Having some family fly in to Portland for the first time this October and were staying on the coast for about a week in the middle of October. What are some activities we can do together? Mix of old/young family members so all activities suggestions welcome

Im looking for people who would be interested in a semi-organized community basketball league at Alberta Park.

Would love to get a group of people together to start playing pickup games a couple times a week and hopefully grow numbers into something more organized. Id like to start doing this with the intention of a structured community league in the future while also having some effort into taking care of the park starting in the center with the basketball court. Has anybody bought the Cloup cap hoodies from Portland Gear? They are $120 and look like good quality and claim to be water resistant. I work outdoors at the shipyards so i may consider buying a couple for work as long as the quality is good and will last long.

Also looking for recommendations for other local brands that make quality products that last long. Danner is one i always champion, i love their work boots and are the only brand ill wear nowadays m.

Im in town for work and have a free day Saturday. Any recommendations on kayak rentals? Or if someone is is inclined just to let me come kayaking with them?
