Looking For Alternatives to Techwear Club

Hey all,

I've always wanted to get into techwear, because there's parts of it that I liked, but I was never quite able to find my niche. However, I stumbled upon a website called Techwear Club, and I found that a lot of the clothes on there spoke to me in a way that a lot of clothes never have. However however, I've also learned that it's mostly fast fashion, cheap materials, clothes don't look like what they do in the picture, and they frequently send you the wrong order, but expect you to pay to send it back. Not a good company, from what I've heard

I was wondering if anyone knew about any women's techwear websites that had fashion like this? I've browsed around recommendations, but most of them are either not quite what I'm looking for, and/or are mostly men's fashion (pics for reference of what I'm looking for)

Update:

I have since discovered that this is not techwear at all, which makes a lot of sense in retrospect. HOWEVER, I have found some stores that I think fit me better, and as far as I've been able to tell, don't follow fast-fashion business practices

That being:
* Lunafide
* Fabric of the Universe
* Hard N Heavy

I've also found pieces I like from a company called Halara, but most of their stuff is on the more mainstream side of things

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions that helped me get what I was looking for!!

Why Chop No Happy? :(

Lately, I've decided to try playing with Chop in story mode. It never interested me before, but now I see a meter and I want to fill it

However, I've been playing fetch with him (in grass), taking him for walks, and rides in the car. I ground at it for at least an hour last night, and it didn't even rise a sliver. He still whimpers and barks when he's not following commands, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong

Is Chop just broken on my save file? Or could I be missing something?

Is It Normal for Indeed to Censor Queer Topics?

I was reviewing my previous job on Indeed, and I attempted to note that my position was very accepting of queer minorities. Specifically, that I had plenty of gay and trans coworkers, they were very respected (even by MAGA coworkers, at least front-facing), and there were a substantial number of them in our leadership, especially relative to the industry (IT) at large

However, when I went to submit it, Indeed said my review had "inappropriate language," and I was unable to submit my review until I removed that segment.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or could this be a really weird bug? I really hope that Indeed doesn't consider queer topics to be inappropriate for professional discussion, but I'm not sure what other conclusion to draw from the evidence

Why is the Lord of Blades Such a Popular Villain?

To be clear, no judgement is intended from this. My first Eberron campaign, and the one I'm working on right now, both have the Lord of Blades as their overarching villain. I just wonder, why do we see him more often in this sub compared to other villains? We could have Lady Illmarrow, Mordain the Fleshweaver, the daughters of Sora Kell, Quori, or a slew of others. It's not that we don't see these villains, but I feel like I see a lot more discussion, and a lot more minis of the Lord of Blades compared to these other characters

Again, no shade, I like the Lord of Blades myself for a lot of reasons. I just wonder why we don't see as many discussions about the other villains? Or is this just my own little Mandela effect?

Any D&D Groups in the Area?

Hey all,

22 tF, looking to meet other people in person for D&D or other TTRPGs! Mostly looking for people around my age (early to mid 20s), but I don't have a problem going a little older

The games I know are:

  • D&D 5e
  • VAMPIRE 2e
  • Monster of the Week
  • Call of Cthulhu 7e

And I'd love to learn others! PLEASE teach me others

I currently live in Grants Pass, and I'd be willing to go as far as far as Ashland or Roseburg for sessions. Not looking for online groups, and I'm DMing for another group, so I won't be able to play DM

Looking forward to hearing from you all! Feel free to DM me :)

Green Goop May Have Gunked Up My Schrader Valve. Do I Need A New Tube Or Can I Fix It?

Hey all,

Some context: I got a new tire for my bike, and thought I mounted it on backwards, so I flipped it, only to find out I was right the first time. However, it was hot outside, and I was tired, so I left it for nightfall.

When I came back though, I found that my tire was deflating very slowly, and only to a certain point. Later, I tried to reinflate it and just keep the tire on backwards, but I found that it's no longer retaining air (either the air isn't going in, or it's leaking out shortly after I pump it in)

What I believe happened, is that since I'm using a green goop tube (I forget the brand name), the goop accumulated in the valve with repeated inflating and deflating, and clotted when I left it for nightfall. I've recently gotten my hands on a core removal tool, and when I remove the core, I'm able to inflate the tire normally (though obviously without the core, it doesn't stay that way)

I've tried cleaning it with a damp cloth, and isopropyl alcohol, and so far, the issues persist. I've tried cleaning both the valve core itself, and the inside of the valve with these methods. Should I buy some dedicated bike cleaner? Or may my valve just be screwed?

What Would Happen If You Brewed Gamersupps Like Espresso?

Hey all,

May be a stupid question, but I've been thinking of brewing a shot of espresso using some gamersupps just to see what would happen. Like tamping it, and straining water through it, treating the powder just like espresso grounds

My guess is that most if not all of the powder would dissolve, and I'd end up with a shot of 600 mg of caffeine, but I wonder, has anyone tried this? If so, what happened? Is there anything I might want to watch out for?
