Hello, are there any trans people ? I came out to my mother a while ago, but she still refuses to recognize me as trans (even though she's very open-minded) because she thinks "it's just a phase." She also says she doesn't understand the point of transitioning, and when I tell her either that it's unnecessary or that it's about feeling better about yourself and socially, she says "it doesn't work, most trans people are still struggling afterward." Even when I tell her that's not true—I talk to lots of trans people online—she says that "it's because those for whom it didn't work withdrew from those online communities."

Does anyone have any other arguments to convince her/help her accept me?
