Anyone else fed up?

I’ve been a big fan of SDJ for years but lately I’m getting so fed up. Constant limited edition releases, poor quality and longevity, exclusivity to certain stores and websites which means I (as a European) am not able to purchase.

Am I the only one who’s getting a bit fed up?

I hate lotion

Does anyone else hate lotion? I love using different body washes, body mists, perfumes etc but no matter how many times I try it, I can’t cope with lotion.

I’ve tried so many different lotions but all of them leave a weird feeling on my skin that makes me feel suffocated or claustrophobic.

Any advice please 🥺

Never knew I needed this

So I’ve been a big fan of body mists and perfumes for a few years, without going to deep fragrance helped me come out of a deep depression. Having something that smells nice and comforting made me get up and shower when I didn’t want to, made me look after myself more so then I could ‘treat’ myself by applying fragrance after my body care routine.

Anyway, I’ve found unfortunately that I hate the majority of perfumes after they dry down, they always dry down very woody or masculine on my skin so out of lots of samples I’ve tried I only have a handful of perfumes. I prefer body mists as I find they don’t have that woody/masculine dry down but I always hated how much I’d have to reapply it…until now.

I love the perfumes and body mists I have but none made me say WOW accept for sdj 62 but like I said, sdj 62 doesn’t last long on me.

I just got a small bottle of Phlur dragon fruit and a sample of Phlur cashmere skin. Immediately I said wow when smelling these. I’ve been looking for a clean girl, fresh, comforting scent. Something fruity for the summer and then something cosy for the fall. I already have Phlur vanilla skin mist which I love but it’s slightly spicy for me and more of a winter scent.

So, I put dragonfruit on one arm and cashmere skin on the other, it’s been 6 hours and I can still smell it. Phlur is the only brand of body mists I’ve found which lasts so long and I own a lot of body mists. Has anyone else noticed this? Who else loves dragon fruit and cashmere skin?

I’ll be wearing dragonfruit until fall and I’m so excited for the cold fall nights to come along so I can drench myself in cashmere skin 😍

Anyone else’s tripod do this?

My 12 year old tripod always twitches a lot when he’s in a deep sleep. Does anyone else’s tripod do this?

Phlur vanilla skin dupe?

I have the Phlur vanilla skin body mist and absolutely love it and want to get the edp but it’s just a bit too much out of my price range. Are there any good dupes for vanilla skin?

I’m shaking with anger

E is on live now after purchasing ANOTHER perfume. Surely after buying the Pokemon cards and now this perfume, the 1k they won must be mostly if not all gone already.

Yet poor birkin/mew is stuck in a hell hole, no veterinary care, no spaying, no stimulation, no love. If I could go and rescue that cat I would.

I have my 3 legged cat who’s my best friend cuddled up to me right now and I would genuinely die for him, he is my whole world. Why can’t E even give 1 ounce of love to the poor baby 💔

What I’m even more disgusted with is the amount of people gifting E on live right now and knowing that none of that money will go to anything useful or necessary.

I have nothing

I’m 29F and was diagnosed with autism last year. It came as a shock and I was not expecting it in the slightest. I’ve always known I was different but didn’t know why.

I’ve worked from the ages of 16-28 swapping between full time hours and then going down to part time hours when it all got too much.

Last year I hit my breaking point, I’m helping to take care of my terminally ill mother who has Huntingtons disease. I am also 50% at risk of developing this disease in my 30s-40s but I’ve decided to not be tested at this time.

I have eds type 3, fibromyalgia and me/cfs. All of this together meant I had to leave work completely around 4 months after I was diagnosed last year.

I’ve spent the last several months in my house, hardly going outside and feeling like a complete failure. I attempted to go to a local social group for other autistic adults but got too scared and backed out. Majority of the time I’m in too much pain or too tired to go out of the house.

I’ve been trying to keep myself entertained by doing puzzles, watching films, reading, gaming, listening to music but I’m finding all of that unbelievably boring now.

I just want to be able to work 😭 everyday I’m watching my mum die from what I might get in the future. I’m so depressed and embarrassed of what my life has become.

I’m lucky that even though due to my mums disease it makes it impossible for me to have a relationship with her, I have my dad who’s my best friend and also 2 dogs and a cat who are my world. They’re the only things keeping me here.

Has anyone else felt this hopeless? I just want to be normal.

Uneven smile?

Hi all, I finished my Invisalign today and am so so happy with my teeth. I will post the proper photos my dentist took as soon as they get sent to me but does anyone else have an uneven smile like this where the bottom teeth show slightly on one side? I only just noticed it today after getting all of attachments off etc

u/Realistic-Door-1875 — 2 months ago

I made a mistake

So I’m having my final Invisalign appointment tomorrow to get my attachments off and a rescan of my teeth for the retainers. I’m finishing slightly early because I’m Invisalign has been extremely hard for me. I’m autistic and my sensory issues have been horrible. For years I’ve always drank an iced coffee with milk and syrup for around 4-5 hours over the day. I’ve still been doing that whilst on Invisalign even though I know I shouldn’t. I’ve always had a very strict routine and breaking it has been impossible. My mental health has also been very bad which hasn’t helped. I’m worried now that I’ve caused permanent damage to my enamel. I can’t see any cavities or problems thankfully but I’m worried that the damage might be done even though I can’t see it.

