Clan Brandolorian just dropped a video detailing a recent statement by Charles Soule telling us that “the powers that be are always watching” and hinting that our support for Ben Solo is being noticed!! Please like, comment, and hype the video on YouTube, we need to spread the word that there is still hope for Ben Solo!!
If anyone knows God of War, you probably know what I’m talking about.
If you don’t know God of War, Kratos is the protagonist, a Spartan warrior born to a powerful legacy, unaware of the horrors of his lineage until he is made a pawn in a war between his family and their enemies, where Kratos commits a seemingly unforgivable deed and is forced into servitude to evil powers who manipulate him into maintaining their power, before Kratos rebels and in a rage destroys the entirety of the Greek Gods, including his father, uncles, former allies, alongside countless innocents before realizing what his path was doing to the world and choosing to break the cycle by sacrificing himself to make sure that the hope of the world is restored to help the survivors rebuild. Sound familiar?
Ben and Kratos have a lot in common even in their respective trilogies, and with The Hunt For Ben Solo in mind, it is possible to develop a story similar to that of the Norse era God of War games.
In those games, Kratos has survived and is trying to avoid his past and his potential for destruction by hiding away from the world at the expense of his relationship with his only family remaining. He is then forced to go on a journey that causes him to open himself up to others, to stop running from his past and accept it, to be better and to try and encourage others to be better and not make the same mistakes he did. Eventually, Kratos achieves redemption and is now the God of Hope, no longer feared but loved, and now has a new family that helps ground him and give him the strength to keep going after all he has lost.
Ben’s story in THFBS could very much lead to a story arc very similar to Kratos’, one where Ben goes from hiding his past and not wanting to rejoin the rest of the world or open up to his remaining loved ones to a truly redeemed and beloved hero who has made up for his sins and redefined what his legacy would be. What do you all think?
This IG story has a link to the UCF library complaint form. If you’re also upset about the impromptu closing of Downtown Library, CMC Library, and Libtech by UCF, fill out the complaint form. Let’s get as many people filling it out as possible so we can put lots of pressure on UCF to reverse this and protect vital services our fellow students need!
Saul Goodman I think could, but Ben might not like his methods lol. Phoenix Wright is another, because he’s very good at swaying unfavorable judges. Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters could both work as well, if only because Matt can literally suss out the truth in court and they both can give a good argument about how mentally damaged individuals deserve healing and rehabilitation rather than inprisonment, and Ben can do more as a relatively free man seeking redemption than locked up for the rest of his life. What do you guys think?
Found this and was amazed at the quality! This deserves so many more views!
"Tishra Kandia hurried toward them, Rey's necklace dangling from her hand. Kandia was a top intelligence officer, and one of the few who never balked at his orders to expend First Order resources to find the girl."
