All new Exporters need practical learning. But here is the truth you need to know. If port visit is considered practical learning, then you have been sold a lie.

In my years of work as an exporter and an export import consultant i have spoken and mentored many individuals including students, professionals (wanting to switch their career), traders, farmers who all want to start their export import business.

The first thing they say is i need practical training. Yes, this makes sense and we all know that theory is just for passing examination and practical is for actual execution. But what is practical exposure in export import. In real it is a term which has been mostly misunderstood.

Many coaches or online trainers have used "PORT VISIT Included" for Marketing their online theoretical group classes. Where one day of the 2-3 days they hire a bus and take the members to a nearby port and show them the landscape.

This is a container yard, this is CFS, this is where the container gets loaded to the vessel etc etc etc.....Not sure what learning the members will get out of this. In real it is a picnic not a knowledge session.

I would consider a port visit completely useless on understanding export import.....

Let me tell you a hard truth... An exporter need not be in the port while the custom clearance happens, the loading takes place...... In fact, you are not allowed to go inside the port since these are all restricted areas.. Only licensed CHAs are allowed inside and those are the ones who handle your shipment. Hence they are paid in the process. That is why a CHA exists. He is an expert, he is the one who understands how to clear and what time to plan.

As new exporters, don't get sold for an online lie of "PORT VISIT"......

Now the key question - What is practical understanding in export import.?

Get to know the documents in real. Why does a commercial invoice, proforma invoice, packing list exists, what fields does it have., how to fill it. what details do you need...

How does a actual shipping bill look like... What are its uses...Where is it used.....How does a real Bill Of Lading work...What fields are in it....

Whom to contact for freight booking - container, air cargo...How can i trust them ,...Will they do a good job in operation and pricing.

How to plan my cargo from factory to port or airport....

How can i get a verified CHA who will take responsibility of my shipment and will give me fair pricing....

Who are my supplier....How can i trust him....Is the price right and fair as per market....What will be my margin....

Know the product in & out....the specs, varieties, packing standards, shelf life, storage, transportation, seasonality, demand, pricing etc etc....

All these above are practical learning as per me...

Don't get sold to the "PORT VISIT" marketing gimmick.

If this makes sense and if you are interested and serious, you can reach out to me in DM.

I provide all ready to use real documents and templates, verified industry contacts and practical roadmap for your to start your export shipment. The guarantee of you getting all the resources and materials needed to be a ready operational exporter.

If there are any questions, reach out or write down in the comments.

Serious Entrepreneurs / Investors Exploring a ₹1–2 Cr+ Manufacturing-to-Export Business

We are opening a limited number of discussions with serious entrepreneurs, HNIs and business professionals who are looking to invest in and build an export-oriented manufacturing business in India.

Please note this is not an export course, franchise, or generic business consultation.

We work as export business consultants, helping clients understand the product, the industry and the opportunity and set up the manufacturing/export operation, and take the project to an operational stage where the business can be managed and scaled by the owner/team.

We have project focused on producing top demand raw materials for the following sectors:

  • Cosmetics & personal care
  • Nutraceuticals
  • Pharma
  • Food

Typical project investments can start around ₹1–2 crore, with larger investments possible depending on the product, manufacturing capacity, regulatory requirements and market opportunity.

The engagement can cover the journey from business concept to manufacturing setup to export readiness to operational handover.

The objective is simple:

Build a real business that can manufacture, export and operate — not just prepare a project report.

This is specifically for people who:

  • Have the financial capacity to invest
  • Are seriously considering entering manufacturing/export
  • Want to build a business rather than simply buy an investment product
  • Are looking for professional guidance to reduce the learning curve and execution risk
  • Are open to investing ₹1–2 Cr, depending on the project

I work in the export ecosystem and have been involved in building and advising export businesses across perishables, spices, processed food and consumer products, while working with entrepreneurs and HNI-level clients exploring export opportunities.

If you are seriously exploring this, DM me with a brief introduction about yourself, your background and the kind of investment/business you are considering.

I can then set up a one-on-one discussion to understand what you're looking to build and whether there is a suitable opportunity to work together.

Appreciate your time.

New Exporters! If you are setting up an export business and want to become an exporter, here is the truth.

Stop asking for buyers or importers! No one can provide you buyers and will one will. This is the brutal truth.

No coaches, exporters, businessmen will be able to give you buyers. If someone says they will give you buyer or a database or list, they are lying to you and possibly a scam. This is because

  1. Nobody is going to share their buyer with you.

  2. Even if they do promise you a buyer list it will be a generic list of email (info@company.com or admin@company.com) & phone no. (generic reception/board number). With these details you will not be able to crack a deal. All your emails will go to junk and calls will not be answered by the right decision maker.

The biggest mistake that new exporters do is look for buyers even before they have a product finalized, company setup, get all the documents, understood the process and have every knowledge on how to execute a shipment (logistics & clearance).

Lets say by your luck (one in a thousand) you get a response from a buyer and he asks for product quotation and pricing, you will not be in a position to reply and get the business since you don't have any setup or know the process. By the time you have setup and understand every process and have all the documents, your potential buyer had moved on with others. He is not looking for an amateur exporter instead he needs professionalism and experience.

Once you are ready with the setup and all the process, buyer finding is seamless and importers will gain the trust and will be immediately ready to work with you.

