The AI is useless isn’t it?

Was doing a long print (testing something) and I didn’t put glue down so some of it shifted and caused the print to become a stringy mess.

But did the fail protection kick in? No…it’s just running its little happy ass around printing like my 2year old colors.

Ground leveling + Sand

I am having my yard leveled and sand put down in preparation of my 16’ above ground pool being put down.

Quote I received (hard getting and responses and I’ve only gotten 1 so far). Is about $1485.

Scope of the work written below, but does that sound reasonable or way high?

“ Remove a designated section of the existing fence along the side yard to provide access for skid steer equipment.
Fence section will be carefully removed and set aside for reinstallation after work is completed.
· Sod peel an approximately 18-foot diameter circular area at the location designated by the homeowner for the
future above-ground pool. Remove and dispose of all existing sod to create a smooth, clean base.
· Fine grade the excavated area to establish a level surface suitable for pool installation. Install the homeowner-
supplied ground tarp over the prepared base, ensuring it is properly positioned and free of wrinkles.
· Supply and install approximately 1 inch of clean play sand over the tarp. Sand will be evenly spread and
screeded to provide a smooth, cushioned surface for the pool liner installation”

Anyone tried the Jalapeno Wrapped bacon poppers from Costco (Custom Made Meals)?

I don’t see anything that looks suspicious to me, but just curious if anyone had a yay or nay on it.

Looking at an above ground pool have some questions…

Looking at buying a Bestway Steel Pro MAX 16' x 48" Round Above Ground Pool Set.

As well as a ground cover.

Going to level the ground as best as possible, put the liner down and put the pool together.

This is mostly for kids and I want to keep the chlorine levels bearable. I have a buddy with a salt water system which is awesome and want to try and keep it at that level.

Is there a brand of chlorine people recommend? Is managing the chlorine levels a huge pain?

Be careful holding your littles when they are having a tantrum.

My kid at the end of December was about 1 year 4 months old.

I was holding him because he was having a bit of a tantrum and while trying to calm him down.

When he went to slap my hand away, he inadvertently poked me in the eye.

Now….I’ve been hit in the face, I’ve gotten crap (not literal) in my eye….

The amount of pain this caused was immense.

Ended up going and seeing at least 3 eye doctors. 1 was my regular, the other an emergency, the third was a specialist.

I have had a contact bandage in my eye for 3 weeks at a time (leave in) and using antibiotic drops and lubricant drops.

After about 4.5 months we took the contact lens out for the final time…..

Until that night it had another erosion (think scab picked off). That then lend to having to have my eye scraped last week Monday.

3 different drops 4 times per day, now down to 2. Will be on them and swapping contact lenses every 3 weeks for the (I assume) few months.

Protect your eyes my friends.

(I did get a copy of my eye scraping. It’s wild and he said he still saw an imprint of my kids fingernail)

K1-Max Jams

So I’ve poked around on Reddit for some tips and thought I solved the issue but it still keeps happening.

I have a K1-Max with about 530 hours of print time. I have had 0 issues for most of the times (other than stringing and print fails with sticking to the plate).

But recently printing with PLA I keep getting Jams in the extruder. I first thought it was the silk PLA I was using (though it did a 10hr print just fine), so I switched to a hyper PLA which I’ve used with no issues.

Also found the sticker that says to remove the lid when printing with PLA. So I did that.

I printed something came out great.

Went to print something else it printed for about 2 minutes, jammed again and “finished the 7 hour print” but was just the initial layer.

Will the DXC upgrade help fix this or is there something else I’m missing.
