Refund

u/SecriaUpdates

I would like to make sure I'm correct on something based on your terms.

Under no circumstances you offer a refund, correct? I think I read accidentally, but that's a bit out there.

Examples

If I purchase a monthly or annual subscription and within a few days I find it doesn't work for me, no refund?

If I purchase the lifetime plan in full or opt to do the installment plan, no refund if I find it doesn't work for me the way I'm intending.

I'm asking because it doesn't appear you offer a trial for your paid plans but only offer the free plan that is lacking some of the features.

If I'm correct, this is a bit concerning. Almost all companies offer some type of guarantee. You are a relatively new company so I can maybe understand why you don't but investing money into a product that doesn't work isn't good for the consumer either.

I'm all about startup companies but $699 is a but steep when stepping into the unknown. I'm not one that has known about your service for a while so this would be jumping in blind for me to a degree.

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

Thank you Drime!

u/Empty_Win_297 - Tibalt, I know times have been rough lately, but I want to thank you all for everything you have been doing. I'm looking forward to all that is coming. I especially love the updates you have been giving on this sub.

To everyone else - I have seen several posts about adding additional storage and some of you all saying it's taking days to get it added. I actually purchased 6TB last night to add to my storage. I sent an email about my storage and went in today to check to see it was there because I hadn't received a reply that it had been added. To my surprise, the additional storage was there.

I'm not sure if this mattered or helped, but when I sent the email, I forwarded a copy of the receipt of purchase from the account associated with my Drime account along with a quick message that I would like to add the additional storage. I figured this would save them some time from looking to confirm the purchase and having the correct email address.

Hope this helps you all.

PSA for Lifetime plans & SC

This is to warn anyone planning to buy a lifetime subscription from Stacksocial to NOT do it! I repeat, DON'T PURCHASE!!!

An email was sent to existing users they are doing away with the lifetime plans. It appears only 5TB will be transferable and more than that, who knows? It sounds like if you have more, you will have to pay a monthly/annual subscription and will lose anything over 5TB. It's honestly not very clear.

As an early user, this is very disappointing. I understand not allowing new signups, but they are taking away what they promised early users. They are in essence taking away our lifetime access by not honoring what we purchased. It's even worse it's still been available on SC and those poor people aren't even aware.

Such a shame!

In contact with Google Workspace

I still have about 4 months left on my Google Workspace contract. I started with a great promo, but had to commit to a year. Since that time, I have Visionary that will suit my needs. I also have a custom domain on my Google account.

I know that if I cancel my contract early, I still owe what is left. If anyone has done this, will they charge my CC on file immediately or bill me?

Pros/cons to move while still in contact versus waiting until the end of the contract?

A sweet feature

Ok Lumo...I see you and see what you are doing!

To add context, I have Lumo+ and I added some info about myself to include I'm learning Spanish. I asked a question and Lumo answered nicely and then proceeded to reply that since I'm learning Spanish, it might be useful to show me a new word I may not know. It was definitely an uncommon word and was much appreciated. A quick language learning lesson while asking a question...NICE!

Which is your go to or wish you hadn't purchased and why?

I have a few cloud storage accounts that I've had for at least 6 months. After using each of them, primarily on my phone either via app or web on my phone, I'm starting to find out I prefer some over others. This is due to development that has occurred, speed, ease of use, features, cost, storage amount, etc.

The main ones I'm referring to are Drime, Koofr, Filen, pCloud, Felicloud and Folder Fort. I have others but these are the ones up for discussion.

My fav at the top of this list is definitely becoming Drime. The one thing it's lacking is WebDAV and the reason it's not at the top, but there are so many other features that I can overlook this because it's on the roadmap. The developer is very responsive and present on Reddit and I appreciate that.

I know some will probably bash me for this, but Filen is near the bottom of my list. This is due to my user case. They have a chat feature, but this only works if someone has Filen and I have yet to know someone who does. There is a note feature but it's hit or miss. In my mind, if it's not reliable, it's useless. There have been too many times there were issues with slowness and upload issues, which was apparently due to so many people signing up. For me, I'm just not overly impressed with it. Again, this is MY opinion. I really wish they would make the chat optional because I feel like it's a waste of space.

At the bottom of my list is Felicloud. While I like the features, the amount of times I have been unable to upload docs because there was a server update has been annoying and flat unreliable. The files eventually show up , but compared to the other services, it has just been bad.

So, if you have any or all of these, what are your favs and which ones do you regret dealing with and why?

Catch-all with domain in SL

For anyone that uses SL and catch-all, have you noticed on the fly catch-all doesn't appear to be working with a custom domain?

I signed up on a website and used my domain with the name of the business name @mydomain like normal expecting to receive a free ebook. I waited about an hour and nothing. I tried using another catchall and nothing again.

This is very unusual behavior.

I was a former user. I purchased a few months ago and quickly realized the experience wasn't going to work for me, especially the Android app.

Fast forward to a few days ago. I received an email stating many changes were recently performed to enhance and improve the user experience and to see if I wanted to come back along with a nice discount.

Can anyone confirm how the experience has been for the past few weeks, primarily if you have the Android app, because that's what I will be using the most? If that hasn't improved at all, then it's probably pointless for me to try again. Any other feedback is welcome. I don't really use my computer much so I'm really focused on the Android app and web interface.
