I hate myself since childhood -Traitor Iron hands Horus Heresy

I have failed most of the thing in my life and I hate myself for that. I also judge myself in the head all the time and am verbally abusive against myself. Before taking medication, i used to hit myself in the head. My hobbies are basically warhammer, video games, politics and going to the gym. No job, failed university and live with state wellfare. Git recently dumped also.

I hesitate to start cathay, are they really that hated ?

I am new to old world and I really like cathay ancient imperial china aesthetics and I think I would like to get the battalion which is still on sale in my local game shop. But I have heard so many complaint about them being overpowered when they came out (typicall move of GW to sale their new toys) that I don't know if they are really that disliked and if peoples wouldn't enjoy playing against me.
What do you think ? Are they really that hated ?
