Skin cancer since 1984, over 25 procedures, need at least four more but I don't wanna do this anymore

Seriously between the fact that I have to be awake for this, the smell of my own flesh burning from the cautery iron, how badly it burns when they put the local in, the fact that now they expect you to go home with 60 stitches in your face and just take Tylenol*, God help you if you sneeze! And I honestly don't think I can do this again.

We suspect there's one on my lower eyelid and I stupidly looked up the surgery for that. I cannot let a doctor walk up to my eyeball with needles and scalpels and start cutting. I would absolutely lose my mind and fight back.

I don't want to do this again, but I also can NOT do another one of these surgeries awake. I've had at least 23 Moh's surgeries. Back in the 80s they didn't have Moh's, you just got it excised and well, that doesn't truly work.

I have had regrowth every single place they've taken a basal cell off of my face. I joke that my face is actually a collection of scars that I have to maintain and that the skin is incidental. I have a Harry Potter lightning bolt scar on my forehead.

* when did painkillers after surgery become bad? Someone cut into my face and removed multiple pieces, that's gonna hurt like Hell
when the local wears off. I don't need a surgeon looking at me like I'm a junkie when all I need is pain relief for that first week and there's nothing wrong with asking for pain relief after surgery!!

no pictures, but I'm interested to hear if you've had a similar experience and how you dealt with it. Anyone else had a skin cancer removed from their eyelid? Anyone else just absolutely sick and tired of doing this awake and refusing to do it unless they can have actual anesthesia next time?

100 G club at last, then 200 g :) [actives]

Bluey vuitton

this is SO visual - did you know you can sauté them fresh? Little oil, under five minute flash fry and oh my!! hold onto your hair!

Consumption question have you ever tried them fresh?

I'm asking you because I ran across the report that said five minutes in a sauté pan will not kill the actives and it improves the flavor. Has anybody tried this? Supposedly with little oil and salt?

Damn it, Terry! Moment

Rereading witches abroad and "Sir Henry and Lady Sarah Gleet" sometimes having medical knowledge is not a good thing. Gleet is the discharge from gonorrhea 🥴

Tempted to buy the spiral mixer, however

I'm deeply apprehensive about spending this much money on an appliance and not having a phone number to contact the manufacturer. I cannot locate a phone number for your company and that definitely makes me pause (seriously!) before spending $1000 on a piece of equipment from your company. I've also attempted to reach out via your ticketing system and it's been four days with no response. Do you provide a phone number for customers at all?

Which book hurts or delights you the most?

Please allow me to elucidate. All of Sir Terry's works have great emotional impact, some are the very soul of comedy and wit and some literally scrape the soul bare and leave one trembling and possibly very upset, at the concepts introduced.

For me that book is the Shepherds Crown, I was depressed for two weeks+ after reading that and I won't go into the why (no spoilers) but if you read it, you likely already know.

On the flipside, Jingo was a masterpiece in my eyes as well as Thud, and of course "Where's My Cow?" and his treatment of DEATH? I have no notes to offer, it's MASTERFUL.

So I'm curious and I hope you'll share with us, which of his works hit you the most? Both in a positive and in a possibly less than salutary fashion?