If this makes sense, the bottom line is to be ready with all the knowledge on product, process, documentation and the entire process before you actively start looking for buyers.

Based on my years of experience, this is the real scenario and situation with new exporters and success is when we realise this and get ready with the right foundation.

Dm if you are serious and want to join the export community and get access to the right guidance based on real life experience.

Comment if you have any questions.

Midhaven played at Wacken Metal Battle today.

Representing India at the metal holy ground was Midhaven with a fresh Indian classical metal sound.

They seemed tight and sounded great. Can we make the top 5 this time out of the 31 bands from 31 countries.

A band named Novelization (Netherlands) were fantastic today imo.

Also a band from Japan named Given by the flames. Powerful they were....

Did you watch them live? Thoughts?

A career no one talks about. One the world can't function without.

Think about careers, we usually think of software, finance, marketing or medicine.

But there is one field no one's talking about.

it is International Trade. A world of export import.

Behind every shipment are real people.....not just business owners, but professionals handling international sales, logistics, export documentation, customs, procurement, compliance and supply chains.

I stumbled into this industry years ago and honestly, I wish someone had told me about it when I was in college.

If you're someone who's wondering what's next after college, or looking for a career that's different from the usual options, spend a little time understanding international trade.

Has anyone here considered International Trade as a career? Or is this the first time you're hearing about it?

No, It's not only running a export import company or operating logistics or freight forwarding company... There are different roles inside the huge shipping, logistics and maritime industry...

Someone interested in building a seafood business in Bengaluru - This will be side business/project - Great potential - Tried and Tested. If you can bring some skin in the game

We have built, branded and run and have a clear roadmap. It is a unique model with great potential. Not supply to restaurants, wholesale trading etc.

Potential collaborators.

We have:

* A working business model * Standard operating process * Supplier network - Our own boat connects in the coast * Branding & packaging plan * Menu and pricing worked out * Franchise roadmap * Marketing ideas * Equipment list and setup plan

We even operated it for a while. We paused not because the model didn't work, but because scaling required budget than we could commit at the time.

The opportunity is still there. The biggest advantage is that its a lean, low investment side business with a clear roadmap already in place.....I'm looking for people who are genuinely interested in exploring this with us—not investors, but people who want to build and operate the business.

if this interests you, DM me. Happy to share more details and discuss if we can sync on common ground and thoughts.

PS: It is a side project at this point with a clear roadmap......This is not a scheme or a vague business pitch. Real ground level operation.

Someone who have run a business or have good idea of the reality and ready to put some good effort is an ideal fit.

Free Export Session this Sunday (26th July) – No theory. Just how exports actually work. Real life & market scenarios

Hey everyone,

A lot of people reached out after I commented on a post here saying I'd be happy to share what I've learned from exports. Instead of replying one by one I thought I should put together a small community and host meeting there.

A little about me.

I've been involved in building export businesses from the ground up. I've worked across perishables, spices, processed food and consumer goods. I've also helped businesses plan and execute their export shipments, from documentation and logistics to actually getting products out of the country.

I'm not saying I know everything. But I know enough to help someone avoid months of confusion.

This session is for people who genuinely want to understand exports from the ground level.

Not theory.

Not motivational talk.... the discussion will be based on reality of export import.

Bring your questions. Ask anything. We will try to cover everything......

I'm hosting the session this Sunday at 10:30 AM July 26th.

One thing though...

If your first question is "Will you give me buyers?" then this session is probably not for you.

If you think this is just another recorded course or an upsell then this isn't for you either.

This is for people who are willing to learn, ask questions, and put in honest effort.

If this resonates with you, you're most welcome to join.

Community Registration:
https://academy.exportheroes.in/l/4aef850057

Hope to see a few of you on Sunday. Let's keep it practical and real.

Also, Any sector experts (freight forwarders, CHA, CA etc) who would like to join and contribute. Please do. It would be great...

Lets do it!

The Goal: To be a better singer by Jan 1, 2027. Genre: Rock & Grunge (acoustics/unplugged).

I play acoustic guitar. i'm comfortable with the instrument. But singing is something i think im not good at and majorly have not been confident. When i listen to my recording i don't like it. I think i have more nasal voice and the range is not at all good and go off key.

Been mostly self taught. I believe an instrument when you spend time with it you get comfortable with it and eventually master it. But not singing - you need direction on methods & techniques.

My biggest short term goal is to get better and sound good singing so that im confident to sing anywhere. I love rock and grunge songs.

I have made up my mind to start the vocal journey and have been doing breathing exercises from past 25 days daily without miss. Mostly inhale with mouth (diaphragm breathing) and exhale via nose (5 mins) and exhale hiss (10 mins)....

The next step i m thinking is to sing with scales la la and lip roll and things..... I use the app called SWIFT SCALES.

these are largely roadmap i have got from information in the internet.

Would love to hear from you all. Advise, Direction - Things to avoid, things to do....etc.

I have 5 more months to get better.....to sing....alice in chains, audioslave, metallica, Staind and what not...

Appreciate it..

A random song plays in a radio. How long does it take to you figure of the key and the chord progressions?

Figuring out the key of the song is a superpower in guitar i would imagine. If there is a new song you haven't heard, do you figure out yourself or look at the chord chart.

If you figure out the key on your own what is the approach you follow.

Also, how do you figure out the chord progressions in the song?
