Namma Mysurina KrishneByreGowda yaaru-Footpath encroachment matter

Footpath encroachment is a very serious issue in mysore.

If you see Nanjumalige area, all vendors are on footpath only.

No option but to walk on roads, which is unsafe.

At the same time, vendors ask for alternate arrangements, which MCC doesn't have probably.

So unless this alternate arrangements are done,no street vendor will stop encroaching footpaths....

Classic catch 22 situation.

For example vegetable vendors have Mg road, which is a dedicated space for selling goods.

It's safe and good for both buyers and sellers.

Not much public inconvenience is caused.

Maybe we need a strong politician who can seriously address this matter.

What's your grudgy LIC story

Like your dad/mom/friends/cousins etc repeatedly pestered you to get an LIC done

Either to meet their monthly targets or due to old age investment ideas(detached from Reality) or just because they severely pursued and manipulated you to invest in some dabba LIC policy

For example I feel LIC is mostly not useful in today's day and age

Returns are less than 4-5% (inflation is 7%)

So net net you're losing money

A bank FD gives 6.5% smth lmao

I've heard many people around me grudgingly invest in LIC although they never wanted to actually invest,

(Just bcuz mysore agents pursued them hard)

What's your story?

Stop the cap

Well a lot of people here sometimes try to sell their services/properties/Clothes/Items/Food etc

When a person asks how much is the price,

They say as per prevailing market rates.

Just stfu bruhh

Come to the point and tell what exactly you do charge.

Same with hiring also.

"We pay prevailing market rates to prospective employees/Interns"

Please mention what price is okay for you.

People will decide, whether your services/items are required at that price or not

Is it really so difficult to disclose the price?

Please do it and save others time.

Thanks for your time.

Humble request

If you're looking to buy/sell here,

Please confirm properly the person who's talking with you.

Try to meet them in person if possible.

For example if you're a seller in 2 minds whether you want to sell the property or not, waiting for higher valuation then what an agent can get you...

Or

If you're a buyer who's still not convinced about whether the location, price etc is correct

Please don't ask RE AGENTS to work for your deal, try to meet the owner, seller, find market valuation etc.

Generally asking on reddit is totally fine, but if you seriously want someone to work on a property to buy/sell/lease/rent etc, please respect the RE agents efforts and time.

A seller might inform 10 different RE agents at once.

Then after the property is sold, they will not inform the agents that the transaction is closed.

Or if a agent brings a buyer to discuss a potential deal, the seller ghosts the RE agents/buyer completely.

These are very bad practices.

Request to please share feedback on RE deals with your RE agents either offline/online asap.

I believed somebody from this sub and worked on a deal. The buyer has come and now the seller is not responding or ghosted me completely.

The buyer now is dissappointed with me that I found a unresponsive seller and tried to sell his property to him(potential buyer)

I'm not disappointed by the decision of the seller (whether to hold or sell)

I'm disappointed by their complete lack of response altogether.

It's like from next time I meet somebody from reddit for an RE deal,I'll start doubting them unnecessarily due to trust deficit caused by this bad incident.

I hope this is a one off case, and hope to meet nice people from this subreddit in future.

Scammy RE people exist who do get a lot of hate from general public, while there are sincere ones also who work hard to get deals done and make both buyers, sellers happy and satisfied.

Request you to be careful and mindful of sincere RE people in future and respect their time and effort by providing timely feedback.

If you're in a dilemma to sell your property, please don't contact and then ghost brokers/agents

It's a request to everyone.

So if you're trying to sell a property and then if you're in 2 minds, whether to sell or keep the property for a few more years, pass it down to your children etc,

request you to not contact brokers/agents in general.

Firmly make up your mind and then only contact them🙏

One person contacted me on Reddit and asked me to find a buyer for her property.

It has a few complications.

Despite all of that,i found a buyer who's willing to buy it at owner's quoted price.(It's unfortunately very high priced btw)

Today the buyer has come to our city to see it,and the owner has kind of ghosted me/ignoring me altogether.

I'm asking her to pick up the phone or atleast reply in text, whether she's will to sell/meet the buyer etc

I've even asked her if today is not okay, and if some other day/timings is required, that's also okay,I'll communicate the same to buyer also.

But she's bilkul not picking the phone/replying to texts and not informing me of her availability.

The buyer is now continuously following up with me and I have no answer as to when I can make both of them meet.

Buyer is telling me,why did you even find me such useless owners in the first place.

You should've found some genuine seller, isn't it?

I believed her(this seller) and now I feel like kicking myself in the foot for believing her.

This seller contacted me atleast 5 times to get a quote from me for the property (old house)

And all of a sudden, she ghosted me(without any rhyme or reason)

It's extremely irritating tbh.

Hope that no RE agents/broker/firm goes through such owners in general.

Please avoid such owners at all costs.

RE agents/brokers etc sometimes put sincere efforts to get buyers/sellers across the table.

When we come across such insensitive owners,we feel our whole time, efforts are wasted.

Wish people started respecting RE agents time, efforts more and behave more sensibly overall.

What's with the hate against Non-Coorgis?

I've seen some enquiries earlier in the sub,and even I did one yesterday.

Enquiries were regarding land requirement for growing coffee specifically.

Some people hating on Non-Coorgis for no reason.

Hate was that outsiders are rushing to buy farmlands in Coorg to build resort, homestays etc.

Not everyone has the same idea and some want to do genuine farming too.

Just so you know,I'm not any outsider as such and I'm a Kannadiga myself.

But if you are suggesting that the definition of an outsider is a non-Coorg resident,Non-Kodava speaking person, then yeah I'm an outsider probably.

(I can't speak Kodava, since I never lived in Coorg region to begin with)

Btw,Many Coorgis have bought prime location sites/house etc in many places of Bangalore/Mysore/Mangalore etc(For example if prevailing rate is 12k,I've seen rich Coorgis buy them for 13 k or more, already inflating the inflated RE of these cities)

We just consider them as affluent people and move on.

But again,we kannadigas have never spoken bad about them and respect them, just like other kannadigas, tulu, marathi speaking people in our state.

Recently came to know that a lot of Andhra people, other non Kodava speaking people have bought huge chunks of land in Coorg, and some local people are pissed.

If such unity existed among Kodava people in the first place, why were these land purchases even allowed in the first place?

Why no hate against local Coorgis who sold their land at inflated prices to outsiders?

Does that mean, the hate exists only as long as the right price for your farmland comes?

These so called non-kodava people are already building resorts and stuff, why no opposition to that?

Stop with the blind hate.

If people want to genuinely to do farming, and you can help them, please help otherwise y'all can keep quite and let kind people help us.

Many members of my family have a lot of Kodava friends, and one of my best friends is a Kodava too.

We've never considered them as outsiders in our city and always have helped them with RE and other things.

Also I have a lot of respect for some Kodava traditions after my friend explained me their importance, significance etc.

Hope y'all got the point and start being kinder and not so judgemental and hypocritical too.

Peace out.
