Hi all!

This is my daughter tonight, every day, after and during every feed.

She is 6w old, was diagnosed with GERD in NICU and is on Pepcid 0.4ml twice a day. It has not seemed to help as it did her brother. Her brother was breastfed, had CMPA, I cut our dairy and he became much easier to soothe.

This girlie is on Kendamil organic and spits up infrequently, ALWAYS screams like this about milk. It used to not be as bad but this past week or so, this video is all day and all night. If she’s not asleep on us, she will not sleep laying in her cot, which we do not like. She originally would sleep in her cot for 3-4 hours at a time and then wake to feed, go back to bed. Something changed in this last week. Poops are regular daily but green and STINKY. She arches her back, flexes her legs constantly. I’m thinking of asking to change to hypoallergenic formulae tomorrow.

Anything else I should ask or note?

This is for those of you who remember Violet and my post about her. I got her ashes back, pawprints, and nose print. I will always miss her and think about her.

She’s our newest baby. 3 months old!

I did go to the OB ER after the fall, tailbone is broken. Not much you can do with it but let it heal.

I’m always hyper aware of my surroundings since I’m pregnant and have a LO already. I went to Home Depot over the weekend and saw a flock camera or 2. Then I look up where local flock cameras are and there are a ton at Home Depot in Hixson. https://dontgetflocked.com/

I know we all have our opinions on them but is it really necessary to have everyone under this much surveillance plus other methods?!

This was Violet. She was 3 months old or so. I want someone out there to know she was loved and we miss her.

Yesterday crushed my soul.

We saw a puppy on the side of a very busy highway. I could not just pass her as everyone else did. I could tell something was wrong but she was so sweet, innocent, and beautiful.

I took her to the emergency and found that both femurs were broken, hadn’t healed properly and also the left one was just shattered. Completely shattered. She never whimpered, never whined, just wouldn’t walk. Vet told me she may never walk, her quality of life would be poor, especially for a 3 month old puppy. She said it’s very likely someone tossed her out of their vehicle and left her to die.

I made the decision for her to cross the rainbow bridge in peace. I held her in my arms as she went peacefully. It tore me to shreds. I tried so hard to help her.

People are cruel. We do not deserve animals.

Edit: I just want to thank you for the outpouring of love for her. I think of her all of the time and we plan on planting some violets in our flowerbeds in honor of her. She was a kind, gentle, sweet soul who was broken before I found her. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made but I know she is running free, pain free, in a beautiful grassy field full of tennis balls and bones!

Ok, so I’ve been feeding princess every day for 3+ years. I love her. She is so happy outside. Our neighbor is a vet and he TNR’d her some time ago. She was clear and free of FIV/FeLV as well. I get to pet her, but only from the other side of the door. I have to prop it open a bit and then rub her back. I can touch her face sometimes but with a little swat afterwards (it’s super cute lol).

I’d love for her to be inside with us. I hate having to shut the door when we leave but she’s here. She won’t let anyone close to her but me and I am at a distance still. I’ve tried going out, sitting on the porch, churus, treats, food of all kinds. She has a wall up for sure.

How can I break thru to her? Even if it’s just to pet her in a trusting way, that would be great. I have 6 others inside, 1 boy and 5 girls. She would make a perfect addition if she wanted to be. Part of me thinks she is happy outdoors but we’re in the south, it’s hot as hell, humid as Satan’s balls and storms a lot in the summer. I just want to pamper her! Help!

Our sweet Kaly girl passed over the rainbow bridge a week ago. It’s been hard. We were in college when she happened upon us. Some guy came to our door and said “do you want a cat? I got a boy and a girl”.

My thought was to grab the girl so we could spay her and she wouldn’t have a lifetime of kittens. She then became one of our original 4 babies (kittens) we had from our college town. She loved us when we couldn’t afford hardly anything, ate spaghetti every night for 5+ nights in a row, moved across states, travelled, had kids, renovated 2x; she was there for all of it.

She passed away here at home with us both. Her older brother and sister travelled the rainbow bridge in November and now she is with them. Playing. Pain free. Care free. She can see clearly now.

We believe she *may* have had a stroke 2-3 years ago and her left eye began turning more black all over. She always had the worst skin, riddled with cysts. I stopped taking her to get them removed some time ago because they didn’t bother her, they were benign so why put her through the pain?

She was a sweet girl. She NEVER fought her kitty siblings, only missed the litter box when she had a UTI, and had a very positive, chill attitude about her.

Her name was Kaly and we called her “Mrs. Boobs” because she was a big girl, who had all of the moves 🥰
