It's been a rough month. Was let go earlier this month and wasn't able to make rent. On the notice to vacate (N4), it says I have 14 days to make rent. What can I do in this scenario? I tried asking my landlord if he could give me some time but he isn't willing to budge. Can I fight this somehow? This is in Toronto.
Every time he doesn't have any, he punches walls and breaks stuff and sometimes even talks to people that aren't there. But when he gets weed, he's normal. But isn't weed a psychostimulant?
How do they get a better life? Assume someone is completely broke, and does not have an income. Are there resources for these people? I've heard homeless shelters in Toronto are a nightmare. Also, do their stuff like passports get stolen at homeless shelters and such?
Doctor spent 2 hours with my sibling writing out the DPP. It was submitted 2 days ago. Are there any stories of people getting approved a lot sooner than 6 months, especially for schizophrenia?

Brother is a 24 year old schizophrenic. He physically assaulted my dad and me today. He needs to leave. My dad does not want him to have a criminal record. How does one get a form 2? This has been going on for months now.
Living with him is unbearable. He smokes everyday, weed and cigarettes in the living room. He punches walls and breaks them from time to time. He gets physical if my dad tells him to behave properly and to not smoke inside. He does not pay rent nor does he pay any bill. My dad is the lease holder. He doesn't care about others. He does utter threats occasionally. My dad wants him out as he lives in the living room and doesn't let anyone else there. We live in an apartment and half of the apartment is his; according to him. What is the best way to remove him without him having criminal record. Any advice? How do you make it so he can't come back either.
We tried helping him but he doesn't really care about his meds. We took him to a psychiatrist 3 times now.
psychiatrist said he'll help fill out the form. But I'm not sure how this stuff works. Can you also get denied even if it affects your daily life? Constant hallucinations, memory impairment, verbally and physically violent, unable to stay on a topic for long ect... How long will everything take from the day the doctor fills it out? I ask for my brother who is 24 and unemployed.
This person is my older brother who's 25. I feel like this person drains me of my mental energy. Every time, I think about him, I always feel angry and some anxiety and end up spending so much of my day on this emotion. He lives in the living room but is a complete freeloader so avoiding him is kinda impossible. Dude always smells like weed or cigarettes, unemployed and on welfare. Dad doesn't really care. Just thinking about him makes me irritated. Any advice?

He breaks stuff around the place. He has broken multiple walls and broken so many furniture. He has schizophrenia and doesn't always take his meds. He is 24. I also have a 21 year old son who hates him and 12 year old daughter. He is stronger than me and he will get physical if he needs to. The problem is he won't leave this apartment. He constantly smokes in the kitchen and gets really agitated when I don't let him smoke. If I call the cops, I know he'll come back and hurt us. He doesn't have anything to lose since he's unemployed and can't get a job for some reason. He applied for ODSP a day ago. Any advice on what to do?
I ordered 500mbps 2 days ago and I got the Nokia b3.1 delivered today. I tried to look for a place on the Nokia to attach the fiber cable, but it only has WAN/LAN ports and a power cable. I had bell WIFI before which used fiber, I'm not sure if they would still need to access electrical unit.
I work at a retail store this summer and one of my coworkers is a smoker. He argued that modern day cigarettes are not as bad as previous ones since some of the major carcinogens have been removed. In addition, he uses a "light" branded cigarette and he argues that they contain less carcinogens. Is that true?

I'm 21, in college, and I finally made money of my own! It's $300 a week! I come from a poor family, single dad so this really means a lot to me. I can finally have some warm chicken for the first time in years! I get my first paycheck at midnight (so in a few hours). Nothing but grateful.
What do I do? I'm 21 years old, going to my final year of college in september. I want to work part-time but I feel so lazy. I dont even have a resume that I've used in the past 4 years. I'm always in bed watching pointless youtube videos and movies. In addition, the thought of doing anything else makes me feel fatigue. Any advice on how I can deal with this situation? Lets say I'm poor and a friend is willing to help out with a 50k cheque or bank transfer. Will the CRA care about this? I know gifts are not taxed but just making sure.
