MartinLogan Motion 40i speakers for $700 USD ($1,000 CAD) worth picking up?

MartinLogan Motion 40i speakers for $700 USD ($1,000 CAD) worth picking up?

Hey everyone,

I found a pair of MartinLogan Motion 40i floorstanding speakers for $700 USD ($1,000 CAD). The seller says they’re in excellent condition.

Is this a good deal? Would you pick them up at this price, or should I skip? I think I should grab them but just wondering in case anybody knows something I don’t.

I’m also looking at an Anthem MRX 520 AVR to pair with them. I found a deal for about 350 USD (500 CAD). Would this be a good match for these speakers? Should I grab them for that price?
Appreciate any input!

How much would you pay for this damaged carbon fiber hood?

there are cracks/chips around the edges and mounting areas, plus what looks like clear coat/resin damage on the top. It’s for a Honda civic Sir EP3 2004. I’m mainly looking to get this hood to wrap it to the colour to my car because my current hood is a different colour and has too much damage to wrap. How much would you realistically pay for it? Does the damage look mostly cosmetic, or would you be worried about the structure?

Will an Injen SP1576BLK cold air intake fit my 2004 EP3 with a K24A2 swap?

I have a 2004 Honda Civic SiR/EP3 and found a new Injen SP1576BLK cold air intake for $200 CAD.

I know this intake is designed for the 02–05 EP3 with the stock K20A3, but I’m planning on doing a K24A2 swap. Has anyone used this exact intake with a K24A2-swapped EP3? Does it fit as-is, or would the taller K24/throttle body position require modifying the piping or using different couplers?

Trying to figure out if it’s worth buying now or if I should wait and get an intake specifically for the K24 setup.

Thanks!

Update after PPI: 2004 Civic SiR EP3 for $2,896 USD ($4,000 CAD) what is everyone thinking now?

Posting an update after getting the PPI done on the
2004 Honda Civic SiR EP3 I was looking at.
The car is in Alberta, Canada and the seller is firm at $2,896 USD ($4,000 CAD). It has about 130k miles (209k km), 5-speed manual, active/clean status, and it's completely stock. Seller is also including a set of all-season tires and the stock rims.
Here's what the PPI found:
Rust around the left rear wheel arch.
Underside has rust, but the mechanic specifically said there is no structural rust at this time.
Rear bumper reinforcement/bar is very rusty and has holes in it.
Left front control arm bushing is separated from the control arm. It needs a bushing or possibly a whole control arm.
Front center motor mount is torn and needs replacement.
Front struts are sweating/weak and the rear struts are weak. Mechanic said they're okay for now b will need to be replaced in the future.
Airbag/SRS light is on. Inspection showed code 09-3 related to the driver's seat belt buckle.
Windshield is cracked.
Driver-side black windshield moulding/trim is missing.
Front windshield washers aren't working.
One side marker is missing and a couple marker bulbs aren't working.
Front tires are pretty worn at around 3 mm. The rears are around 4-5 mm, and one rear tire has a flat spot. Seller is including another set of all-season tires though.
Brakes passed and are around 60% front / 40% rear.
Hood isn't in great cosmetic shape. It had some dents repaired but you can still see them, and the repaint isn't very good.
It previously had some light hail damage repaired.
There are still a few extremely faint dents around the body, but they're hard to notice.
It could probably use an alignment, although it wasn't pulling badly when I drove it.
Valve cover gasket is sweating slightly but the mechanic just said to monitor it.
The good news is the clutch, transmission, axles, exhaust, fuel system, ball joints, steering linkage/ rack, brakes, electrical system, and structural integrity all passed.
Carfax also shows two accidents way back in
2008/2009, one listed as minor, but it has never been branded rebuilt/salvage. Inspection sheet is at the end of the photos.
So now that l've actually had the PPI done, what is everyone thinking? Would you still consider $2,896
USD ($4,000 CAD) a good deal for a stock 2004 EP3 with 130k miles (209k km)? Are any of these inspection findings enough to make you walk away, or is this pretty normal stuff for a 22-year-old EP3?

