Chekov's Earring

How long did it take you to recognize that Vin's earring was a spike? Personally, I didn't realize it until the very end (I didn't even bat an eye at Spook getting literally impaled either), but rereading through it, it seems ridiculously obvious. That's honestly my favorite part of all of Sanderson's books is the absolute armory of Chekov's guns, which get fired way later in the series when you've all but forgot about them.

Does Wax and Wayne Add To Wind and Truth More?

I recently finished Rhythm of War, and I absolutely love Stormlight and the Cosmere as a whole. However, I was kind of disappointed that Mistborn only has a very faint impact on Stormlight; The only thing I can think of is Sazed's letter. Now I get that they're like 300 years apart, but Wax and Wayne is supposed to be at the same time as Wind and Truth. Are there more direct references between books regarding the Ghostbloods and Thaidekar?

Why Does John Work To Clear The Hotel Instead Of Just Hunkering Down?

In the third movie, when the high table attacks, John, alongside the hotel staff engage them throughout the hotel. This feels pretty stupid. First of all, they know the hotel way better than the high table. They would be able to hide and ambush them. Second, by moving out and fighting in close quarters, they're forced to use smaller weapons instead of something with more firepower. I get the real reason (Keanu Reeves fight scene), but is there any realistic reason to do this?

Does This Game Have A Story?

I saw this game a while back and it intrigued me. I don't care much for the actual rougelite gameplay, but there seemed to be hints of a larger story. Does it actually have a deep enough story to warrant playing it?

Are Hoid's Stories Better With Or Without The Dialogue?

Basically, I'm going on a trip, and I wanted to bring the Girl Who Looked Up, and The Dog and the Dragon, as campfire stories. In your opinion, is it better to tell them with or without the surrounding context of the chapter? On one hand, they'll probably flow better without Kaladin and Shallon interrupting. On the other hand, some of the best parts aren't in the actual stories, but in Hoid's comments. For example: "This is a fork." "But it is better for its association with you." "I promise, you will be warm again."

I Love Hoid's Chapters So Much

The chapters where Hoid comforts Shallon and Kaladin (Ch. >!87!< of Oathbringer, and Ch. >!80!< of RoW) are probably my favorite parts of Stormlight. Hoid somehow manages to simultaneously be a comedic relief, and casually drop some of the most amazing wisdom for life. I love how it never feels like his jokes are out of place or in bad timing. He also seems to genuinely care for them. Not to mention, the way they're written just flows like butter (Although that can kinda be said about Sanderson in general, but I digress).

I started playing Chapter 5, and all the guardians are gathered in Trinity. The Cruel King is also there as a ghost. He walks past you and says something along the lines of, "I can't believe they'd trust someone like you." I was under the impression that we made amends with him in Nirvana, so why is he back to hating you?
