Is there anyone else who love the first hours of this kind of games, where everything is valuable? But then, when you got best gear it start to get borring... because why bother to look for hiden stashes if you know you won't find better loot you already have.
Bartłomiej Kubkowski has completed a nonstop swim of more than 160 km from Kåseberga in Sweden to Dziwnów in Poland.
He spent around 56 hours in the water without sleeping. A support boat provided him with food and drinks, but he was not allowed to touch it during the crossing.
This was his fifth attempt. Last year, he had to stop only 11 km from the Polish coast because of exhaustion and worsening weather.
The swim has also raised more than 715,000 PLN for the treatment of children with cancer.
I haven't seen anyone posting this, so here you go. Somewhere up on the way to free mine.
I live in Poland, in Wrocław, and honestly it’s just normal life here. Not some crazy dream country, but also not bad at all.
I pay around 2800 zl for small flat, so yeah, not super cheap anymore. People online still talk like Poland is cheap, but if you live in big city and pay rent by yourself, you feel it fast.
Food is okay. I usually shop in Biedronka or Lidl. If I cook at home it’s fine, but one kebab, coffee, and some random snacks in Zabka and suddenly 60 zl is gone for nothing.
Safety is probably the best part. I can walk home at 11pm from tram stop and I don’t really feel scared. Of course weird people exist, but compared to many places Poland feels calm.
People here are funny because they look angry all the time. In shops nobody is like “hello sir how is your day”, they just scan your stuff and done. But when I was lost once and asked older guy for direction, he walked with me like 5 minutes just to show me where to go. So people are nice, just not smiley nice.
Winter is terrible for me. Dark at 4pm, grey sky, wet shoes, everyone coughing in tram. You wake up tired and go sleep tired. Summer is totally different. Wroclaw near the river, parks, people sitting outside with beer, weekend trips to mountains, then Poland feels really good.
Most annoying thing is paperwork. One small thing and you need 3 documents, appointment, signature, and some lady in office who looks like she hates you personally.
Doctors also can be slow. Public healthcare is okay if it’s serious, but for normal things I usually go private because I don’t want wait 3 months.
So yeah, Poland is not perfect. Rent is higher now, winter is depressing, paperwork is pain. But it is safe, stable, clean enough, and everyday life is simple. For me it’s a good place to live, just not a magical one.
I’m honestly jealous of people who just start LLC and move on.
They open the form, fill it, pay, done.
For me it turns into 20 tabs and too many questions.
What state?
Registered agent?
EIN now or later?
What if I write something wrong?
Is this even the right time?
Then I do nothing.
I don’t avoid it because I don’t care. I avoid it because I care too much and make every small paper feel like huge decision.
Anyone else was like this, or you just filed it without drama?
...we had no high expectations when we played it for the first time. We hadn’t watched trailers, reviews, opinions, or comments about it. Our experience was unbiased. We were an empty vessel. That’s why it felt so good.
It was a good game, yeah, sure, but our “set and setting” was the thing that made it amazing for us.
I know it’s very hard, but the best thing you can do before playing the remake is to get rid of your expectations. Don’t think that everything is in the developers’ hands, or that it’s their duty to satisfy you. Being too demanding will ruin your experience. Be forgiving, or even blind to the glitches (which were daily bread in the original Gothic series tbh). Don’t look for mistakes and errors just to bash the devs or prove something.
Be a carefree child. Appreciate it. Have fun.
But after reading more about it, I realized a lot of people are already “in business” before they file anything.
If you sell products, do freelance work, mow lawns, take clients, sell online, or work with someone else, you may already be operating as a sole proprietor or general partnership.
That is simple because there is no state filing, no setup process, and no real maintenance.
The downside is that there is usually no legal separation between you and the business.
So if the business gets sued, takes on debt, goes bankrupt, or something goes wrong with a customer or partner, it may not just be a business problem. Your personal assets can also be exposed.
That seems to be the main reason people form an LLC.
An LLC is not required to start a small business, but it creates a separate legal entity. That separation is what can protect your personal assets from business debts or lawsuits.
It also gives some tax flexibility. By default, LLCs are usually pass-through entities, but they can sometimes elect to be taxed as an S Corp or C Corp later.
The tradeoff is that an LLC costs money and has more formalities. You need to file formation documents, appoint a registered agent, pay the state fee, and in many states file annual or biennial reports.
So the basic comparison is:
Sole proprietor: easiest and cheapest, but no liability protection.
General partnership: easy if there are multiple owners, but still no real protection.
LLC: more paperwork and fees, but better separation, liability protection, credibility, and structure.
I do not think every tiny side thing needs an LLC immediately. If there is almost no risk and you are just testing something, maybe it can wait.
But if you are taking real clients, selling products, signing contracts, working with partners, or building something you want to grow, staying informal for too long seems like a weak setup.
You do not need an LLC to start making money.
You probably need one when the business starts creating real risk.