Is this 2004 Civic SiR EP3 worth $4,000 CAD?

I'm thinking about buying this 2004 Honda Civic SiR
EP3 with 203km for $4,000 CAD in Calgary.
The main problem I have is the rust around the left rear wheel arch that you can see in one of the photos. I'll be getting a pre-purchase inspection and having the underside checked for structural rust.
Assuming the rust is only cosmetic and there are no major mechanical problems, is $4,000 CAD a good deal or just fair? Are there any EP3-specific issues I should have the mechanic inspect? And if the rust is actually a bigger problem at what point should I walk away?

Delivery times

I need a winter jacket in around 1.5 months. Would top goosey be ok in delivering in that time or should I look for another agent? Should I also order through him or an agent? I’m in Canada also.

Is it possible to clean this mold and save the mattress? Is it even mold?

The first two photos are of one bed and the last two photos are of a different bed. Both were used on the ground. The first bed when lifted had revealed some mold growth on the ground so I think that one has mold but I’m not sure for the second one. Any help is appreciated!

Is $1000 CAD a good deal for this Lenovo Legion RTX 4070 laptop?

Budget: $1000 CAD
Country: Canada
Use Case: Mixed. Mainly gaming, school, general use, and possibly some light editing. For gaming I’d want to play newer AAA games, esports titles, and use the laptop for a few years without it feeling too weak. Also love playing older games like nier and Batman arkham games.
Preferred Specs: RTX 4070 Laptop GPU 8GB, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 16 inch 2560×1600 display, 240Hz refresh rate
Notes: I’m looking at a used Lenovo Legion with the specs above. Battery health is reported at 93%. Seller originally had it listed for around $1500 CAD, but it has been sitting for a while, so I’m trying to figure out the realistic used value in Canada.
Assuming everything works properly, no overheating, no screen issues, no BIOS lock, and the RTX 4070 is confirmed in Task Manager, would $1000 CAD be a good deal? Fair price? Steal?
Also, is there anything specific I should test before buying a used Legion?

Anyone know what these are?

Label on the back says there laser series 7 IV, Audio Inc. Older owner told me they didn’t sound like some white van stuff actually told me he enjoyed the sound over other stuff he owned but I’m not sure how much weight that holds.

Anybody able to shed light on these?

Buying Advice: First gaming laptop. ASUS ROG Strix G15 for $350 CAD?

Budget: $350 CAD
Country: Canada
Use Case: Gaming, school, and general use. This would be my first gaming laptop. I mostly play single-player/action games like Batman Arkham Asylum and Nier: Automata, and I’d like to play similar games.
I may also want to try some newer games if possible, even if that means using lower settings. For example, I know something like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 might be a stretch on an RTX 3050 laptop, but I’d still like to know what kind of newer games this laptop could realistically handle.
Preferred Specs: The laptop is an ASUS ROG Strix G15, model G513RC-BS71-CB. From what I found, it should be around a Ryzen 7 6800H + RTX 3050 model, but I’ll confirm the exact specs after installing Windows.
Notes: The seller is asking $350 CAD. Charger is included, laptop powers on, and the seller says everything is good. However, 3 keyboard keys are missing and Windows needs to be reinstalled.
The seller said I can install Windows on it before purchasing and check that everything is working, so I should be able to test the specs, GPU, keyboard, Wi-Fi, battery charging, screen, ports, etc. before deciding.
Is $350 CAD a good deal for this laptop if everything tests fine? Also, what specific things should I test before buying since this is my first gaming laptop?

Klipsch Heresy I for $400 CAD (289 USD) Good Deal or Pass?

Found a pair of Klipsch Heresy I speakers locally for $400 CAD. Seller says everything works properly. No grills included, but drivers seem original and in good shape from what I can tell. Cabinets are actually cleaner than they looked at first some of the marks in the photos are just some left over glue from the grills. The speakers look pretty much perfect from a few videos he had sent.

To me these seem like they’re very much worth grabbing. But I’m new to this space so wanted to ask around and confirm if I’m correct here.

Thanks guys
