What’s something that pool owners often don’t understand, don’t do often enough, or don’t do well?

How about a shoutout for some of your favorite local items that are way better than you would expect / a great deal for the price.

I start because I am really digging on the poke tuna you can find in the deli section at Winco of all places.

If you’re on extended vacation - say a couple weeks or more - how do you maintain your pool so you don’t come back to a mess? Do you hire someone? Train a family member? Other handy tricks?

Anyone had good luck with purchasing a timer for the filter? The one on my filter died, and the outlet timer I bought off Amazon died after a year. Curious if anyone has found a brand or product with more longevity.

Just feels like a distinctly Oregon thing to have happen. But also, how rude.

Anyone else suffering from this outage? They got rid of the outage map on their website and they’re horrible at updates.

Over 20+ years ago, I took a trip from LA to San Jose. I specifically remember the stretch between I-5 and San Jose that had these gorgeous lush green hills. Which highway is that? And does it dry out a lot in the summer/early fall or is it still pretty green?

I do have one very specific movie in mind, but I’m so excited to see what everyone else guesses as we relive our childhood traumas.
