bunch and it's never been that hot before.

Weird Al had a bit of Goodbye Sober Day by Mr Bungle during the finale last year in San Diego

No idea if this was mentioned before but I thought it was a cool nod to one of my favorite albums of all time, and apparently Al is a fan too.

Regional or niche hole in the wall places?

What are the best regional/ hole in the wall spots to eat? Places you go to get something you don't find anywhere else here?

Places like:

Faridas Somalian cuisine

African Jerk chicken and Thai coconut pancakes at the Hillcrest farmers market

Saatvik foods and a few other fully vegetarian Indian spots in Miramar(rip surati farsan)

Filipino food in national city like Titas or toto grill

Obviously Convoy

First time here, as a smashburger fanboy this was pretty good, love how thin they smash the burger so the edges actually get a nice and crispy skirt. The proud Mary is mustard grilled which was a nice touch but I need to go back to try the OG.

Much like the friendly, this would benefit from a pickle or something to cut through the richness(and apparently it was supposed to have pickles according to the online menu lol)

Good burger, would eat again