I’m not looking for sympathy as I know it’s my own fault so please don’t leave any nasty comments. I’m just wanting to know if anyone else continued to drink sugary drinks whilst they had their Invisalign and did you have any issues? Thank you.

New oura ring not tracking steps

Hi all, my first oura ring arrived today and I bought the gen 5. I’m mainly using it to track my cycle and sleep but was also interested in tracking steps. I’m disabled so I can’t walk very far but I did a couple minutes of walking around my house, made sure my arm was down swinging at my side and the app is still saying 0 steps. Is this normal? Thank you

EDIT: I reached out to support who said that it could be my connection but I have full signal high speed WiFi so that’s not the issue. They said to leave it for a day and see if it starts working but just curious if anyone else had this problem

Mamelon removal?

Hi all, I finish treatment on the 30th and my orthodontist said she will be removing my attachments, doing a rescan for my vivera retainers and will also do some smoothing of the edges of the teeth if I wanted it. Because I’ve had an open bite my whole life the bumps (mamelons) on the bottom of my teeth never wore away like they should have done. I asked if she could remove them completely and she said she will remove as much as possible but without there being any risk of doing permanent damage to the enamel so she couldn’t promise she’d remove the bumps completely. Did anyone else have this done at the beginning or end of treatment?

Will it work with sweaty hands?

I have hyperhidrosis which means I get extremely sweaty hands. I’m looking into buying an oura ring but can I still use it?

Confused about cleaning vivera retainers

Hi all, I’m finishing my treatment in a couple of weeks and will be given 3 sets of vivera retainers. I’ve been doing some research and have seen it’s best to rotate between the 3 retainers instead of wearing just 1 until it gets loose or broken etc and then switching to another one. But how often should I rotate them?

I’ve also come across a few posts saying the viveras should be kept in water all of the time whilst not using. Not really sure how to do this when I’m rotating between all 3.

I will ask my ortho what she suggests at my next appointment but any advice in the mean time is appreciated ☺️

Quitting Tray 36/50

I’ve decided I’m going to quit. I’ll preface this by saying that I’m autistic and Invisalign has been a sensory nightmare for me. Everyday is a struggle and it’s all I think about.

My overjet has closed from 12mm down to 2mm and my ortho said that all of my teeth except for my top molars are done moving.

Last appointment my ortho said she planned on doing a rescan and refinements and my next appointment. The problem is I had to have 2 upper premolar extractions to close my overjet and during treatment as my teeth have moved it’s caused one of my molars to tilt causing my bite to be off. I had a metal power arm placed there to try and correct it but I couldn’t cope with it so had my ortho remove it. My ortho said she will do what she can with trays to try and tilt the tooth back straight but there are no guarantees and it could be a large amount of trays.

Visually I’m extremely happy with my teeth. I can definitely feel my bite is slightly off and I do have a bit of a gap between the 2 back molars but overall it’s a million times better than it was.

Due to personal circumstances I’ve been struggling with my autism more lately and the sensory issues are continuing to get worse. It’s nothing I can change, the only thing that’s get rid of the sensory is completely taking the trays out which obviously is not an option.

I’m aware I’ll still need to wear retainers full time for around 6 months which I’m dreading but am willing to put myself through to get my teeth to stay how they are.

Sorry for the long post, I’m just really struggling and looking for guidance or reassurance or if anyone else has been through the same thing. I feel like I need to put my mental health first considering I’m also coping with my mum being terminally ill but I’m also worried I’ll regret quitting early in the future. Thank you.

F/29/5’6 [200lbs > 158lbs = -42lbs] (36 months)

I have chronic health issues which means it’s almost impossible for me to exercise but I spent years depressed and comforted myself with food. Gradually over the last 3 years I’ve lost over 40lbs just from changing my eating habits. My bmi still says I’m overweight but I’m really happy with where I’m at now. Do you think I need to lose a bit more?

▲ 2 r/ARFID

Arfid as a pescatarian TRIGGER WARNING

Hi all, I’m 29 and was diagnosed with autism last year. I studied animal care at college and after watching videos on slaughter houses etc it completely put me off meat. I’ve been pescatarian (I eat fish but not meat) since I was 17/18.

I haven’t been formally diagnosed with arfid but since being diagnosed with autism I strongly believe I have it. My diet has always been extremely restricted due to texture sensitivity. As time has gone on my diet has become more and more restricted. I now eat the same 2 meals in rotation, those 2 meals are not healthy and have caused me to gain some weight.

I’m thinking about starting to add meat back into my diet so I can broaden my meals slightly. The problem is my special interest with autism is animals and I’ve always been a huge animal lover. The thought of eating meat again makes me so feel guilty and unfair.

I have many health issues including me/cfs, Eds type 3, fibromyalgia, pots etc and I constantly feel so weak and drained.

What would you do in my situation? Any advice is appreciated ❤️

Tray 1/50 vs Tray 32/50

Both photos are of me biting down. Started with a 12mm overjet which is now down to 2mm. I’m so so happy and eating is so much easier and more enjoyable now. Still got a few trays to go to move my molars into place but my ortho said my front teeth are now officially all in place ☺️
